Honestly "the maybe, maybe not" is a life saver. I used to use it like 200 times every day. Now I only have to use it a bunch of times a day with only minor discomfort.

@@thefrieguy4328 i do like the "maybe, maybe not" more than liar. Because if you say OCD is lying, you are already arguing. Just do the maybe, maybe not and sit with the uncomfortable feeling until it passes on its own. It does work, have been subclinical now for 2 months.

I'm glad this guy is here on RUclips. I started recovering and healing from OCD anxiety deep depression hopelessness starting July 2021. And I didn’t discover this guy's RUclips channel until this year.
His advice is the stuff I learned and read from OCD books and researchers. So it's good advice

Thanks for making these videos on OCD and anxiety-related issues. Your videos are very helpful. I would like to request that you make more videos on sensitive OCD topics, such as POCD, Real Event OCD, SO-OCD, and OCD involving intrusive thoughts and images, etc. These types of OCD need more attention since many people suffer from them silently.

I *HATE* the advice to "focus on my breath" during a panic attack, cuz they usually it starts with feeling like I'm breathing wrong 😅 I find that my best short term panic treatment is distraction. 9/10 of my panic attacks happen while I'm driving, so I just turn on some music I love and try to ignore my body lol

I had a panic attack at work about a year ago. The paramedics came and gave me an EKG in the HR office. Awfully embarrassing.

I just had a panic attack and went to the ER lol 5th time this year and I'm starting to fight the bluff now I'm starting to notice and get used to that its just anxiety but I have to let it happen and not panic and go to the ER and these last times I'm starting to think clearly and pin point the symptoms and not have that anxiety brain fog where you think and see everything as super dangerous and I'm not feeding into those mental and physical symptoms dumb anxiety I've been doing extremely well daily but this panic attack just hit me when I woke up and it's really difficult when your resting and your heart rate is at its lowest and you wake up and you're at just hit with a truck of adrenaline doenst really give me time to think but if I was awake I would of easily prevented it but it's whatever I don't fixate on blood pressure or heart rate especially when I'm in a panic attack I used to overthink that but it's normal adrenaline is pumping and im not scared that it's gonna happen again and I'm not creating mental blockages due to getting anxiety/panic attacks when I was doing a certain thing or at a certain place and avoiding them also doing exposure therapy when recovering from anxiety is not about if you're feeling symptoms or needing to be calm your facing your fears everything is gonna feel worse before it gets better you gotta be uncomfortable so you can be comfortable and that's the part of anxiety that's difficult but you gotta put in the work

Crazy but I’ve discovered this method a few years ago when I got nighttime attacks. Actually works when you analyze the symptoms without getting upset at them. It really does trivialize those uncomfortable symptoms when you remind yourself what’s going on and that it will be over soon.

I am for some reason terrified of 4 way stop signs. The takeaway I got from this video is I should map out a route that has a ton of 4 way stop signs and drive it regularly, let the fear wash over me, and keep doing this. Stop running from 4 way stop signs. Thanks

This is a piece of wisdom. Buckle up. Well, when it comes just say hey welcome, treat it as another person, I personally treat ocd as a snake. I Believe that it is not me , I say heey welcome My snake 🐍 carry on doing your thing, carry on do as much as you want. And let me do my thing. Accommodate it as someone inhabiting in your brain. Give it a room and space and privacy. Detach from it, respect it lol let it do its thing and you do considerate not watch it. Hey you, you do your thing. Just learn to live with it in 1 room. Treat your ocd like a snake. Let it speak, let it curse, let it frighten you. Say do as my as I want. I don’t care since it is not me. You are not me and byeeee bye panic attacks ❤
