Yeah, I´m a huge #Bionicle fan and as so I always considered unfair that the saga never ended properly in the form of a movie. Yes, the #MataNuiSaga illustrated blog by Kelly McKiernan and Brian Ellis was a nice farewell, but I think that I speak for every member of the Bionicle community when I say that it wasn´t satisfying enough. So last last year I proposed myself to honor this last part of the Bionicle story transforming it into a #FanEdit Short Movie.
I used commercials and movies fragments from the saga and animated some of the pages from the original blog drawn by Ellis, the narration by Michael Dorn is also there as well as the fan recorded final lines for Tahu by Scott McNeil and some of the brilliant pieces from the original Bionicle trilogy OST by Nathan Furst to add a nostalgic vibe.
It was an amazing journey editing this personal version of Mata Nui Saga and I really hope that you all enjoy watching it at least half as much as I enjoyed making it. With nothing more to say I bring you all "BIONICLE: Mata Nui Saga (Great Spirit Edition)"

If you were someone like me at age 9 with high functioning autism, watching all of this unfold was the coolest thing I have ever witness. In my opinion, with what little life Bionicle had left, this was a very bitter sweet end to a beloved series.
Then I played MW2.
I feel dumb for asking, but.. what's MW2?

As someone who also has autism, being able to remember and experience all of this was a sign I had it
@@EmperorOfTheScrubs A third person with autism, and a massive Bionicle fan. The franchise did not get the conclusion it deserved (Lewa on Bota Magna, and the unexplained location that was the Red Star), but at least Lego was willing to give it a conclusion at all.

I didn't even notice that dialogue from Tahu at the end was done by Scott McNeil (his Mask Of Light actor) until the credits named him. The general audio quality was iffy, likely done with a webcam mic, so the cadence of his voice was hard to make out.
This is a recording of one interview with Scott. Fans asked him to voice a line, unfortunately, for so many years he forgot what Tahu's voice sounded like. That's why it sounds a little strange.
I really hope one day this story of Mata Nui will come to life in the big screen
As cool as that would be its not gonna happen.
This music fits this story much better than the original one

I'm still a little confused on how specifically Teridax was able to extract Mata Nui's consciousness, put it in the Ignika and then himself into the giant robot.

I am a bionicle fan since my childhood, The whole story, it is taken a place in my heart, and This Edit fan movie Was Great. It Was good to hear from some voice actor who’s Take part of The bionicle movies. And in The end credit song of This version of gravity hurts with The Hungarian orchestra as Well, and since i am a hungarian as long as I was born, so I apreseated This respect with the name of few remaining bionicle Hun fans. May bionicle and it’s memories live forever. In real life we need unity, we have duty, until we reach our destiny.
I am really disappointed that they don't make Bionicle movies anymore, and then the Bionicle series got cancelled between 2009-2010.
For this is the way… of the Bionicle!
The 4th Bionicle Movie has given me the inspiration for the revival of Transformers Prime, where the exact same events happen to Primus.
OMG This is so well made, I never heard of the full Mata Nui saga narration, only a slightly cut one and the edits you did were amazing, well done 👏👏

Ya know it’s kinda ridiculous that the one battle that we had always been building to for a whole series was relegated to an animatic that I’m pretty sure you could only find of the Lego Bionicle page. (Correct me if I’m wrong about that) like there was literally a movie based around Mata Nui, and I don’t even think Makuta was in it…

Wow! I remember that from the comic version, but I didn't know that It was confirmed that that was the official canon. I would have love to animate that page if I have known, although the voice narration would have made that hard to make sense...

I was a huge fan of the first six waves of Bionicle, but became disillusioned with how repetitive I felt the storytelling was becoming. It's wild to see where the story went in later years.

Boy does this brings back memories from early 2010. Going to the website to listen to this narrative story was a great way to understand how Mata Nui came to be, & how he give his life to restore Sparius Magma. Tahu was kind to finished the story for their God & Creator.❤️🔥💙🌊🖤🪨💚💨🤎🗿🤍❄️💛🔆
