  • Ooh, this one will be tricky!
For the last of the glass series, I’m going to be painting a glass of white wine.
I’ve been looking at golden age Dutch still life paintings of glass and have tried to emulate the quality of the light of those paintings in the reference photo - although, our approach will be a little more impressionistic than those meticulously painted masterpieces! Let’s see how little we can paint, and still have it look like cut glass.

An other one that's exciting I wanted this subject again. It was the first painting for evaluations so my teacher knows what he's dealing with... Lol wasn't bad but no values or color, it was monochromatic & he liked it and said it was better then he thought itd be.....

Love the videos Paul! I downloaded the ChromaMagic App and it's fantastic. I was wondering what brightness do you use with your laptop to match colours/values? Thanks!

I am planning on signing up for the art school. Will I have acess to all past photo references?

Not yet, but I'm working on it. The community software doesn't make it easy to upload a photo library, but I'm hoping to have that sorted out soon, and they will all be there.
