Glad to see you back and making videos! I disagree with your take on Leader/Follower in Banquest. I actually find the leader position to be preferable because getting first and last pick is huge. First pick lets you set the tempo of the entire draft while last pick lets you plant down a solid counterpick that the opponent has to respect. Using your strategy you're now stuck between banning either the top tier I picked, or the counterpick I pulled out of my hat. This strategy and my deep bag of mid tiers no one plays helped me get all the way to top 16 and beat players like Animal and Baked Goods. As long as you have the meta knowledge to line up counters (I dipped into characters like Spider-Man and Robin Hood even) you can put follower in a tricky spot.
Also, as resident Moon Knight main, I'm really interested to hear your opinions on my boy. I'm half tempted to post my own matchup chart for him and I'm curious how much you would agree/disagree with.

Ya, that makes sense. Like I said, I didn’t make it out of groups 😂 So not saying to do my strat, but I do like the idea of my strat, especially if there is a huge drop off between the top 6 fighters and everyone else… I don’t think there is a huge drop off now necessarily. Though I did at the time of SOL. I’m glad the line between S and A is blurry.
I think Leader/Follower are both balanced very nicely and it comes down to personal preference. I had matches where I chose leader and ones where I chose Follower. Kinda depended on the comfort picks of my opponent. Also it's a different strat for Bo2 from pools vs Bo3 from bracket.
@@zeroskatr12 Very true! Bo3 I definitely felt more confident as leader since my strategy (weird counterpicks) was given even more wiggle room as I could afford to drop a game. When playing for points instead of the set you definitely need a different strategy and then you probably want more generally good fighters (Yenn, MK, Luke) and the difference between leader/follower becomes very slim.
What is the strategy to going against T-Rex as leader? In this hypothetical she isn’t banned and I’m not picking her. Bc as follower you can leave her be and if picked you have map advantage and hopefully a 1/2!counterpicks. But how does this work as leader for you?
@@monte2413 T.Rex with split is actually super counterable. The reason she’s so terrifying in full advantage is because she gets map (which she needs to be a character) and gets to go first which means she can get in and attack early while your hand is still low and might be lackluster. Now you’re behind on tempo the whole game and can never really risk doing anything back to Rex or else you die. Going first against Rex gives you the time to find solid defenses, build up a hand to protect against ripples, and fan out to make her life very very difficult.
Going first, I think a bunch of characters can do fine or even outright beat her, like: Achilles, Yennenga, Bigfoot, Moon Knight, Widow, Panther, Ingen, Alice, Sinbad, Miss Marvel, Sattler, Houdini, She-Hulk, Genie, and Medusa.
