That was amazing to watch… definitely better than the original painting and the highlight on the rim with the apple is actually BETTER with it 😂… thank you… Only found you glad I did ❤
Paul consider returning to a film camera for your samples With a higher dynamic range, film is better at capturing white's and blacks' details and can't be replicated with digital cameras. Also, film can capture subtle details lost in digital photography. Film is more forgiving of minor focusing issues and exposure problems The dynamic range is crucial for shadows. A lot of Museums use film instead of digital for archival photographs. Film producers still use it in Hollywood for its wider color gamut as well. Improving the chroma. Just a thought 😊
Thank you, I didn't know that! How difficult is it to get film developed these days? I do like being able to immediately process and then share and work from my photos. But now I know a little more about photographt than I did, it would be interesting to see if I could get better images to work from with film.
@@PaulFoxton Theres a few high quality labs here in the UK. I know Richard Schmid used film and digital for this reason(Alla Prima). I used to be charged around £3/4 for a hi res scan. Yes i know digital is cheaper but you end up with a hi quality print with fantastic chroma and correct values as mentioned due to increased dynamic range. Theres quite a few labs nowadays. Ive blown up negatives poster size and its like night and day with digital comparisons. For a camera id recommend Medium Format like a Hasseblad or Mamiya or Pentax 67. Look around. There bargains to be had. I did my own developing as well both colour and black and white. As a bonus this would make for some great content for your channel as most people arent aware of this. Love your streams. Sadly missed last 2 live ones but i catchup on youtube. Keep em coming 🙂
Your tutorials are on another level. Please keep them comming.
Thank you!
It is becoming really obvious how important values

Absolutely the most important thing.
Great classes everything amazing! Thanks for free lessons. I love your videos Paul
It's amazing how the sugarbowl suddenly went from just some patches of colour to a three dimensional object. Thank you Paul, great work
I really enjoy your classes. Thank you.
