I noticed a lot of stylists are wanting u to come already shampooed...I think that is part of going to the Salon to get a full service from beginning to end...back in the day that was unheard of.
When my daughter told me that's "normal" now I said no... yall getting ripped off now. Even if the stylist wants more clients they should have a shampoo person to have everyone prepped. How can they tell the condition of your hair? Breakage? Shedding? Recommend products and/or treatments? She said that's because I'm used to the salon; she's going to the beauty shop. 🤦🏾♀️
@@MrsThollo I don't go to a salon anymore bt 3 years ago when I did my stylist detangled, scratched my dandruff (if I wasn't getting a touch up bc I was still relaxed at the time), shampooed, n deep conditioned my hair. Heck thats the whole point of going to get your hair done. Its so relaxing to get all that done. These IG n kitchen stylist started this come with ur hair washed already mess lol

I asked where are y'all finding these new ppl. "IG." Sooo... Someone on IG watched someone on RUclips (no offense allofdestiny) and now they're in your head. Don't know anything about medications, mixing dyes, the difference between dry scalp, dandruff, psoriasis, etc. Weave's gonna look good while their real hair and scalp is a mess and they'll be forced to keep going to these people to cover it up.

I’m so glad you touched base on the washing the hair before you come in! Like to me it makes more sense to have the hairdresser see the previous state of your hair and do it from scratch (take down, wash, dry). I think we (especially in my area) are used to these braiders that operate from their living room and require the hair to be washed and blow dried cause they don’t have the tools/don’t know how
And also, a lot of them charge the bare minimum because some people H A T E to pay for time/labor so they ask for all that to be done already because what person wants to waste their time and do extra work for free? lol

I can’t speak to psoriasis, but it’s definitely pretty apparent that you have scalp issues. A trip to a dermatologist should help with a diagnosis and cure/treatment.

Your sis is right about the psoriasis. I have scalp psoriasis and when my scalp is flared up it looks exactly like this all along my hair line and behind my ears etc.
They are teaching DeSade some good stuff. I don’t go to salons because once you get under that dryer most stylists leave you for dead! And I’ve never gotten a head massage!!!

Some of the high end natural hair salons want naturals to do all the work but still charge upwards of a $100 to $200 for services. I went to a regular stylist and asked if I needed to wash or detangle and the answer was, "no, that's what I'm here for." Great video!
You may have seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. I have it, and it's so annoying with the flakes! Mine has gotten better since I wash my hair more frequently.. But still sucks lol
@@ladycam84 I stopped using the stuff my doctor gave me bc it just made it worse. I take probiotics and I use African black soap (liquid form) or a tea tree shampoo. I wash my hair like twice a week. I still have it but it's not so bad anymore. My next thing is working on my diet.. bc I feel certain foods trigger my flare ups 😕
@@DisturbingChronicals thank you, I stopped using prescription medication a long time ago, it was a temporary fix for a permanent problem, I switch between black soap, trader Joe's peppermint and tea tree oil shampoo and Grandpa John's tar shampoo also MG217 is a good shampoo and works good, my scalp gets use to certain things too quick so I have to switch it up once a month
@@ladycam84 I'm going to try some of the products you mentioned and see how my scalp responds. I will try eating more fish.. But I have to be in a "fish" mood lol... not my normal go to! maybe you can find a supplement that is high in omega 6 without it being fish related. Maybe check Amazon they have a nice variety of supplements they may have something
I think you do have psoriasis, I’m suffering from it to and I cant figure out how to deal with the extreme flaking. If Desade figures out any tips and tricks please share! ❤️

Mine had gotten really bad from stress so I did go to the dermatologist and started using a medicated shampoo but it just won’t completely heal.. it gets better for a little bit and comes right back. But thanks for sharing love and keep us updated!
If you have scalp psoriasis you may want to try FLUOCINONIDE 0.05 topical solution. I have plaque psoriasis on my scalp and that's what I use. I've been using it for 7+ years now. Also try DermaRest shampoo. It's available OTC.

I had severe eczema (I mean severe: almost black, oozing, red, etc.) and I couldn't use the steroidal creams because they aggrevated a hormonal problem I have. I found through some experimentation that I've a milk allergy and intolerance to rice and potatoes. I also started taking probiotics. Within a month my eczema almost completely disappeared (lost some weight too XD) and what's left can be managed with OTC lotions or natural moisturizers like shea butter or jojoba oil. It's difficult to avoid those foods, but it's worth it not being in pain everyday.
Looks great! I really would recommend you go to the doctor and get your scalp checked if untreated it could cause balding over time. It's a headache I have alot of build up as well just have to wash my hair weekly to keep it under control. I admire that you don't hide it or ashamed 😍

Hi also a cosmetologist your scalp can be caused by something u eat also like I have it also it flares up when I eat tomatoes . Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition and dandruff is a fungus
Paul Mitchell products is very good I tried the sample and I'm impressed is so hard to find the product in my area the only place that sells it is Ulta beauty is a little bit pricey but I will get the products one day when it's on sale and at a discounted affordable because I have dry itchy scalp and my roots , middle,back don't retain moisture like the front of my hair and the ends middle and the back of my hair is damaged due to a stylist damaging my hair b playing with and doing the process of the styling the incorrect way so it's it's a medium shoulder length alittle uneven but the front of my hair is long. wow the shine that the products cave on your hair and the silkness very nice she did a good job on your hair it looks amazing👍👏😍
