Absolutely, I agree with what you have responded. I am sorry for not explaining well what I meant by 'God doesn't need'. I mean that He is all sufficient in Himself and able to accomplish all that He proposes to happend even the events that proceed to Christ second coming. It's true that God DOES requiere us, His chosen people, to be faithful and obey Him. This includes sharing the Gospel to all creatures both to the lost and to the redeemed. To the lost in hope for their salvation and to the ones that are already saved for their growth and development to be conformed in Christ image. I know that we all ought to be doing and be about our heavenly Father's bitting. What I mean here is that He does not need us in the sense that He is totally depended on us to do something for Him. He doesn’t need anybody nor depend on anyone. But He does require of us to be faithful and obedient to His Word. Not because He needs it but for our good and sanctification. Sorry for the long text. It didn't have to be so. For some reason I just felt like addressing it. Not for the sake of seeking a fight but to help one another to better see God as how He's revealed in Scripture. Though may this not be the cause of a fight or to be bitter against one another. Though I don't know who you are, you are still a dear brother in Christ. I desire the best for you in Christ. No sir. I worked a bit as an assistant on the Compassionate God CD a year or two ago in Arkansas for the recording and then in Tennessee for some of the mixing/editing work.
Thank you so much for your uploads! About a year ago I decided to learn myself how to play the guitar and I almost exclusively used your videos for that. The fact that I can now play all four parts within ten minutes showed me how much I have improved. But I will continue to watch the videos to sing, make music and praise the Lord.

THE STORY BEHIND THE HYMN; THE LILY OF THE VALLEY In 1881, Charles Fry was inspired by the imagery in the Song of Solomon. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Song of Solomon 2:1-4 After reading these words of scripture, Mr. Fry sat down and wrote about a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus. Those words became the hymn, The Lily of the Valley. The song was first published in the Dec. 29th, 1881 edition of The War Cry, the Salvation Army national magazine. Mr. Fry declared he had found a friend in Jesus. He compared the “Beloved” in Song of Solomon to Jesus as the lily of the valley. One commentary explains “Undoubtedly, this lily of the valley symbolizes the sweetness, purity, fruitfulness, humility, and healing qualities of Jesus Christ. Fry could see only in Jesus all he needed to be cleansed and be made fully whole. He declared that Jesus was his comfort in sorrow and in trouble because Jesus has told him to roll every care on Him for He cares. Jesus is indeed “the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.” lily of the valley So who was Charles Fry? He was born May 30, 1838 in Aldersbury, Wiltshire, England as William Charles Fry. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a bricklayer by trade. However he was a versatile musician, playing the violin, cello, piano, cornet, and harmonium, and leading an orchestra and band at the Wesleyan chapel in Alderbury. Mr. Fry did not like the abuse he saw heralded at the Salvation Army when they established a ministry in 1878 Salisbury, where the Fry family lived and worked. Mr. Fry and his three sons offered to serve as bodyguards for the Salvation Army workers. Salvation Army band The next day the four men arrived with their weapons. These weapons consisted of two cornets, a trombone and a small tuba. In between fighting off the troublemakers, the Fry men played. Their music attracted crowds for the preachers. This was the first Salvation Army Brass Band. Mr. Fry and his sons continued to work for the Salvation Army and it was during this time that he wrote the Lily of the Valley. Ira Sankey stated in his autobiography, “Mr. Fry is one of the leaders of the Salvation Army in London. In addition to writing the words, he also set the hymn to music, and later arranged it to slower time and published it in Gospel Hymns.” The tune was adapted from the song Little Old Log Cabin. Charles Fry died the year after writing his popular hymn on August 24, 1882 in Park Hall, Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

Haha... My goal is to do this as long as I'm physically and mentally able. There may be weeks or months when I can't record and edit videos due to other things going on in my life or career. Fry could see only in Jesus all he needed to be cleansed and be made fully whole. He declared that Jesus was his comfort in sorrow and in trouble because Jesus has told him to roll every care on Him for He cares. So who was Charles Fry?
He was born May 30, 1838 in Aldersbury, Wiltshire, England as William Charles Fry. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a bricklayer by trade. However he was a versatile musician, playing the violin, cello, piano, cornet, and harmonium, and leading an orchestra and band at the Wesleyan chapel in Alderbury.
Mr. Fry did not like the abuse he saw heralded at the Salvation Army when they established a ministry in 1878 Salisbury, where the Fry family lived and worked. Mr. Fry and his three sons offered to serve as bodyguards for the Salvation Army workers.
Salvation Army band The next day the four men arrived with their weapons. These weapons consisted of two cornets, a trombone and a small tuba. In between fighting off the troublemakers, the Fry men played. Their music attracted crowds for the preachers. This was the first Salvation Army Brass Band.
Mr. Fry and his sons continued to work for the Salvation Army and it was during this time that he wrote the Lily of the Valley.
Ira Sankey stated in his autobiography, “Mr. Fry is one of the leaders of the Salvation Army in London. In addition to writing the words, he also set the hymn to music, and later arranged it to slower time and published it in Gospel Hymns.”
The tune was adapted from the song Little Old Log Cabin.
Charles Fry died the year after writing his popular hymn on August 24, 1882 in Park Hall, Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

Haha... My goal is to do this as long as I'm physically and mentally able. There may be weeks or months when I can't record and edit videos due to other things going on in my life or career. But until my voice and eyesight can't take it anymore, this will be my hobby. So that gives me another 40 years or so worth of hymns. 😂

I played these a few hours ago x am returning to them . I wanted to learn the harmoniesx it wasnt written like this then. I have impaired vision x now i cant read it now! Also the comments were turned off a few hours ago. Why!
