This is the video that brought Tina S to my attention. For me, this is the closest anyone has gotten to matching Eddie's original version both musically and ability to make it look effortless. I've been a fan and subscriber ever since. Rob she had just turned 14 when this came out.
This is the first video of Tina, at 14 y.o., after 1 year of practicing electric guitar, with her teacher Renaud Louis-Servais who films her.

I just saw Tina S play for the first time with her DragonForce F&F cover not long ago. Truly, this is the closest to anything I have ever heard to Eruption. The technique, precision and sound is undeniably amazing.
She HAS to play this by ear as I can't imagine that there is any sheet music on this stuff!
Really really need to check out her Dragonforce cover: Through The Fire and Flames. Believe she was 15 years old when she did it.

Yeah? Seems to be barley a warm up exercise for her.
Look at her ..
No flash cloths;
seated;
Flat black back drop;
guitar has a blond neck for contrast.
no exaggerated facial expressions;
no huge & cool amp. stack showing;
It's all about correctly executing the music for her,
Not look at me I'm so cool.. Just the music
That says a lot about out music hero's vs. true talent.

She is as mysterious as she is brilliant. Although there is nothing in her face to suggest that she is enjoying the experience.
I am curious to know why her right hand travels along the guitar neck to pluck notes in unusual places. With an acoustic guitar, it is possible to play "harmonics". The basic "harmonic" can be found at points along the open string, (called: "nodes") which exactly divide the length of the string in simple ratios. Artificial harmonics can be added by plucking the string and simultaneously touching the the string at places which induce the nodes in unusual places. This is very tricky, and although I was able to do it, the resulting sound is very fragile, and I don't think it is possible to do it at any speed. An electric guitar may well overcome some of these limitations. I assume Tina has learnt to pluck these harmonics to perfection.
And the electric guitarist has a technique called "tapping", which is hardly available to his acoustic counterpart. Even so it must take years of practice to achieve the speed and fluency of Tina S.
I assume Tina can conjour these techniques out of the aether, to astonish us with her technical brilliance.
