I pray they fix that. DragonFist is literally known for finishing off Hirudegarn and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work against giants, it deserves to be an exception to the rule. It needs a special animation against giants too tbh

Atp, i'm starting to think alotta these people are just claiming to have played BT3 back in the day to fit in with the crowd because the fact that these idiots are saying "it was like that in BT3 too" is delusional af because all BT3 players know that Dragon Fist was one of the only exception for Rush Attacks working on giants. I literally had an arguements in the comments of another video that literally showed a clip of Dragon Fist workin on giants in BT3, yet the idiot i was arguing with was like 'oh well it may have worked but the animation of the Dragon wrapping around them didn't work on giants"..... I was like when tf did BT3 ever had an animation of the dragon actually wrapping around opponents... smh can't make up the delusion of these people when you prove them wrong

I think they would fix this anyways because this is from a demo, but it's better everyone show these errors so the developers dont get lazy and forget these mechanics.
These developers have shown themselves to be very receptive to fan feedback, so if this isn't a demo only thing then I think they'll listen.

I feel like what it was in BT3 was not so much specifically that Dragon Fist could hit giants, but I think it was a property of SS3 Goku (and similar *tier* characters) that they could hit giants, which would include their rush attacks
In Tenkaichi 3 all three of Goku SS3 , Tapion and also Trunks (Saiyan armor SSJ) were able to use their ultimates on giants (don't know why Trunks could do that maybe they forgot to make it not usable on giants) but ido agree that SS3's dragon fist needs to negate that giant armor on ultimates

Gt goku dragon fist (base form)
Gt goku ss3 dragon fist
Kid goku penetrate
Trunks ssj1 heat dome attack
Tapion finishing move
Yajirobe - finishing move
Goku ssj4 dragon fist
General blue - finisher ( not positive )
After watching many videos I noticed that the cinematic part of any ultimate attack don't work with giants, they simply deal damage and knock them away. If you think about it, giants in this game wouldn't fit in the cinematics due to their size so Spike needs to work in new cinematics to somehow make the giants fit in them. In some cases a new camera angle is enough but for the Dragon Fist they'll have to modify the attack, for example making the dragon bigger because as it is it's not big enough to "eat" a giant character. Back in BT3 this problem didn't exist because giants're just slightly bigger than normal characters.
There's still 3 months until release so I hope they'll work things out.
Didn't they already confirm that we have a ratio battle in this game? Where the characters who are low-level who aren't supposed to be able to attack higher levels will be able to in that mode. ALSO later equipment will also characters like Krillin to be able to stun characters like giants and Gogeta.
They also just showed a battle with Hercule versus Super Saiyan blue Gogeta and the Hercule cannot hurt him. But they also confirm that in the game you will be able to take those weak characters and be able to build them to be able to fight stronger characters like Gogeta. I expect them to do that versus Great Ape characters as well.
Though it's odd that Super Saiyan 3 Goku couldn't hurt great ape Vegeta and that clip. I'm going to assume this is early build scenario
I hope they fix it but I'm still hype for sparking zero

That is a big deal that needs to be fixed on the double
If its a balancing issues it would be nice if instead of making Giants immune or do damage just have giants just stumble to the ground to avoid such attacks. It wouldn't invalidate Dragon Fist while preventing the attack from doing damage.

U can tell who didnt play the original Tenkaichi games. Imposters fr. Thats how its always been and i dont want that too change. Your not supposed to grapple big characters cause they are BIG. Its not a error, its a mechanic. Cause if it wasnt u could spam grabs on big characters and they cant dodge them.

Great Ape Vegeta in BT3 was double the Size of Goku. Here he's like 3 or 4 times the size of him.

Just like the original Tenkaichi games you can collect the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron. In SZ you will be able to collect the Super Dragon Balls as well. If you preorder the editions that give you them early, you get to wish early. Hope this helps! :)

All so GT goku & SSJ4 goku version of Dragon Fist work on gaint characters as well. I hope they fix this because this starting feel like Xenoverse on how the do gaint characters.
Giants are way bigger on the new game I guess they trying to avoid clipping kinda like how moves be going through fat buu belly on the new game

When you get the chance, since I no longer have the access to BT3, can you test if Tapion or SS3 Goku has a non-ultimate rush attack and try that. They might have Dragon Fist as a non-ultimate for SS3 (which would be stupid) and if I remember correctly, Ultimate Rush attacks work on giants (with certain exceptions on certain characters) but not non-ultimates. They might have SS3 Goku’s ultimate as a massive Kamehameha, instead of Dragon Fist (which would be stupid). Just a theory. Either way, Dragon First should definitely be allowed on Giants.

I believe Yajirobe was another one that had a rush attack against a giant.
Twin Dragon Fist should work too! If It worked against Janemba in the Movie then it should work against all Giants too in game!!!
In bt3 it wasn't just Super Saiyan 3 Goku and tapion that can do that.
It was the power level of the character to be able to do that to another character.
You can build a Krillin to be able to do that too with equips and stuff.
Defaultly. I just assume that they didn't implement that power scale system for these demo builds yet.
They still have the glitch where giant character spawn in the floor too in these demos so I'm certain that these are early early builds

the dragon fist was used specifically to kill a giant character to keep up with the movie same with Taipion. For the attacks to not work on them now makes no sense since they only ever used them on giants. (talking about SSJ3 goku form specifically.) Outside of the dragon movie and GT, he's never used Dragon fist.
The only reason why i can see it working in the old game was because they wanted to keep up with making in game cinematic and make it accurate to the movies the stories were based on. If Hirudegarn isn't in Sparking or even the story, I guess there would be no other reason to include that mechanic but it would be nice to keep it.

Ngl I don't really care about Goku's SSJ3 rush attack I'm just worried about Beast Gohan's rush attack bouncing off And I think that's what they are going for that only Beast Gohan can rush attack a giant character
I'm playing BT 3 right now on my PS3. I can confirm rush attacks do NOT work on giants.
Rose my only complaint so far is that with the new transformations we've seen recently; the hair only starts "waving" at the last half of the transformation, like the last 2 seconds. This can be seen with late Gokus ssj transformation in new gameplay.
We need that hair to be wavy as soon as the transformation starts like it was even in the earlier builds and trailers and anime! Not the last 2 seconds of the transformation. Other people have left comments on videos saying the same thing. Just something that would help with the games immersion and is too noticeable IMO.
Maybe its cause the giants are a lot bigger and it's harder because if that and because of the insane graphics but i still hope it will be fixed cause it would be lit.

Edit: from a balancing perspective (I know some characters are meant to be broken) but this is new age so in a way it makes sense especially if it’s with online

The thing is, it doesn't even matter because no one plays giants characters anyways. The actual meta is around 7 or 8 characters on BT3 and in competitive no one never has pick a giant character, so if devs wants the game to be played on EVO, they might know that.

It's not just End of Z SS3 and Tapion every Dragon Fist move works on giants so Goku GT base, ss3, and ss4 will work.

If it’s a bigger character it should wrap around them
