  • Video is great for engaging people during a presentation, with something dynamic and emotive, or to provide a clear explanation of a difficult concept. Finding video can be difficult, but there’s a little-known site called RUclips that has a few billion videos to choose from. And you can embed RUclips video in PowerPoint very easily. This tutorial shows you how to embed a RUclips video in PowerPoint, along with the options you have for presenting with it and some of the pitfalls you need to be aware of.

This is very helpful! However, I tried starting my video 57 seconds in both ways and it simply won't work. Any ideas on what's going on and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Hmmm... that's odd. Does the video play at all, just not from the right place? When you copy the URL with the time stamp, does it have ?t=57 at the end of the URL? Did you definitely paste that into the Insert Online Video box, rather than the standard URL? I don't know of anything in PowerPoint that would cause this to be a problem and I'm unaware that you can stop this behaviour in the RUclips settings of a video either.

Yes, it had the time stamp. The weirdest thing happened though--after trying the same thing repeatedly, it eventually just worked. Go figure! Thanks for your response! Have a great day!@@Brightcarbon
