Excellent video. I have the same tent as you and condensation is a problem. Was thinking of getting this quilt but don't think I will now.

great to see a review that actually used the bag and in some realistic UK conditions too I think the camera fogging added a delightful bit of authenticity ! So often there is just a heavy dew and everything gets soaked regardless of what you do and regardless of how good your tent and other equipment is, you can sometimes help it by opening all the vents in the tent, your body gives off a lot of moisture while you sleep, but ultimately it is what it is. I love my corus quilt but for me it does have something of a specialist role and I only tend to use it for dryer and potentially warmer conditions or for adding a layer to my thermarest ohm in winter. For soggy British weather I use a snugpak softie elite which excels in the damp and wet.

Thanks for your comments, I used the quilt on the Cumbria way at the end of August and it was so comfy, I lnow know what you mean by the soggy weather we have over here. Atb Darren

Nice review there buddy. Have you had this quilt out much over the winter? Looking into getting one as I too hate bags. Do you recommend this one?

Hi. No I've not managed to have it out thay much this year, I did the Cumbria way with it at the end of July and it was great for that. I need to test it more in colder weather. I think it's lacking a little bit of fill in some of the baffles to be honest, would I buy it again? Not sure because to get better would mean spending more money. I am hoping to do the West highland way in April and I was hoping to use it then, I wouldn't take it down below 0°c. Thanks for watching. ATB Darren

If it helps, I used to hate bags until I bought a Thermarest Questar 20. It has more room in the shoulders, hips etc. I'm a side sleeper and I love it. My only issue is that it's too warm - I've tried it down to zero with only a single thermal layer. Might do a review when I've used it more.

That’s very helpful to me as I’m undecided,it looks warmer than the corus quilt.Tell me does the questar have a full length zip?

@@redpillnibbler4423 Well, I suppose technically not. It goes down to about 8 inches from the end of the bag. It's definitely a proper winter bag and so nicely made, a real premium product. I'm going to be reviewing mine, possibly today, so if you subscribe you can pick up my review, though there are already others of course.

Good review, I could see myself getting this quilt for my hammock setup

After a lot use I now think it could do with a little extra fill in some of the upper baffles.

that's the part about quilting most people forget. It started in the hammocking community. Tent sleepers saw the weight difference and it got popularized there. The problem is this quilt is definitely designed to be used in a hammock where the insulation value can be a big more flexible.

I wonder if it will fit on my sea to summit either light xt pad which is 65cm wide and 10cm thick. The price is okay compared to other brand ones.

I would probably go for one with a little more fill in it but it depends on when you are useing it. I only really use mine in the summer months. ATB Darren

@@bluehighfly I've just bought a mountain warehouse down quilt which will fit nicely over the Corus to increase the comfort limit, if that fails a snug pak jungle blanket should add a little extra lol.

@@bluehighfly must because I had a Black's down filled one in the 70s. Used it for 30 years in all weathers. Even slept out in middle of a snow winter with just plastic sheet covering. That's before we had bushcraft campers. Cost 18 quid in them days. Can't remember sunlight gaps although it did get a good shake. It was very compact for its era.. There is a lot of pretentious shite on the market too and over priced.
I watched a bushcraft thing the other day. It made me laugh. Bloke trying to chop a dead tree with an axe which was only fit to chop soft wood in your coil oil to light the kitchen fire.
He was very proud of is acquisition.
Anyhow, liked your video and the effort you put into it thanks.

Hi just bought the 32, I do plan to use a jacket with it In the colder weather but looking at the stats they both have 650 fill power but the 20 has 200g more weigh fill power than the 32 approx. Will be using a thermarest x lite with r rate 4.5 as this will make a huge difference to retain heat in winter. Great review, hoping to be using mine soon.
