I’m pretty sure the hardwood grading rules you can have select 5 1/2 inch but 6” or wider is preferred. And another thing. I was having problems with my log turner it had no power to turn the logs so I copied the sprocket size from Mark Galicic and now it works awesome This man knows his stuff thanks Mark
My knowledge of a sawmill is minute. This is what I do know, your operation is kept reasonably neat and clean, it is after all a sawmill. All of the people including yourself have good personalities. All phases of your operation are well lit and one can understand what is going on and the commentary is insightful. As you stated before you’re working a full-time job also running the sawmill with Eddie and I think you’re doing a pretty good job, you’re selling all of the lumber you produce and you regularly post videos that people can look forward to. To me, a clear video that is well lit when you are turning logs and clear and well lit video when they are being sawn. As far as I’m concerned I can’t ask for any more than that. I would imagine it’s reasonably time-consuming editing video and getting it ready for publication so thank you very much.
You know you are the best channel if you are getting attention from other channels. Please keep doing what you guys are doing. It’s fun and interesting to watch. We come to watch and hear you guys go about the business.
Love watching your videos, I also like Wallace Farms and sawmill. Of all the sawmill videos I watch the big difference is you explaining what your thoughts are as Wallace farms also does.please keep on doing what you’re doing.
What a difference with fresh logs and nice grade ..mark you do what works for you don't pay too much attention to what people say I love the way you do things and explain your thinking 🤔👍👍👍
Mark Galicic, my wife & I enjoy watching your videos as we lay in bed getting ready to sleep. We enjoy your commentary & your little sayings like "doggies up" & "doggies down" make my wife & I chuckle. Sometimes we find ourselves saying it along with you, lol. Keep it fun, Mark. Great videos!!! PS: Still can't see the laser but we keep looking, lol. 😃😃
It's great to see ZZ back now. You're sawing cherry, Jason sawed cucumber logs, and we need some of Nathan's black walnut to have a great salad lol. Bill
So im into woodworking and all of that, I dont understand grades of lumber all that much. I unfortunately or fortunately see all lumber as usable pieces. I know what I look for which is pretty so i'm guessing thats select. Also this is the most Professional sawmill page that I have ever watched. And I have been watching for years now.
Six o’clock Sunday morning nice cherry boards coming off the mill , nice to watch having my full English breakfast my sciatica is starting to ease off , little Chinese fella has been manipulating it seams to every time I see him much better than pills , anyway you guys have a nice day
Get along little dogies get along... Cherry makes a good snack, especially with CHOCOLATE!!! That is a pretty stick. Nice clean cherry sometimes it really is too good to be just firewood. I guess any wood is that way.
Great video mark I'm sure you've probably explained it to the viewers before but when you first get into the log and create your parallel sides you're getting a lot of work done that your edger don't have to do because after you make the next turn within one or two cuts you've got a board with straight edges that's work your edger didn't have to do
Professional or not. U r who u r . That's is all anyone can be. U have very good content in ur videos. Not a lot of swearing or profanities. That is why I look forward to ur videos. Thank s Mark.
Very nice Cherry . Good video , Have fun , you guys are professionals ,don't let sad people bring you down . The majority of people would agree with me! I'm sure . Thanks
Nice small logs. Beautiful cherry lumber. Stay as you are my friend. You are THE professional that makes a hard job look easy. Love your videos! Day Hi to Ed and ZZ for me. 👍

That is some beautiful Cherry Mark. You’re an awesome sawyer and I honestly think you have the best channel on RUclips that’s why you have 87000 subscribers it’s because you guys are good at what you do. I would be curious to know which channel said you were unprofessional
@ we all appreciate the videos you put out weekly I’m sure I can speak for many of your viewers You are the reason I started a RUclips channel and we are at 870 subscribers now. Big part because of you. Thank you
Certain species cherry one of them the Sap wood looses moister much quicker than the heart wood .causing what they call Sap wood pull. Boards with Sap and heart are much more likely to warp .dosnt effect grade ,but can effect quality. God bless
I think I've finally figured out what kind of cherry you've been sawing, not fruit trees, but the scion they use to graft fruit trees with, what we call wild cherry out here in the west. The fruit are plentiful but very small, suitable only for birds and such.
I was going to ask whether or not the laser was just short amount at the beginning of the log or the length of the log and I had that answered earlier when you were turning one, I saw the laser was quite long. I learned something today, I learned something every day.
😊😊 HI 👋 😊 MARK all of the red cherry 🍒 😊 logs would've been better if they the same like 👍 😊 last log makes more lumber and I never get tired 😊😊 of seeing 👀 😊 the red cherry logs since I don't never see none of them around here maybe dad and his dad and his father and mom's dad back in the day 😊😊 mark I went 2 the sawmill w dad a many of days when I was out of school 🏫 😊 4 the summertime and I don't remember seeing any of them if I did I don't remember none of them at all its sad 😮😮 2 say now thats been more than 4O years ago 😊😊 OMG 11 9 2O24
Was just wondering why you cut up your slabs instead of just bundling them up and strapping them together and sell them that way? Glad to see ZZ is back!!!!
Keep up your “unprofessional” work because I’m sure it’s way better quality than the Karen’s are producing. DOGGIES UP, DOGGIES OUT, DOGGIES DOWN! My daddy was a mill foreman and he was just a step below the big boss. He loved his work for 40 years at the mill. Y’all do great stuff.
Question???? you call that lumber cherry but that does not look like anything I have seen called cherry, the fruit tree or even wild, they have smooth bark that basically goes around the tree. now I have seen trees called "cedar" that are actually cypress , is that what is going on with this "cherry". now I am from the Pacific Northwest and we have tons of Doug fir, hemlock spruce , western red cedar and several types of pine and spruce. we also have birch, popular, cottonwood, alder, maple, mostly soft wood as hardwood is rare. just wondering...
Unprofessional ??? Some people are just a ‘stick in the mud’. S. A. know-it-all. All bound up with how great they are in their own mind. I like you’all just as you are.👍
I don’t think the other channel specifically said your name. He said that they are professionals and not a hobby mill Which still shouldn’t of been said I do believe that’s what your talking about. You guys are an excellent crew and you know your stuff I doubt many others have your experience I can’t wait to see all this cherry sawed up and grade sawed properly by a professional and that would be you Mark and Eddie
Regardless of being “unprofessional” or otherwise there are always things that have to be taken seriously, safety of people, i.e. guards on moving equipment, lighting, slips, trips and falling hazards, safety of the premises, I.e. fire, weather conditions, movement of heavy equipment. Over the past couple of years I’ve been watching this channel has done a fairly good job of showing these things, can there be improvements, definitely, but all in all everything seems to workout. I watch to see how different types of trees end up being lumber.
If people don't like the content they should watch something else. I like your channel just the way it is. So does my grandsons. Thanks for what you do.
RUclips is becoming so unreliable, getting cancelled from so many channels it’s getting ridiculous, hope you get to 100K subs without having to ask everyone to keep resubscribing as I had to, but hey it’s probably in your best interest since the total never go down.
You can steam Cherry like some do with walnut it turns the sapwood the same colour as the heartwood its sawed piled tight then steamed Then put on stickers to air or kiln dry
The only type of proffesional I want to see is someone like you that thinks about what they are doing and how to do it better. Plus all you co workers still have both hands
