@@DetriotDown Well if you're that negative about it then take your own advice and don't buy it. I bought it as a first drone figuring that if I wipe it out no big deal. Well I sure as hell crunched it into just about every hard surface in my house and have yet to replace ANY props. It's not the greatest one but for a learning tool it works. Flight stability is an issue if you're expecting the thing to jump off the ground and hover steady as a rock. Just won't happen. BUT looking at that in a positive light it certainly has helped me to learn control of the little thing. Battery flight time is short but right now it's enough to learn on.
I fly my old drone spider twice this size and it is rough. this drone i know as shadow X and it is smooth. for the price I suggest to you get it, it is a great trainer. right out of the box it is calibrated and has a manual take over as it auto pilots take off. easy to control, do it gently. My spider I had to manually calibrate balance which can be a pain but it will function better than store bought I'll admit that. The quad air drone is perfectly worth it. camera can be adjusted and a place at the bottom for your phone.
I'm sure you can manually move the cameras shooting position before take off. The camera is rubbish, but to learn how to fly a drone, these are pretty invaluable. Thanks for the review. Bless

Got one yesterday, instructions suck, but once I got everything figured out it’s a wild little drone. Fast, agile, stable, records video and all the stuff. I’m happy with it. Upgraded the batteries to 1800 MAH that should arrive tomorrow for a bit more flight time

I just bought one, and took it out today. If there is any wind at all forget it. Also about the camera, I took the front camera and swiveled it towards the front. There was a little crack sound, but it still stays steady in the new location. Probably broke it but i dont care. As you swivel it, there actually are some indentions at 90 deg, 75 deg, 35 deg, and back to 0 deg. those are approximations. thanks for the video. its is cheap but flies better than the other drone i have.
My sis bought a pair of these for myself and her husband. Out of the box, you can tell it’s cheap. For me however, it’s my first drone and I hope to use it to learn to fly and ultimately buy another much higher quality drone down the road. So far, it’s been a great time learning.
You got the point! This is a cheap thing just to enhance your finger fine motoric capabilities and to prepare yourself for something serous. I got it also for same purpose, and if get stuck on some tree, I don't care.

This was my sentiment. I got 2x for $160. That way my kid can learn too. I’d love to spend $500 but I’ve never flown one. Steers great is the only thing I care about tbh
The quarair drone camera can be manually rotated to point forward. Probably 15 deg downward from horizontal. The flight control is pretty stable & easy. Pretty fun to fly around & it's price is low enough that if it crashes and breaks... no big loss. Works for me, but I'm not highly invested in any specific drone and my requirements are quite minimal.

My back right arm is not working its not spinning fast enough to get the drone flying, I try everything and still not working, I replaced the arm and same problem persist and for some reason no matter how many times I try to recalibrate it will not recalibrate smh
You have to manually rotate cam up so no ground video. They fly good as you say but video does suffer and flying time is not great on one battery. Thanks for review
I guess what I’m saying is this probably is a really great drone for someone’s first drone to learn on and for a younger person that may want a drone and you don’t want them to crash a very expensive drone right outta the box
That depends on how much you have to fight with the trim settings. I was given a drone for free a few years ago to try out, and I spent more time trying to fight with the trim settings on the drone than actually fly it. I crashed the drone more times than I can remember. If a drone has trim settings, I wouldn't touch it. More expensive ones use GPS to hold their position and are much more stable. Otherwise, unless it has a cage like the Mavic Mini, then a younger person will more than likely crash a cheaper model faster. Now I have a Mavic Mini and haven't crashed it once.
It's not ....its my first ngl it is fun for the 6 min battery life and 3 hour charhing time , and if u fart in its direction its in the mercy of breeze

I recently purchased one from quad air. Haven’t flown it yet but I noticed you were flying the Friné to low for the camera to show anything. Maybe if you’ve flown it a bit higher the camera would’ve shown more. Just saying.
thats a perfect field for learning to fly all drones... yesterday i got to high in a matter of seconds with one of my tiny ass fast little drones and before i new it it was just a spec over neighbor house and big ass trees...i lost orientation than cut throttle... any way i could not find the bugger... i only have one of these little hot rods left from 8 years ago made by JD...they have way more speed(like 25mph or more) than the little alt hold drones i bought recently...it does not matter how good you think you are at flying you can always get a brain fart and lose orientation in 2 seconds if you get careless... i bet 1/2 the drones sold each year get broken or lost in the first week... nice review..
i run a bail enforcement business and I have 5 of these. I use them to check areas for wanted personnel, they're cheap, so if they're destroyed, no big deal. I have also used these to locate a lost child for the sheriff. you get what you pay for. I love them.
Hey bud! I got this drone today but by another company. A lot of the E58s I see, the top buttons are COMPLETELY Generic and my top buttons have Actual Labels on them and they are not Vertically Stacked, they are WAY smaller and side by side, also...You HAVE TO ADJUST THAT CAMERA BY HAND!!! My E58 I paid for a secondary Camera and that one is facing 120 degree downward and that front camera, like yours slides up and down, I already moved my camera and if faces forward. Try it buddy and see if that happens, but yes, my E58 has 2 cameras and My control is way cool!!!! I dont think our top buttons do the same thing though.....Thanks for the video!

Thanks for taking the trouble of making this video. I bought one of these about a month ago. First time I tried it it worked OK. Recently I tried to fly it again it flipped over on takeoff as one of the rear motors will not run. The other motors turn freely but the bad motor makes a grinding noise. I have contacted the seller and they ask for a short video of the problem. I have not had time yet to shoot the video. I am curious to see the reaction of their after sales department, will it be the usual excuses or will they actually honour any warranty. I will keep you all up to date on the out come.

I could almost forgive the downward facing camera because you said it actually flew pretty decently. But I can't excuse the freaking 6 MINUTE battery! That's insane! I've never owned a drone before and I was looking for a nice camera mounted drone to use. I thought this was it. 😔

I bought this drone over six months ago but knew nothing till I watched your video so did fly in my room with crash but it was ok and now I know will try in open ground to get the hang.
I can't even get mine to take off. Its connected to wi-fi, and I can see through the camera on the app. But it won't connect to the controller, all buttons do nothing. Does anyone know why this would be the case? My batteries are fully charged.

Usually they have TWO cameras, which you can change in flight, from the control software. I think you may have been using the 'belly' camera, not the forward one.

So I have a atlas drone and it doesn’t work I have batteries and I connected the battery it’s self to the drone , it’s a bit diff than yours , I hold the open button on the drone and it lights up but then when I try to fly it with the controller nothing works, I need help

Got two units for $99.00 for my grandson within five minutes the eight-year-old had the drone in the air and having fun. Don't believe every adult on RUclips.
True some people can’t figure out how to recharge the battery on the drone when the battery of the drone is what needs to be removed and plugged from battery itself
The only real problem with these drones, as mentioned, is the camera lens, mount angle. As, the lens is mounted on a plastic, rotating, hemisphere, its upper limit is its position, relative to the upper, plastic, body housing. You can simply trim away some of that housing, just, "above", the lens, with an X-Acto™ knife, allowing a bit more rotation of the, "ball", that the lens is mounted into, thus, getting it almost level with the horizon, for a much improved forward view.
I knew better once their marketing video said it was made by two ex Navy Seals and therefor it was made with the best components available.... Once a Navy Seals, always a Navy Seal to "ex" to it.
I've had a couple drones and I have to say the quad air drone is probly the best one I've had! There fast handles well when you get the hand of it.dont let it get caught up in a tree it will strip the gears pretty much guarantee. But for a cheap drone it's just as good as any drone around 200$
I have mavic mini. It picks up 6.2 oz. I use it to fly bait out 400 yards or more and drop it . I love it sure beats throwing my Penn battle lll 8,000 on 12' rod all day long with 5 oz jig only 125 yards ... good camera also
I bought this to get some cool video shots of our band playing in the back yard. Six minutes is enough time for us to gwt some cool moving Live shots. I will send the footage we get and see if these two drones were worth the $99.00.

Thanks for the review. They are advertising these things heavily on RUclips now, saying it's a military drone that should cost thousands and that for a limited time they cost ~only~ $150+. 🙂Turns out it's an F89 "Chubory" (probably goes by dozens of names) that ranges from $40-60. Seems like a fun toy but the camera on it is fairly poor quality.
Can the camera be modified? such as removed and moved into a better position? possibly replaced it with a pzt cam? I was thinking of getting one of these little drones for our wild animal reserve. because it small and came complete as a kit. plus it was what was recommended by the wardens service . but heck if the camera is always pointing down that is not going to be much good for our use, because how we going to see in the duck nesting boxes or into woodpecker holes in trees if the darn thing is pointing down
This is a great review of a piece of junk. The only good thing I could find is that it handled pretty well. Real cheap otherwise. I got one by mistake and tried it. Junk. Fortunately I didn’t have to pay for it. Good job reviewing this drone.
just got a p12 and it is a real fun toy, very good to learn on and cheap on ebay for 50$ with the three battery. the p12 cam points ahead but my old phone does not like the app

I'm quite the newbie here, but it'd seem the app provides a toggle to use the forward facing or downward facing camera, no? At least that how it worked for me.
@@biketrippinwithbryan I think you were that's why it only showed straight down. I got same one few days ago for 10 bucks on temu and only showed down no matter where I pointed front camera until I hit the toggle button on app and now it shows whatever front camera sees.
I've seen these ads that hype up these clones of the eachine e58 but make out it is somekind of cheaper Mavic Mini type drone. I can understand why some uninformed people get taken in by the hype, especially the footage they show, which is clearly not from this drone, they show, smooth, gimbal stabilised footage etc and buyers think they're getting a genuine bargain but in fact some of them cost 3x what the eachine e58 goes for.😳 Good job Bryan informing some of these buyers. It is a good fun flyer for a cheaper drone but that's about it.😁👍😎
3-22-2022 there is a button on the app that looks like 2 cameras overlapping- that changes it to forward or bottom camera! Read the directions!!!

The latest one I saw was that it was a military drone that flies completely silently. It amazes me that they can get away with this.
There is a second camera on the bottom of the drone that always points down. That could be the reason it was aiming down.

Thanks for taking the trouble of making this video. I bought one of these about a month ago. First time I tried it it worked OK. Recently I tried to fly it again it flipped over on takeoff as one of the rear motors will not run. The other motors turn freely but the bad motor makes a grinding noise.
I have contacted the seller and they ask for a short video of the problem. I have not had time yet to shoot the video. I am curious to see the reaction of their after sales department, will it be the usual excuses or will they actually honour any warranty.
I will keep you all up to date on the out come.

It seems a shame to have to fork out for a motor after only the second flight. A matter of principle, I think. I will be making a video about this drone and the service on my own RUclips channel.

You can move the camera manually. It makes clicks when you do it so im not sure if it has a motor to auto move the camera or what.

I bought one of these for the Follow Me function I saw.on the add. After emailing them they reluctantly admitted this model has no Follow Me function.

I could almost forgive the downward facing camera because you said it actually flew pretty decently. But I can't excuse the freaking 6 MINUTE battery! That's insane! I've never owned a drone before and I was looking for a nice camera mounted drone to use. I thought this was it. 😔
I just got one of these (Black Bird 4K) and indeed the battery lasts 5-6 mins
@@Davidanesthesia52 That’s so sad. By the time you get the thing airborne, you gotta bring it down again to charge it. I’ve never used a drone before so I don’t know how long an acceptable battery charge should be, but that seems WAY too short for me.
So I'm guessing the app in only to take pictures? None of the controls on the phone screen work?

I can't even get mine to take off. Its connected to wi-fi, and I can see through the camera on the app. But it won't connect to the controller, all buttons do nothing. Does anyone know why this would be the case? My batteries are fully charged.

Usually they have TWO cameras, which you can change in flight, from the control software. I think you may have been using the 'belly' camera, not the forward one.

A friend bought me 2 for me and my sister and we love them the camera isn't good it lags a lot but flying one is fun I already got the hang of it and I will continue to practice till I get better to get a better one.

So I have a atlas drone and it doesn’t work I have batteries and I connected the battery it’s self to the drone , it’s a bit diff than yours , I hold the open button on the drone and it lights up but then when I try to fly it with the controller nothing works, I need help

I have a question I got one of these and the first time I had it out trying it out I crashed. And now the front right blades won't stop spinning unless I take the battery out. Any idea on how to fix.

Got two units for $99.00 for my grandson within five minutes the eight-year-old had the drone in the air and having fun. Don't believe every adult on RUclips.
True some people can’t figure out how to recharge the battery on the drone when the battery of the drone is what needs to be removed and plugged from battery itself

The only real problem with these drones, as mentioned, is the camera lens, mount angle. As, the lens is mounted on a plastic, rotating, hemisphere, its upper limit is its position, relative to the upper, plastic, body housing. You can simply trim away some of that housing, just, "above", the lens, with an X-Acto™ knife, allowing a bit more rotation of the, "ball", that the lens is mounted into, thus, getting it almost level with the horizon, for a much improved forward view.

You can adjust the "antennas" on the controller to use as a place to put your cell phone...
I've had a couple drones and I have to say the quad air drone is probly the best one I've had! There fast handles well when you get the hand of it.dont let it get caught up in a tree it will strip the gears pretty much guarantee. But for a cheap drone it's just as good as any drone around 200$

I have mavic mini. It picks up 6.2 oz. I use it to fly bait out 400 yards or more and drop it . I love it sure beats throwing my Penn battle lll 8,000 on 12' rod all day long with 5 oz jig only 125 yards ... good camera also

Thanks for the review. They are advertising these things heavily on RUclips now, saying it's a military drone that should cost thousands and that for a limited time they cost ~only~ $150+. 🙂Turns out it's an F89 "Chubory" (probably goes by dozens of names) that ranges from $40-60. Seems like a fun toy but the camera on it is fairly poor quality.
In Sweden it is now about two sacked engineers who did not like the ones fooling the customers. :-)

Can the camera be modified? such as removed and moved into a better position? possibly replaced it with a pzt cam? I was thinking of getting one of these little drones for our wild animal reserve. because it small and came complete as a kit. plus it was what was recommended by the wardens service . but heck if the camera is always pointing down that is not going to be much good for our use, because how we going to see in the duck nesting boxes or into woodpecker holes in trees if the darn thing is pointing down

This is a great review of a piece of junk. The only good thing I could find is that it handled pretty well. Real cheap otherwise. I got one by mistake and tried it. Junk. Fortunately I didn’t have to pay for it. Good job reviewing this drone.

just got a p12 and it is a real fun toy, very good to learn on and cheap on ebay for 50$ with the three battery.

I think you were that's why it only showed straight down. I got same one few days ago for 10 bucks on temu and only showed down no matter where I pointed front camera until I hit the toggle button on app and now it shows whatever front camera sees.

I've seen these ads that hype up these clones of the eachine e58 but make out it is somekind of cheaper Mavic Mini type drone. I can understand why some uninformed people get taken in by the hype, especially the footage they show, which is clearly not from this drone, they show, smooth, gimbal stabilised footage etc and buyers think they're getting a genuine bargain but in fact some of them cost 3x what the eachine e58 goes for.😳
