Another stirring and vivid review of a forgotten classic, Phil. I've seen clips of the Michael Redgrave story - brilliantly acted, IMHO, despite the "posh" accents of the day - but I've never seen the whole movie. I've now found it and intend to settle back and watch it thanks to your evocative but thoughtfully critical commentary (I find 'ghostie' stories the most chilling, too!). Great stuff - really enjoying this Halloween series of yours!
Excellent spooky film, very atmospheric horror much like the American Val Lewton classics from the same period. There's a 1972 BBC anthology series also called Dead of Dead, it's quite good too though (apparently) only three of its seven episodes survive today.
Blimey phil another rave from the grave!!😂..Blimey Googie was fit 😊...been watching lots of b/w stuff recently 😳...eerie...excellent review mate hammergazz
That was about the most endearing film review I have ever watched! ❤👍

Cheers mate. Really like this one. Think all the stories were good, especially the one with the dummy.
Simply put there WOULDNT be any other horror anthology films if it wasnt for this one, here we have the inventor.
Yes totally agree. Its the godfather of the anthology film. Also one of the best.
Not seen this film yet.
Definitely worth watching. Some scary moments in it.
I have to watch this film.
Its worth watching if you like anthology films John.
@@MrSuperphil I loved the Anthology films mainly Amicus films. Asylum is my favourite.
Mine are Tales From the Crypt and From Beyond the Grave.
Without a doubt it's a very good film and it's ideal for this month of Halloween! 🎃
Yayyyy kitty 🐈⬛. Love October. Great time for horror movies.
