RGBIC can be cut as well. Just look make sure you choose that option because not all will. The WW’s are nice for under cabinet lighting to control the Kelvin temp of the lights from Warm white say 2700K to 6000K which is more of a bluish tint, 4000K is mid spectrum so that’s a true white or neutral white like you see in most offices and stores. The RGB are pretty basic to give some pop of color but when looking at the lights direct you’ll notice the overlapping colors to make up that color like yellow for instance will show the mix of colors looking at it direct, better off using them not direct if your going for solid colors. Govee is the way to go on brand as he mentions in this video, they have better overall LED technology.
this video just blowed my mind, is so different to other convencional led strips, I believe it's because of Govee, normally a RGBIC does not have true whites, you need to get RGBCCTIC for dedicated whites and has 6 pins, also RGBWW on all other fabricators means RGBWarmWhite (not iclude cold white) it should be RGBCCT (this one include warm white and cold white), Govee is creating his own world XD
Thank you for the great video! Very helpful. Now, three years on, there are even more choices. Love the govee product. Do not love their naming conventions. Just bought the govee strip light S. And the govee rgbic pro. And there’s a govee rgbicw. Had to do some digging to get it all sorted.
thanks, very helpful. it would have been great it you had turned them on and showed the different colors. Also, I wasnt able to have a good look at the products, they look too small/far away from the camera.
Thanks for the feedback. I planned on making a few more videos but there were some changes to the Govee program and I haven’t been given the right tools to do the job correctly anymore unfortunately
Great job, very helpful, I was confused on the difference between the ic and ww, keep up the great work 👍 (Edit) I meant I was now I’m not confused on the ic and ww, thanks
This video was informative. I learned a few things. I think if you plugged them in as you were talking to show the different effects (I think the RGBWIC have a much nicer look with the individually addressable lights and effects that are possible don't they?). I have ordered a set and haven't seen them live but the sales video I saw that showed the lights in action looked great. Whilst watching this I was thinking if you had the lights on and running to show us what they looked like when you were playing with the app then this would have been a ten out of ten for me. Many thanks for what I did learn though. I now know I can't cut it. Cheers.
Hello I wanna purchase a few govee light strips and use them in the ceiling, but the problem is i want to hide everything inside the ceiling including govee remotes. I'd like to control lights only from the app. Is this possible to completely hide remotes and don't use them at all? I'm wondering if my home is out of electricity for a while, will i be able to turn light strips on by not using remote or i will have to press buttons on remotes ,? Regards
HOOOOP...you actually just wasted TWO plugs, since you used one of them for the supply, right? Also, you could try and turn it the other way around. But, I get your point ;) Thanks for the video and clarification of the differences!!
Yeah. They’re up there still: Govee Smart RGBWW LED Strip Lights, Warm and Cool White, Works with Alexa & Google Assistant, App and Remote Control, Bright 216 LEDs, 9.8ft for TV, Cabinet, Desk www.amazon.com/dp/B08BLJ8PW7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5ZS6159K9CKFQKQCMVVX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Some people say you can cut them others say you can’t. You’re not supposed to due to the controller…You can however get them in varying lengths. They have protective coating over them so they dim the color a bit but overall the IC have the best options in my opinion.
Interesting enough I didn't see much of a difference. The WWs are shorter in length and don't (in my opinion) have the punch and functionality that the RGBICs offer.
What i feel is misleading on Goovee packing, they showing the LED strips with multiple colors on the string even when its just RGB led strips. Probably done to make the packaging look better, but it is kinda false advertisement
Some of the strips do have the IC capability and allow for multiple colors. However, a lot of people end up getting just the standard RGB and wonder why they can't do multi-color...
@@douzidoozy the IC lights have way more potential than just RGB. I’d go with IC strands every day not only for more granular control but also luminosity

Of course!
Let's give this guy a standing ovation. well done
Hard choice. I just bought pretty expensive diffusers. The rgb I’ve seen have higher leds per meter than the rgbic, so they’ll look better.

Are the ICs able to produce a pretty decent warm white? Would you be able to show a comparison between the warm whites between the ICs nd WWs?
Super high quality video production, nicely done! Thanks for the great info!

Cool, thanks!
ehm rotate the plug outwards and you can fit 2 on each end plug.... But yeah i get it
Th.e following link solved my Govee plug/power strip issue...

Can’t you plug the Govee plug into the opposite last plug on extension cord to free up the other two plugs……
great video keep up the good work!
Are the RGBWW strips still available for sale? I don't see them on Amazon, nor Govee website
Yeah. They’re up there still:
Govee Smart RGBWW LED Strip Lights, Warm and Cool White, Works with Alexa & Google Assistant, App and Remote Control, Bright 216 LEDs, 9.8ft for TV, Cabinet, Desk www.amazon.com/dp/B08BLJ8PW7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5ZS6159K9CKFQKQCMVVX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Still nowhere
Did you manage to find them?
Thank you so much really good content you deserve more subscribers
I thought the RGBWW could also be controlled separatly. I got FlowPro bars they are RGBIC and also have that same Kelvin slider
So UNDERRATED CHANNEL
Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I enjoy the tech and enjoy sharing my thoughts and feedback with everyone
Can the IC lights do anywhere as nice of the different white lights? And can they be cut to fit ?

is the white on the WW brighter than the white on the other two? Are there any other brightness differences you noticed?

Just try to get the camera closer to u and show the leds
A few people have asked and suggested this. I’ll see about that on the next videos. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks
Can the rgbic do warm white and cool white
Yes. The IC sets have a controller for each light allowing the luminescence to be changed as desired
@@dutchie911 Thanks for responding even though this is an older video. So the rgbic lights can do a similar/same color as just normal light bulbs?
@@douzidoozy the IC lights have way more potential than just RGB. I’d go with IC strands every day not only for more granular control but also luminosity
too much bla bla get to the point and SHOW the lights switched on...
well done!
Thank you for breaking it down for us.
