      @@oldguysguitarvlog183 Yeah the other 3 songs that got dinged were just warnings but I'm not monetized anyway so to me it doesn't matter. And if I do eventually monetize, I won't get micro pennies on a couple of old, low views videos. I think it applies under Fair Use which includes education, criticism and commentary - mine was commentary and gushing praise to boot, but if you dispute it and you lose, there are horror stories that RUclips can nuke your channel with no recourse, no due process so I was afraid to even try to dispute it. When I make mistakes in my playing in my vids, I often joke that I did it on purpose to keep the YT police at bay.

I gig with it on the heavy channel, with the lead button clicked into 2....gain about 3 o'clock, bass 12, treble and mid 3 as well....a lot of people ask compliment me on my tone and ask what pedals I use to get that sound (I don't use any)...so that really says something about the amp

      I think some changes to Eq and reverb

    • @michaelbarber1123
      @michaelbarber1123 5 лет назад +5

      Yes. On the newest DSL100HR version They added 2 master volume controls, tightened up and added a little more low end and reduced the fizziness in the highs on the red channel that people complained about on the DSL100H version. They also re-engineered the half power mode (and incorporated it into the front standby switch instead of having a switch on the back) so that it operates at a lower plate voltage rather than affecting the tube triodes, so now the tone isn't affected nearly as much as before at half power. Other than that, they stil sound somewhat similar. The new HR version is quite a bit better tonewise and has better features. The newer model also has an 3.5mm MP3 input, headphone output, speaker emulated output, more speaker output options and a MIDI input. There's also a new 6 button footswitch (sold separately) for it that allows you to use all 4 channels (2 green and 2 red) independently, as well as to turn the effects loop and reverb on and off from the floor.

    • @GearGasms
      @GearGasms  5 лет назад +2

      @@GearGasms the newer 5150's are designed by Eddie van Halen and are made by fender. They do sound great also. I have a peavey 5150 ll which was also designed by Eddie. Its 120 watts all tube and if you like playing van Halen style rock it really cooks. After eddie left peavey to make his own signature amps peavey kept making the Eddie designed 5150 but changed the name to 6505 but its identical in circuit design.

      When a Marshall 100w head normally starts at $2400, yes $899 is inexpensive. A 15 watt Fender Blues Jr is $599. I have a handful of Line6 amps as well as Fender and Blackstar combos. Not every amp I own is in my backdrop. I stand by my assessment. I got my DSL as an open box for $630 and and my 4X12 used for $500.
