      Todd, Mine does not put out that much heat and I have 5 people drawing ice from it throughout the day. The vent is on the front so its okay to have a a snug fit under counter. Just be sure to plan for the condensate line or pump if needed. here is installation video and condensate pump. hope it helps:

      Christina, sorry to hear. I spliced the water line into my cold water supply. Make sure there is good pressure. Then install condenser or drain. Then plug in the unit and hit the power button. If you get an error, power down and even unplug for 10 min. If you toggle the float and a power down does not work, you likely have a bad control board (brain). I recommend returning. I’ve been contemplating ordering this machine. I’m hesitant cause we had the GE Profile Nugget Countertop Ice Maker and had issues with the lines clogging with sediment. The lines were jammed into the unit and so small you couldn’t get to them.
    Have you had any issues with sediment clogging lines? Do you have it thru a water softner? Filter?

    • @terryclayton
      @terryclayton  Год назад +2

      Hi Carlos,
      I definitely recommend using softened water. I also have an inline filter. After 2.5 years I have no issue with sediment. I do occasionally turn off unit and wipe down with vinegar as I see trace pink color from iron and I don’t want any mold growing. Now that you mention it, it’s probably a good time for me to pull the system out and check the drain and lift pump to make sure all lines are clear! I have no hesitation in recommending unit. I’m happy with it. Cheers and good luck!

      No, the unit does not have a refrigerated storage bin.

    How do you drain it?

    • @terryclayton
      @terryclayton  Год назад

      Hi Albert, there is a drain in the rear of the unit. You need to run a line to an existing drain. Of you can do what I did: I ran the line to an automatic pump that was tied into a sink drain. Works great!

    Talk about how to operate the machine and maintain the low temperature..

    • @terryclayton
      @terryclayton  Год назад

      This model runs automatically with full sea air. Regarding temperature control, the bin is not chilled but more like an insulated bin, thus you want to have a drain line.

    Beware of the e2 error code

    • @terryclayton
      @terryclayton  Год назад

      Yes, I do see it, but a power down and manipulation of float will quickly self correct. It would be nice if Mfr could fix this bug. 😏

      @ ryanbenskin813 The ice maker isn’t designed to work at a commercial duty. So first thing to do is to manually defrost the system by switching the unit off for at least 48hrs. Then change the ice cube setting small cubes. If you require larger ice cubes it should only be for one cycle before putting the size back to small. That should resolve the e2 error code flashing.

    My machine is holding a lot of water. The drain hose is not clogged.

    • @terryclayton
      @terryclayton  Год назад

      I’d recommend you shut it off and troubleshoot the draining. The bin is not refrigerated so ice bin needs a constantly draining condensate line.

    Not clear ice

      @terryclayton  Год назад

      Hello, in order to get clear ice you will need to use distilled water. The more pure your water the more clear the ice will be.

      Sorry to hear Ron, what was the failure mode on your unit? Did you get any support from Euhomy?
