    After installation, you can find Plaxis 2D V20 manuals in C:\Program Files\Bentley\Geotechnical\PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition V20\manuals.
    PLAXIS is program that has been developed specifically for the analysis of deformation, stability and flow in geotechnical engineering. The input procedures enable the enhanced output facilities provide a detailed presentation of computational results.

    It seems that you did not lower the GWL inside the D-wall. May I know how to change the GWL during staged excavation? Thanks.

    It would be helpful if you explain it

    Every time I finish the construction stage and try to run the last step-calculation, the system tells me the phase 1 can’t be calculated, every time!

    why is equivalent length of the fixed end anchor(strut) 15m in the x direction. I understand the struts are spaced at 5m apart

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад +1

      Equivalent length in X direction is 15m because we model it only half of problem, meaning total length of strut is 30m.

      @@EngineerHunter why can’t u model the whole 30m excavation? In reality the force on 2 sides are normally different

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад

      This is tutorial model only. In reality, we study it base on real site conditions.

    Sir, if we do excavate 30 metre width. Then can we provide 30mtere long strut with the help of fixed end anchor tool?

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад

      Yes, you can but you need to make sure to use equivalent properties.

    How do you determine tue stiffness of tue strut ?

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  9 месяцев назад +1

      You can determine the stiffness of strut by computing from the strut member cross section. Normally, you are required to know the section to compute the I or A and the E of material.

      @@EngineerHunter thanks for the answer. But in the fixed end anchor to take in account the symmetry of the model do you determine the stiffness like : Es • Astrut /(L/2) or just like : Es • Astrut /L?
