They didn't let people respawn? Well that sucks. I'm sure those guys were more than thrilled to die from sheer dumb luck a minute in and then being forced to basically quit the game.
@@StalwartTirith it's the main point of their events, Karma's platoon, "KOG Platoon", receive only one life, meanwhile the OpFor can receive 3 respawns and up to unlimited. it's to balance out the technological edge that BluFor has, with nods, lasers, radios, fire support, artillery, Willie Pete, etc. the Vietcong, or in other events, Afghani insurgents, only have technicals and AKs, most times without optics, so they don't have much technology. their RPGs can certainly be a threat though, but once again, such is the brutality of war and just dumb luck if a random bullet has your name on it. Karma's community attempts to replicate the realistic nature of such operations by putting on these restrictions for each side.
@@OpRaven-62 Seems pretty excessive to me (but that's just personal preference), but all the same I really appreciate the detailed explanation. Might not be for me, but it's clear a _lot_ of time and effort went into planning it all out, and I can 100% respect that.
@@StalwartTirith i get that, for me it's perfect, and it adds a layer of challenging to everything, it's PvP. the enemy team have more people, but you have optics, sights, lasers, nods and radios, each side is powerful in it's own way, and it forces you to value your current life. plan your actions, it causes you to fear each bullet that flys, instead of Rambo guns a' blazing.

My grandpa flew with the airmobile 101st Airborne in 1968-69, Cobras, other helicopers. He got a bronze star and said he loved the fireworks his helicopter put out.

Agreed. What I really like are the cuts between different player viewpoints (especially the heli flyovers). Great editing.
Watching you go down and respawn makes me think of the movie Universal Soldier. Can you imagine how much that would suck, you get shot, you feel all the pain till you pass out and regenerate enough to get back in the fight. Sure you are not dying but it would suck none the less lol.

It would be cool to have AH-1 Cobra's for CAS, the VC were scared of the Cobra. Also in areas unlikely to be attacked can you place claymores there protecting it in case the enemy does the unlikely?
Do they have RTO's in this game? Your RTO should be glued to your hip for calling in firing missions. I would LOVE to see the inclusion of the Iowa class battleship mod, the New Jersey did make a deployment to Vietnam and most of the country was in range of her guns. It would be AWESOME to see 16 inch shells in the artillery support role.
They have RTOs but it’s kit dependent, if you get the right pack but wrong vest then it won’t work and vice versa.
Can you add more VC and can the AI control them in a more unit cohesive way? To attempt an attack like that they would need to outnumber you at least 3-1 at a minimum. Can you give them weapons like RPG's and light machine guns or even crew serve weapons to support the attack and give them some AA capability?

You need the operation prairie dog dlc and these are online coordinated battles usually ai vs player with a single player coordinating where the enemies attack from and when certain events happen

how come the sound effects are so bad
because they're using the Better Sound Effects mod which makes everything sound like movie level quality of gunshots. The base gunshots are alot better.

You can get audio mods that are a lot better than this. Even the default audio is better than whatever they are using. I’m assuming it’s performance related.

Yup. First controls, then mods, then servers and friends. There's some groups that make you do training. It's so much work to get into a game like that

It's really not, for stuff like this yes, but for casual play, you can just play with zero mods and still have fun

It's a great replay for those who already played/saw it. To someone dropping by, it's a very disjointed video and cine style does nothing to help the viewer. An introduction with a map talk and maybe a few map talks along the way would make things better.
