I'm really intrigued to see where this is headed. Steve Rogers was such a central figure in the Captain America series, so I'm curious to see how they'll navigate this storyline. Also, I'm interested to see how they'll handle the CGI for Red Hulk-it looks decent so far.

Shorthand on why Ross is President:
President Richson freaked out about the Skrull Invasion and had people killing each other in the streets, and he was voted out and Ross voted in because he's a known military leader.
President in Secret Invasion definitely pulled the dumbest move possible.
Wouldn't that place Cap 4 in 2029, the current MCU goes up to late 2027? Unless in the MCU snap elections or recalls were introduced during the blip.
Fury did say that it was a one term only kind of mistake

@@masterxr5726 Now that the Netflix series are officially canon it is hard to place the elected presidents anyway. According to the Luke Cage show both Obama and Trump have been president too, which is hard to line up with Ellis' presidency. I guess in the MCU it went Obama -> Ellis -> Trump -> Ritson -> Ross, with each serving a single term, but even then several things are not lining up timeline wise.

Canon wise, Thunderbolt Ross loses his mustache when he transforms into the Red Hulk.
There are versions of comics where he has a mustache as Red Hulk, but yeah it's a more comical look and Eric said it more as a joke.

i feel like after Omnimans' entry into the pop-culture zeitgeist, a mustached gruff and tuff Red Hulk could fly a little better...but I don't know the Red Hulk character at all though: if he's a rage monster like Banner- it could be goofy but if he keeps his mind somewhat the mustache seems like it could have an 1800s style boxer type toughness

The guy attacking Ross at the speech IS a Supersoldier. That was Isaiah, who was experimented on before Steve. He was in the TV series, as well. The theory is he might be being controlled like Bucky was.

My running theory is they could be going for a “Manchurian Candidate” angle with Isaiah and part of the movie has Sam and Torres probably trying to figure out who (either Ross or the Leader or Giancarlo Esposito’s character) wanted Isaiah to attack Ross for some kind of election sympathy push.
Sam’s new Captain America suit looks very cool, especially the wings

Trailer looks really good. Sam poking fun at Ross looking different, Isaish Bradley gettings triggered somehow and attacked Ross, Red Hulk, and finally TIAMAT will be addressed in this (looks like some of those last scenes from this, where that are flying, takes place there). All in all, excited for this

Theories that he {and maybe some other "Hulk-adjacent" people from previous movies} have been put out there. Since apparently there are restrictions on Disney doing a stand-alone Hulk movie, it does make sense to bring in more than just Red Hulk for this movie.

New Rockstars as they usually do did a fantastic breakdown of this trailer. my excitement for this movie went from a 5 before watching to an 8 after watching then a 10 after watching their breakdown.

Between so many reshoots, I expected that the movie would look worse, but to my surprise it looks interesting, the lighting and cinematography look good, the CGI could be better but there is still time, and the story looks serious and with many twists in the style of The Winter Soldier, and with many characters and elements from the MCU like in Civil War
I liked Sam's rise as Captain in his series, but now he must show the world what he is capable of as the new Captain America.
Professional editors for trailers earn their paychecks more oft than nought - they really know what to do because they’re trying to sell the movie not the story

I'm so excited for this movie, it really takes me back to the universally acclaimed neo-political action thriller that was Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and I can't wait to see Sam Wilson take on the leadership role that Steve Rogers took. Super excited for The Leader, Giancarlo Esposito, and Harrison Ford becoming the Red Hulk! I'm excited for this movie as well as Deadpool and Wolverine!
I like that they seem to be going back to the spy thriller vibe that Winter Soldier had.

Joaquin Torres is the new Falcon. I like that one of the things the series set up was him getting the old flight suit. They did a good thing doing the series before Sam's first movie as Cap. Set up a lot of background.
If Red Hulk is in this then Wilson NEEDS to be given the super soldier serum.
Might be WHY he gets "enhanced", if he does. Red Hulk out of control is kind of scary. For their world and our viewing!

Unless red hulk is just a cameo in this and doesn't actually fight with Sam.
He has a vibranium suit so that's a big leg up. If had some iron man level tech and weaponry, he would be well matched against the red hulk.

As much as I love him, them replacing 71 year-old William Hurt with 81 year-old Harrison Ford seems crazy, especially with the Red Hulk aspect.
That’s what I was wondering too. I remember seeing the set photos/videos of Mark Ruffalo wearing the suit stuff to mimic the Hulk and that looked heavy- I can’t imagine Harrison Ford doing that, so I’m wondering how they’re going to make the Red Hulk look good.

It looks like they're trying to do a "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" type film. It's been a while since I've been hyped up for MCU films but with Brave New World and the new Deadpool movie, the MCU slate of films have caught my interest again.
Maybe with the pandemic over the movies will be better.

Guys, Red Hulk /does not/ have a moustache. There's some bullshit reason for it I don't recall, but his moustache disappears when he transforms. They did that from the start because Red Hulk's identity was a mystery for the longest time.

Talking point for future video about this, When Sam and the other Falcon are flying over the ocean, the big rocks that they fly by looks a lot like the body of Tiamut in the Indian Ocean.

I’m really liking the Manchurian Candidate vibes this trailer is giving off, I hope they lean into that rather than just big CGI battles, the 70s conspiracy thriller aspect of Winter Soldier made it fantastic especially with the grounded hand-to-hand combat in that film

The news that Harrison Ford is gonna be Ross basically confirmed Red Hulk.
- If Ross never showed up again after William Hurt's passing, no one would bat an eye. The role of obstructive military man could be done by many other characters, or even OCs. Going so far as to recast a minor character like this to bring him back means that they want to do something with him that only makes sense for Ross specifically.
- The Leader is known for doing Gamma experiments. Having both him and Ross in the same movie has some pretty clear implications.
- Harrison Ford is well known for not wanting to do anything with big franchises. If Ross ends up as a CGI character, then they don't need to bring Ford back for future movies, since they could just get someone else to voice him. As such, Ford doesn't have to show up for more than one movie.
I really hope they don’t screw up the Leader. I think he’ll actually be the main villain. He’s been underground for over 15 years so he’s had to have been up to something.
To me, this is better than the Agatha trailer from the other day, and that Red Hulk part is mind blowing 🔥Can’t wait to see how it’ll play out next year 💯
