Yeah private individuals or consortiums etc. Some might be owned by investment groups etc, but it's hard to find the information online. If these high end instruments go into Bank collections or public collections you usually hear about it and with most of these the trail seems to run cold.

Well, the rumour has it that it may have been made by Vuillaume (or similar) but wouldn’t “experts” be able to tell the difference? Isn’t that the only thing they are supposed to be good at?! LoL In any case, I’ll let you know when I get to test it, hopefully not in a too distant future!
