I feel like you answer so many things in these vids which have been getting me frustrated in the game - the more tips I learn helps me understand why I'm dieing and not worry so much about it.
A lot of people have a chronic issue where they blame a game for their lack of skill. Though it's a trap we all fall into sometimes. The only way to get better is to admit to yourself that your opponent was probably just was better than you, that you can learn from it, and do better next time. Sometimes characters are legitimately a bit OP - especially at the launch of a new game - but they can be balanced (i.e. McRee). So good job admitting this, and good luck for future matches!
I think this is one of your most useful videos! I like when you are not only talking about hard counters, but when you do argue about specific situations and what things you should be watching out for. I think THAT is the essence of Overwatch, please keep bringing different situations one might find and how to overcome them (or know that you should just run for your life!) Thank you for your videos!
Other than his great vids, I think that it's his ad-libing that makes his videos so popular and why his user base is growing so rapidly. I think people really enjoy his personality.
I am thinking the same, BUT, when you are at work it's like a little radio station, so I guess it works, but hero footage relevant to what is being said would be better you are right ^^
You focus too much on hard counters, soft counters are sometimes necessary based on the enemy team's COMBINED hero selection. For example to deal with a Pharah you may need to go D.Va instead of Soldier or Widow, because you also have to deal with a Tracer running rampant.
Yea, but he would be here for hours cos overwatch is just too complex to explain each team set-up. It's taken him over 20 mins to talk about the good and bad heroes in a fight against 6 of the 21 heroes...
Apex Konchu Hard to imagine that when he speaks as if Pharah has an advantage over D.Va - I purpousely hunt Pharahs with D.Va with 70~ish% success rate
The video is really interesting but I would've liked to have something to watch while listening to it. Like maybe for the rest you can use some footage of the hero you're talking about, not like showing the matchups one by one because that would be a ton of work but you know, just some gameplay of them.
I partially agree. If we're trying to listen to what he's explaining, watching an irrelevant clip definitely hinders your ability to visualize what he's talking about. I know going one by one and adding relevant video would be a chore, but it would also make them the best instructional counter videos on youtube. As they are, or with just general gameplay, they will only be second best, because someone else will surely do it right. But yeah, something to watch is definitely better than sitting on character select. That's almost unbearable.
Not trying to be weird or anything here, but this kind of comment makes me genuinely curious. Obviously, if he had footage that accurately illustrated every point he speaks about as demonstrations that'd be great, but if not, do you really just want random gameplay footage? I've never understood this mentality, same as the endless parade of social commentary videos with CS:GO just unrelatedly playing in the background. I'd love to understand it better, anyone wanna share their thoughts on why this is a thing? As I said I'm not trying to belittle anyone, I'm just really curious, as I don't care what's on screen since I listen to what he's saying more than anything but I know other people see it differently.
Absolutely helped. And I'm that you are not that type of people who keeps saying that a one hero can't deal with his/her counter. It's obviously based on skill and you know it. Keep on making these videos.
+Cam Ettery jesus christ, im just saying his name is jesse, he got it wrong and i was just trying to help by telling him the correct name. sorry if i triggered u, no need for the aggression.
You can actually find the real names to all the Overwatch hero's on the official website. Tracer's real name is Lena Oxton :D Edit: Except for Reaper and Soldier 76 for some reason O.o
Great video, I think you put it really well that the "counters" in this game are simply characters that may give you an edge against a particular enemy but skill really does factor heavily on how the engagements are going to go. Really good way to think about them.
From what I've seen, whether or not you can beat a Mccree entirely revolves (heh) around his Flashbang. As a tank main, when I'm trying to deal with Mccree in a team comp where I can't really switch off tank, I find that damage absorption abilities work pretty decently, with the exception of Reinhardt's shield; Mccree can work around that pretty easily, he can just walk through it and right click you into the ground, and he can hit the Flashbang over the shield. D.Va's defense matrix can eat the Flashbang before it can affect the fight, and Zarya's shields can also eat the Flashbang for you, or a valuable support Mccree is trying to bully. At this point he can still kill you by shift+right clicking, but beat the Flashbang and you'll have a better time with him than otherwise. I love seeing this kind of video, and am happy to see you keeping up the good work!
I love your content, Sty. It's always entertaining and informative. I have a suggestion, though. When you're describing hero abilities, can you try to name the ability rather than the button you press to activate it? I'm a PS4 player so when you're explaining hero strategy in button commands it's sometimes hard to follow. Cheers. :)
And I'm a PC players who uses a Razer Tartarus so all my keys are rebound to work with that. I really wish they were described as Primary, Secondary and Ultimate, but naming them would be good too.
+Unit Lost - Great British Gaming rather than say it, what about putting the button translations in the description and say they are there at the beginning?
What's amazing about McCree is that literally EVERY TIME I meet one on the battlefield, his flashbang is ALWAYS off cooldown. What are the odds? He could just have gotten done with a huge battle and I'll come in to clean up. Nope. Flashbang. I'm dead. I would keep McCree as is, but allow you to react in time and look away from his flashbang. I seem to get blinded despite turning around and having it CLEARLY go off behind me.
I don't find Mei a problem with tracer, you just flash back and keep shooting her ( or through her if she walls ) I have to get pretty unlucky or in a tight spot to die from a 1 on 1
probably a 60-40 matchup for tracer for the reasons mentioned above. however if mei can outlast the retrace and binks then she wil will probably win the fight.
Great video, keep them coming :) I had a few games yesterday where I listened to your advice and told my team what to pick in order to counter a triple Winston and a 6 man Solider, and it worked very effectively :D
I love that you are talking about counters, but for future videos you might want to keep this a bit simpler. You spent quite a lot of time here talking about the strengths of each hero, which is a) very circumstantial and b) a big part of your hero guides. What people probably want from a video on counters is to hear which hero to pick (and what to do with them) to counter an enemy player who's doing really well. So maybe instead of going "well Pharah's strong against basically all of them except for Widowmaker and Soldier unless she's on the ground" simply tell people "if there's a Pharah on the enemy team and she's doing well think about countering her with Widowmaker or Soldier". It might make this flow better and be easier to understand. Great idea though, keep it up!
I couldn't sit through the whole thing, but if it's as you described, then yeah he definitely needs to focus on why and how to counter whoever with whoever, and not just talk about what they're good at.
Well it's like he said, it's not as simple as "this character deletes that's character" some characters just have slight advantages over other characters but that doesn't mean more still can't get wrecked by a tracer lol
You could blatantly say that McCree counters Tracer but Tracer on the other hand can definitely take down a McCree. These are, in my opinion, important details that shouldn't ever be simplified.
TheDeralte yeah but that's something i'd put in a disclaimer... people will learn this anyway so a vid like this should just give basic information to newer players, and in my opinion it was a bit too rambley for that
Understanding what makes a hero good is far more important to countering heroes than counterpicking IMO. Any hero can eliminate any hero if they avoid situations that bring out the enemy's strengths and press situations that bring out their flaws. Matchup spreads are determined by who can most easily bring out these flaws
Soldier 76 is a counter to Genji when S76 is good. Played against a Genji who was zipping around, swift striking and hopping and being a nuisance, carrying his team, so I switched to 76. Saved my ult, when he'd come in i'd fire a shot or two at him to get his deflect used, and then ult to delete him while he jumps around wildly trying to escape my crosshairs. So satisfying, made him ragequit. :)
Great content, absolutely love it as always. I've started to get a fairly decent feel for who works well against who, on which maps etc, but hearing the insight of a more experienced player like Stylish is golden.
I would imagine they will reverse the buff they did to him somewhat recently, which made him recover from his flashbang faster, as previous tracer could hold down E and the moment she could use it, it would go off, and McCree typically could only land one shot which isn't enough to kill tracer. Roadhog also got this same buff.
I think pharrah is pretty weak against torbjorn. As pharrah your main strength is flying and it is a hard thing to do when you are being shot by a turret. Same goes for bastion
But Pharah can adapt to that. Stay on the ground and use cover efficiently. Your rockets WILL hit the turret, since its stationary. So a lot of damage is guaranteed and with it a quick turret disposal.
I play a lot of Phara, currently 37 hours worth. And it really depends on the map and position of the turret. If the turret has a long line of sight Pharah will destroy it easy. For Bastion it depends on the player, a decent Bastion can be a problem but if you can get the jump on them it only takes 3 rockets and bam dead. A better counter to Torbjorn is Soldier because he can heal through the turret.
SirGooglinMort Smith all depends on the positioning of the turret. Open turrets with a long line of sight will be a breeze to pick off. A turret in a corner with a small line of sight and the enemies around it will be the bane of your existence.
Very helpful, Stylosa. I'm constantly trying to figure out ways to get better, and the more knowledgable I am of all the heroes the better. More please!
Thank you sooo much for this! I reaally needed a video like this, because I havent grasped all of the advantages and disadvantages yet :> please continue this series!! This is exactly what I hoped for qvq
I'd like to see some more Gameplay in this series Unit. I enjoyed the commentary but found the video rough to follow without some gameplay to go alongside it. Even if it takes longer I feel like it makes for a better video more representative of your channel.
Between these, its all about skill and the way you play. Pharah can still move around and be a dick to mcree since she keeps her range from the left click and stun but if you are being sneaky as a mcree and pin her down bit by bit then she cant do anything about it.
Thx for coming out with this guide. The only thing I have to add is over on the console side of things it's much more difficult to snipe so Widowmaker isn't nearly as good against Pharah. So my friends and I have started running twin Torbjorns do deal with a good Pharah. Yes she can corner peak the turrets but the whole point is to keep her out of the air.
Please understand that I'm not trying to be mean when I say this: This specific video was very unhelpful. Your guides are usually pretty good and informative, but this one was all over the place. A large majority of it is unrelated tangents and you managed to contradict yourself on I suspect a lot more occasions than you might think. Basically, I'm left with the impression that every hero is strong against every other hero, except when they're weak against every other hero. That's more confusing than helpful. If you want to do more of these videos (and redo this one), I'd suggest sitting down and writing out either a script or at least a list of bullet points. Just try to prepare such that you're not struggling to think of tactics off the top of your head, especially for heroes you may not play as often. Also, try to come up with some more specific nomenclature. It would help to identify how a hero "wants" to be played, which will then tell you which other heroes prevent you from playing that way or outright kill you, as well as which other heroes will be unable to prevent you from playing that way or will outright get killed. Basically what I'm saying is plan your guide. Doing specific hero guides over footage of that hero works because you can refer to the footage directly. Talking over what may as well be stills of the heroes requires a lot more coordination to get the information across.
I was actually thinking the same thing. This video really is all over the place. I have enjoyed many of his other videos, but in this one, he would say something and then immediately make a counter-argument.
+Alex G THANK YOU.... yes he was all over the place but he never contradicted himself. he was just saying that any counter can be broken just through pure skill. this is something that people missed maybe just because he was talking a lot faster than usual. this was most likely just from him trying to keep the video from being like an hour long. so yeah, no contradictions just some fast talking!
pranay nair Plenty of contradictions, actually. He even noted so himself in the video. "Yeah, I just said that X is a counter to Y, but Y can also counter X." A video like this is unhelpful because it doesn't really teach me anything beyond the fact that every hero can beat every other hero but also lose to every other hero. Which I already knew. What this video boils down to is a hugely unstructured list of random example situations, many of them repeated several times and several retold with different winners. That's more confusing than helpful. Even if I were to accept that random anecdotes and were in some way helpful - and they can be in semi-rare situations - adding structure to them would help, such as sticking to just one hero at a time. I'm not entirely sure why you're arguing against making this guide better by putting a modicum of planning into it. Because the way the video reads is he sat in front of the mic with no clear idea of what he was going to talk about and just made it up as he went along. Without a video in the background to comment on, that style of guide is too chaotic to be truly helpful if you don't already know this stuff. No, there are no hard counters, but there are clear advantages. I'd personally prefer to discuss those advantages in a more structured form where I don't have to memorise the specific anecdotes presented. By and large, it's more useful to give people general rules of thumb than it is trying to replicate narrowly-specific situations.
Definitely a good video and method of explaining who each hero is strong/weak against. Although in some situations (i.e Genjii vs McCree) it is much harder for one hero to win (Genjii), as it depends on the ability of the other (McCree waiting to use flashbang) in order to emerge victorious.
definitely make the others. a bit of visual editing could be helpful to track your ideas, but still great content. a suggestion could be to simply add a list of text on screen when you name a hero's strangths/weaknesses. that little bit would go a along way to help drive your information (which is very good) home to the viewer.
awesome video would love to see more guides like this, my favorite counter i have found so far is zarya as a counter to mei because she can save herself and others from the freeze.
On the pharah points, you can actually use a winston as he can launch at a steep angle up for a few seconds and damage her severely. It doesn't necessarily counter, but it can be done. A junkrat's concussion mine, if aimed right, can also one shot her (head shots can be done with the explosion); however, that is far more difficult as you have to toss it as she does a sweeping pass. This can also push her against a wall, or toward the ground to possibly give you a position to hit her if in air.
in the matches i've played, it seems that as soon as pharah touches the ground, she becomes a primary target. so i'd add that with pharah you should try to land a bit back from the front line.
28 of your last 30 videos are Overwatch, with the only exceptions being a 2 minute "This is Doom" highlight video, and a 100K subscriber thank you. I'm not counting higher, but I'm sure that trend continues. I miss all the other stuff you and Kiri would do, and I'm SO tired of the Overwatch inundation on all fronts, so I must lower your viewer base by 1. I guess I understand, if Overwatch is what gets the views and the subscribers then great! I genuinely do wish you guys success, you were always so much better than your subscriber count let on. I'll check back in after the summer, when hopefully there's something other than Overwatch going on.
LOVED the video mate!! Please continue this series and cover Defense, Tank, and Support.......well maybe you don't really need to do support but I love support Hero's so it would still be cool to see. Keep up the great work.
Maybe for future references you can call counters that are good against each other: FLIP COUNTERS. That way people will understand that while a certain hero may be a good counter when dealing with a another hero, those hero's situations can be flipped and that same hero could also be used to counter them as well.
D.Va CAN deal with Pharah if she needs to. It's not ideal, but you can jet-boost into her face, fire 2-3 rounds point blank, then rinse and repeat because of her low cooldown on her boost. I've done it several times successfully because most Pharahs never see it coming. Pharah players tend to assume when they're high up that they're the only ones that can get up there.
Just a suggestion for the future parts of these videos, it would be pretty awesome if you could do a little editing and maybe highlight the heroes you are talking about, by showing their picture/circling it or something, and then just before you finish talking about the hero put all the heroes you talked about in summary. Seeing the heroes while you are talking about them helps people make the mental connection better! Good work as always
I'm really trying my hardest to figure out the counters so that I can "git gud" but there's so many of them. I used to think each character only had 2 direct counters
It would help a lot, if you could edit the Hero icons into the Vid. Leftside for good matchups, right side for bad ones. It just makes it more visual(like a ProCon List)
i really like this video as it helps the general overwatch community and you mentioned somethings that I didn't realize or think about before. My personal additions and I apologize if I messed these but: Phara is weak to roadhog as on some maps it is impossible to get out of his hook range and you need to direct hit most of your rockets to kill him without reloading. There is also genji and even though he has a projectile weapon his attack is quick enough to hit one or two reliably. Plus as with most people he can reflect her ult to kill her I believe. And then I personally would say that she is strong against McCree at a certain distance because it only take one direct rocket and one ground blast to kill him where as it take 3 shots to kill her. Reaper is strong against widow as long as you can sneak up on her which with teleport and wraith can be easy sometimes. Also he can dance around bastion and hit his core and if it gets messy wraith form out. Of course the bastion isn't a hard counter though. Bastion if he hits enough can kill reaper if wraith is down or he attempts to use it too late. Soldier I feel is strong against McCree for the same reason phara is where he can engage McCree from further away and he also has his sustain and helix. Other than that I really enjoy this video and would love more.
Just want to add that if hooked by a roadhog if you quickly use tracers rewind it can free you, he's not hard to deal with at mid range if you time your blinks right
Awesome video, been waiting for something like this. I've seen all the infographics and such with who is strong against who and who is weak against who, but none of them give any context on how or why they're strong or weak.
I would add that, for current McCree, Zarya works well as a counter, as he would have to land 2 headshots and a body during the stun to kill Zarya, and if she gets her barrier up he'll plug damage into those more often than not. Same applies if she can project a stun target, either wasting the stun or the followup. A torbjorn or well positioned bastion playing keep away are hard to deal with as McCree. Junkrat and McCree are a bit of an apples/oranges situation. McCree has no response if he's stuck in a spam zone other than retreating or advancing into traps. Junkrat loses if he's caught in a fair fight, and would need to reserve his conc mine to jump away the moment McCree rounds a corner. Good stuff, nice video. I'd love a similar one for what heroes are best and worst against killing any particular support.
Junkrat in my opinion is the hardest counter for tracer, he can just shut her down. He can just throw his mine on the ground and when she runs into it, it's pretty much an insta-kill. His trap stopes her in her tracks, and his guns grenades stay on the ground, and have a delayed effect so while tracer is zippin around they just blow up under her. Personally few of the counters you stated for her I had ever had a problem with (except mcree) I've never been killed by a 76, roadhog or mei cause I just make it to where I'm simply to fast for them to touch, and I use rewind to essentially heal myself. Junkrat, pharrah, Torbjiorn, hanzo, and widow maker I think are the only ones who have ever killed me as tracer
Fun tip; you can finish off Pharah as Winston if you need to. If you Jump Pack to her, you get enough airtime with your Tesla Cannon to knock off a good third of her health.
On Pharah Vs. D.Va, just a point: A D.Va can shut down your ultimate with Defense Matrix, and I have on occasion intercepted Pharahs in the sky using the boost ability on the mech. So I think it's a bit more even.
the bit on the back of bastion is NOT his head, it's that little cube thing in his chest when you're in recon mode. the blue bit is just another crit point for balance. however, you should be able to headshot him (his actual head) from above if you aim just behind his minigun.
I like that you explain how Reaper can use Wraith Form to avoid McCree's Flash Bang but can you add more examples of ability uses when you are talking about heroes? I know you haven't gotten to him yet but when you were talking about Junk Rat you made it seem like he had no escape options where he has his mine to knock McCree and himself back. So if you could add more ability uses and give people more insight on how to play the characters that would be great. Love your videos man, keep up the good work. :D
Thank You so much for making this video...I have been waiting for someone to make one of these videos please keep doing these for all the heros...I rage so much because I dont know who counters who and stuff...Thank You again..I am new subscriber and already excited to be subscribed
Don't know if someone else has mentioned it, but I find that Lùcio can be super strong against Reaper, depending a lot on skill level, obviously - knocking him out of his brutal close range or backpedal with speed song active, while firing away, can take a lot of the sting out of him
With McCree, I don't think using the FB and a fan the hammer is op, but add in the instant roll reload and repeat is a bit much. So I'd recommend taking the reload off the roll, and lower the cooldown on the roll to like 3 seconds. This would mitigate a 12 round tank melt while preserving McCree's base combo of emptying his six shooter into someone who is stunned, and give him some much needed mobility which he lacks. My 2 cents.
If your already taking off the reload on roll, I think you might be doing a bit to much adding a cool down as well. Take away the reload and see how the community reacts and how viable he is then. Then see if you need to add cool down.
Yes, these are VERY helpful. I only play overwatch with friends so i dont really figure the "counters" out myself. and it feels better when there are ways to counter some classes/setups instead of getting the whole "I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!" feeling :P So i vote for more vids!
"Soldier, he kinda doesn't want people on top of him" "Think about it, you jump onto a solder, you unload into him, he's gonna find it hard" xD

Interesting video, definetly agree with the power level of Mcree. Just today it's been announced that hes being looked at by Blizzard!
Yes it's good new that blizz are looking at working on him. They're also looking at D.Va too!
+Unit Lost - Great British Gaming Why D.VA? Buff or nerf?
ive actualy never had trouble with mcree. even as tracer.
because she is bad or good?

hi sty, i feel even a random gameplay running in the background would be better(if hero specific footage is too much work) :P
IMO.
But tons of useful info, thankyou :D
Yeah came here to say this. Lots of great info but I think the quality would be greatly increased with gameplay of each character he's explaining.
while the information is really useful, he also could probably condense it into

You can actually find the real names to all the Overwatch hero's on the official website.

"a full load unto his back" sorry I'm so immature haha
Haha we all thought it xD
Plenty of fan-art of that I'm sure..~
I don't see how you're immature tbh :D
I love when Zenyatta gets his load off on Tracer.
Want to Party Up with Me? : ) my name is BOOGABOW
Yeah I'll do that from now on, I'm just a PC gamer so I can't help shouting out what buttons I press!
+Unit Lost - Great British Gaming once I was Junkat and jumped off a roof, thew a bomb and killed a Pharha
+Unit Lost - Great British Gaming rather than say it, what about putting the button translations in the description and say they are there at the beginning?
Great guide! It's not just good for the counters and such but just general good tips on how to play some heroes and their limitations.
I seriously don't know whats with your commentary. Its so much different than everyone else and unique. Keep up the great videos!
winston vs genji is probably the hardest counter in the game
close second is widowmaker vs zenyatta
what else is up there?
winston vs symmetra
mccree vs reaper
mcree vs any class that is not widowmaker.
a smart mccree that is
simpi a mcree with a working mouse 2 button that is
Great Video Man! Very Informative, Professional, Quick, Interesting, Enjoyable and very Concise, Great Commentary, Great Voice! Subbed! :D
I would like to add that Mei is probably a hard counter to Tracer since Mei can slow her down or block her movement with an ice wall.
I don't find Mei a problem with tracer, you just flash back and keep shooting her ( or through her if she walls ) I have to get pretty unlucky or in a tight spot to die from a 1 on 1
Tracer will blink away before you can really slow her any.
probably a 60-40 matchup for tracer for the reasons mentioned above. however if mei can outlast the retrace and binks then she wil will probably win the fight.
I was going to say the opposite. She can blink outside of mei's left click range and still do her max DPS
I can just feel your happiness and thrill just talking about this game. Feelsgoodman
"I've got you in my sights"
deflect
You beat one genji with Soldier once... BEST COUNTER EVER!
Funni Skele
I believe you missed the part where I said "I make him burn his deflect first" :)
drano511
It's been more than one time, that was just a good example. :)
with genji it's generally just skill. you've gotta fake him out, so all heroes can technically counter him... with the exception of reinhardt.
Great content, absolutely love it as always. I've started to get a fairly decent feel for who works well against who, on which maps etc, but hearing the insight of a more experienced player like Stylish is golden.
McCree will be nerfed as stated from a recent developer post on the forums. Just saying as you mentioned that he is very powerful.
The only way I see them nerfing him is reduced range, they cannot make his flash bang any shorter or it's completely useless.
To be honest, a very short range would be better so that way he actually has to be right in your face to use it.
I believe they mentioned that first thing they are looking is to nerf fan the hammer, possible adding small cd on it
I would imagine they will reverse the buff they did to him somewhat recently, which made him recover from his flashbang faster, as previous tracer could hold down E and the moment she could use it, it would go off, and McCree typically could only land one shot which isn't enough to kill tracer. Roadhog also got this same buff.
+archiev1976 cd?
Well, I'm early. Always love seeing a new Overwatch video from you Sty! Keep it up!
I think my favorite part is
''Winston, he's a giant gorilla, he will kill you.'' Like it's clear as day. :D
Once you get used to pharah torbs turrets are a breeze to take out.
Perhaps some gameplay to go along with commentary? Though informative, I was awfully bored.
You kids and your fucking ADHD, I swear.
Thank you sooo much for this! I reaally needed a video like this, because I havent grasped all of the advantages and disadvantages yet :> please continue this series!! This is exactly what I hoped for qvq
"Pharah is an easy target" HAVE YOU FOUGHT A PHARAH
I'd like to see some more Gameplay in this series Unit. I enjoyed the commentary but found the video rough to follow without some gameplay to go alongside it. Even if it takes longer I feel like it makes for a better video more representative of your channel.
McCree nerf incoming in June patch.
Keep making the videos, Sty. Your videos have always been helpful, and they initially got me into Overwatch.
Parah is good against mcree
other way around, mcree snipes pharah in seconds (if decent)
Between these, its all about skill and the way you play. Pharah can still move around and be a dick to mcree since she keeps her range from the left click and stun but if you are being sneaky as a mcree and pin her down bit by bit then she cant do anything about it.
Just 2-3 quick heads hots at long range
THE WORLD NEEDS THIS VIDEO!
And still instead of learning how to play people are picking random sentences and laughing at them for no reason...
+Alex G THANK YOU.... yes he was all over the place but he never contradicted himself. he was just saying that any counter can be broken just through pure skill. this is something that people missed maybe just because he was talking a lot faster than usual. this was most likely just from him trying to keep the video from being like an hour long. so yeah, no contradictions just some fast talking!
pranay nair
Plenty of contradictions, actually.
Road hog recks Pharrah. He grabs her out of the sky and kills her quick.
Only If the roadhog lands the hook
Don't change a thing. Perfect video, can't wait for the next three!
I've dreamt about something like this! Almost as much as i have about the return of Pubcast ^_^
definitely make the others. a bit of visual editing could be helpful to track your ideas, but still great content. a suggestion could be to simply add a list of text on screen when you name a hero's strangths/weaknesses. that little bit would go a along way to help drive your information (which is very good) home to the viewer.
awesome video would love to see more guides like this, my favorite counter i have found so far is zarya as a counter to mei because she can save herself and others from the freeze.
Thx for helping me slowly getting better at overwatch with your videos.
Good video Styles, really enjoyed it! Keep 'em coming, confirmed my suspicions about some heroes, gave me new insights about others. ^^
Finally! The video I've been waiting for!
Finally a video that explain the best way to counter!! I haven't played or own the game but the knowledge will help me when I do get it.
Really like this video. At times I have found myself how to counter a problematic enemy hero, since my usual counters aren't working out.
These Overwatch overviews have made me less of a noob. Thanks Sty. :D
Same here mate love this channel
Great video knew some of these from playing but learned a lot, excited for the rest of the series.
THANK YOU this is really what i needed, THANKS for putting time into making this video, im looking forward to the next one!!
The gameplay in the background was so in depth
Thank you so much for this vid... i always get super mad with certain heroes and i don't know who to switch to
Please make more and keep doing great
I always learn so much from your videos. Keep it up, because these are awesome!
Great vid! Easily my favorite Overwatch RUclipsrs! Thanks for the content!
This is what we've all been waiting for
thanks!
Great video, loved the info. This helped me a lot, can't wait for the others!
Thanks for this series. Definitely what I was looking for :)
Awesome video pal. The more this gets out the less people make fail teams :P its always positive learning a little.
Love the information in these videos :D the video you made on tracer a while back helped me like crazy :D
Awesome video and it's definitely worth your time to make the other three!
I'm really trying my hardest to figure out the counters so that I can "git gud" but there's so many of them. I used to think each character only had 2 direct counters
@Unit Lost - Great Briitsh Gaming : It is "Jesse" McCree. There is a spray where his full name is listed as "WANTED"
It would help a lot, if you could edit the Hero icons into the Vid. Leftside for good matchups, right side for bad ones. It just makes it more visual(like a ProCon List)
i really like this video as it helps the general overwatch community and you mentioned somethings that I didn't realize or think about before. My personal additions and I apologize if I messed these but:
Phara is weak to roadhog as on some maps it is impossible to get out of his hook range and you need to direct hit most of your rockets to kill him without reloading.
Really good video, may I suggest a sort of bullet point summary in the description? Tracer: Weak against: Strong against: etc. Could be helpful :)
Fun tip; you can finish off Pharah as Winston if you need to. If you Jump Pack to her, you get enough airtime with your Tesla Cannon to knock off a good third of her health.
And if you can take into consideration the maps that you play on, I think it's a big factor in that regard
love it man, keep it up i wanna see the others
Definitely do more of these, they're awesome!
Yep, really enjoyed it. Thanks for the help. Still learning the who counters who best!
On Pharah Vs. D.Va, just a point: A D.Va can shut down your ultimate with Defense Matrix, and I have on occasion intercepted Pharahs in the sky using the boost ability on the mech. So I think it's a bit more even.
I did not know about McCree's roll reload. I will be using roll 100% more now. Thanks!
the bit on the back of bastion is NOT his head, it's that little cube thing in his chest when you're in recon mode.
the blue bit is just another crit point for balance.
however, you should be able to headshot him (his actual head) from above if you aim just behind his minigun.
Just yesterday I requested a video like this on your Pharah video. Awesome. Subbed. :)
Thank You so much for making this video...I have been waiting for someone to make one of these videos please keep doing these for all the heros...I rage so much because I dont know who counters who and stuff...Thank You again..I am new subscriber and already excited to be subscribed
What I've been doing as genji when facing torb is reflecting his turret shots into torb then moving in on the turret. Usually works like a charm
liked the vid before it even started. bcuz its 23 mins of pure stylosa goodness.
Keep these going - they are super helpful
Can't wait for more of these, great job
I only play overwatch with friends so i dont really figure the "counters" out myself.
and it feels better when there are ways to counter some classes/setups instead of getting the whole "I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!" feeling :P
So i vote for more vids!
