- This is a Demo of the tech mod NOT my playing ;) First Day... watch the tips on the head and listen..
An argument against Aerodrums drumming system is the sticks cannot be used on surfaces and so lack rebound.
I've made lightweight reflectors that sit atop real sticks, set back from the tip, which play great on mesh head(s) as a hybrid Air / Surface kit - along with modified real pedals using Aerodrums reflectors - seen @ 1:10 - ** I've got much better by practicing with this setup - so keep wise-cracks & lols for some other part of the internet that cares! ;) ** Видеоклипы
Ohh boy , looking nice
This is brilliant.
i love this. this solves many peoples problems
Thanks for the tip - waiting for my Aerodrums to be delivered! I wonder how much better you are 6 years later?
👍 cool, hmm better than I was but not that much tbh, need to practice more but do use AD whenever need live drumming parts, have concentrated on other instruments and voice! Butesound - man down ( Barbarossa ) is a track of mine featuring drums I played via AD. On yt somewhere.
Hi Ben! nice video! i have an e-drum broken, Can i buy aerodrums and pretending to play with a broken drum? Because I would love to feel the rebounds on the snare and toms though using aerodrums as you showed in your video.
sorry for my bad english
Attacco Dei Giganti - hi , yes. Provided the camera can see sticks hitting or 'stopping' and can see the foot markers on your feet (or like me on pedals) and you have modified the sticks like I have, you can set the kit to match where your drums are. It may take a bit of effort at first to get it set up correctly but then it should play well. I get on fine with snare only and maybe tom, and 'air' for the rest!
God bless my brother
I really like the direction they are going with these.. but I still feel like these are a little bit too unresponsive to play along to full songs with.. I l9ve Alesis strike pro se! I'd try these..
As a recent purchaser they are very responsive
Super cool. I wanna buy this but I’m really worried about that light
Hey. It's not so bad, plus mods are available that are IR light.. pros are the lack of stuff and wires and space it takes up vs light .ruclips.net/video/MjGzBxiW6kw/видео.html
Can you explain what material(s) you used to make your modified stick reflectors? Did you buy foam balls or something and add some reflective material or paint to them?
Frank Genus sure ( from other reply) Cheers, its the same grey stuff you find on hi-vis jackets/vests. Bit of pain to glue but worth the hassle. Foam for the ball shape was from a water noodle float ;) cut to a cube then shaped spherical to be same size as stock reflectors. Keeps it all as light as possible. it is easier to use the spare reflectors aerodrums!s come with and put a slot in them, this of course is an aerodrums Specific mod. 👍
This is cool. I wonder if I can make a hybrid w this n my Alesis strike pro se
Great idea.
Since that, did you made a full rebound kit?
ori doron cheers, I mostly keep it like shown as is quick and neat, sometime bring in another mesh head or two to act as Tom or hihat depending on what doing. will get good use over next few weeks as recording some new material for an EP, need to sharpen up with practice before that though..
Good Luck Friend!
Would you be willing to make some of these and sell them
Great! what was used to make the reflective tips?

Thanks for the info. appreciate it! working on a rebound system myself
BDTR1969 🤔 - foam balls covered in retroreflective material.
BDTR1969 I'd probably use the spare balls to do what I did, but wanted to not cut them in case this approach didn't work. bit of an odd Q for a new owner but anyway good luck.👍
What material did you use to make the bump stop
Hey yeh - it's from a 'water noodle' 😏 firmish foam. - with a bit of rubber stuff glued to top just to prevent foam breaking up over time and abuse. Nowadays I also have an up-stroke stop (cable tie going across pedal to stop it coming up very far after a stroke ) to dampen down movement as can sometimes register as a hit in aerodrums. 👍
can you make aerodrums foot markers
Hi, I don't see any reason why you couldn't make diy ones. just best to check the reflectivity matches originals on the software so it plays as it should.
My foot markers not detect in Camera why?
No idea, try aerodrums forum via their website. 👍
