I first heard that song memories on the radio and I thought "This sounds a lot like a remix of canon in d", Although I never really liked that because it only included parts of the song, and the original canons will always be a lot better than the modern remixes.
Even if i couldn't explain why, i think this version is more beautiful than the "Canon in C" or "in D".
These things does happens, with art. We often couldn't explain it but we feels better with a piece than with another, from the same genius artist.

This version is more quiet and melancholy than the D major version... that one is more peppy and joyful sounding. The C major (my least favorite of the three) is more bold but less expressive.

This version sounds more nostalgic/melancholic to me. For one thing it makes me think of Vitamin C's song "Graduation."
Another thing is it makes me think of an old married couple reminiscing on how they got together.
Funny how playing the same song in different keys can evoke different moods.

Wuah, playing Canon in B is more feel deeper than playing Canon in C. And more smooth too.

canon in D is the original, canon in C is the first arrangement, and canon in B is same as c but half step down

At first, I search up Canon in b because I found a meme about Canon in D transposed to 🅱️. I am expecting a meme remix, but I found this gem. I am a novel writer, and I am deeply affected with this music. It resonated with me, it is lockdown, and I wanted to be happy again. During that, I discovered this, it started myself to experimenting with music. Now, I can make my own music, my stories are more emotional and I now progressing to make my own animation and game that uses beautiful melodies.
My favorites keys is B major (this song, song of longing of solace, calm winter), G# minor (vengeful feeling, upbeat, truth to be unraveled), A major(youth spirit, fighting spirit, energetic and rebellious), D# minor (Bad apple, epic fight song), G major (sounds classic, medieval), E major (Sunrise beach, refreshing, a new day!), C# major (Rainy, cheerful)

+Fabulus Chicken I hope you also know that you can literally play any song in any major scale. so you can also play it in g major and so on.
Don't play c bacause its "easy", that will make you useless (unless you really want to play the c one because you like it), and one more thing, please, make you goal a difficut piece (idk "La Campanella" or "Ballede no.1 in g minor") and make canon the first step of hundreds of steps.

Tina Love it's the key signature, it determines how many sharps or flats there are in a bar of any given piece of music. So the key of C Major has no flats or sharps, they key of B minor has 2 sharps.
Each letter is the name of a musical key. "In B" has the main note (tonic) be the note B. "In C" has the tonic be C. et cetera.
I don't understand as well, does the pitch of b key lower than the d? Cause playing in key B like it's lower than the D one but in the note B is higher than D. Or it doesn't really matter just about the main key is on B.

Yes indeed, its funny to start playing with Canon and then switch to Maroon. Works well to gather crowd in public places.
Some other english songs like Proud Of You , Be The Light also uses the same tone as this but in a seperate lyrics.

One is in the key of C and the other in the key of D is how it was explained to me.
In piano there are different "keys" a piece can be played in AKA the scale of it. Different keys can be used to play a piece
