    It's impressive watching a single piece of equipment able to perform all of the jobs you need it to do. That thing quickly becomes indispensable when you own a nice piece of raw land. Even the wife wants one.

      It’s a great piece of equipment! It can do most everything, but not efficiently or as easily as the “right” piece of equipment. Thanks for watching!

    Great job falling those trees right where you wanted them to go.

      Thanks! Tree felling is one of the most dangerous activities that we do out here, so I try to take my time and do it as safely as possible. Thank you for watching!

    Not to suggest you don't know what you are doing but as soon as those wedges came loose, that was your clue it was falling and time to clear out on that big tree! I'm really enjoying your videos! Your humbleness and honesty are refreshing in this day and age!

      @@rafenatho5406 I agree, I should have realized it was going over much sooner. That was the first big tree I had dropped in over 8 years and I was quite rusty. Thank you so much for watching!

    What is the make and model of your brush cutter? What brush cutting blade do you use? Are you happy with its performance? Thank you.

    Do you have a bandsaw mill? You have logs for good lumber if U do.

      We do! I doubt I will be able to set it up this year yet, but we have a Wood-Mizer mill we plan to make great use of in the near future! Thanks for watching!

      They sure do. I am planning to build or buy a plow for the backhoe once we start staying at our place year-round. We have roughly 2km of driveway we need to plow ourselves and another 3km of private road that we will help with plowing. Thank you for watching!

      I have the Stihl FS 131 "T" handle trimmer with a 7" forester chainsaw brush cutter blade. I love the blade, it is much easier to sharpen than the normal toothed blades. I also think the chainsaw teeth can take more abuse than a standard blade. The only drawback is that the FS 131 barely has enough power to run the blade. It works, but I would really have loved to run the larger 9" blade with a bigger trimmer. I will probably do that soon, and turn this one back into a string trimmer. My apologies for not responding to you sooner, we were traveling all weekend. Thanks for watching!

    What would be an average length of time a tank full of fuel will last for your backhoe? How far do you need to travel to get fuel?

    • @thehardway406
      @thehardway406  Месяц назад +1

      The fuel tank is just under 40 gallons. It lasts about 10 hours when working it really hard, but normally it lasts me about a week. Thanks for watching!

      Haha, it sure is a useful machine! I would love to go through it next spring and do pins and bushings. It would tighten up the machine and allow me to work it a bit harder. I was being pretty gentile when I was pulling those stumps due to the sloppy pins and such. Thank you so much for watching!
