overwatch curious ive got a great tip for you and anyone that is reading the comments (or watching a future video) I myself am a masters player and this tip is really helpful for anyone that wants to improve their aim. So everyone by now has heard about Ana bots in custom games. But have you heard about Zarya bots? just do the same thing but with zarya the good thing about this is that she has a bigger head hit box and dose not move once in a tracer blink's distance of you. So this tip is for people who want to improve their aim but can't just yet hit Ana bots head on.
also put cooldowns to 200% its like nothing sure they do it but once every 20 secconds and you kill them befour they do it if you put health to 25% and damage to 200%
Something pops up at the end when they were zariah I cannot pinpoint what it was as it was a fraction of a second..... It looked like a screenshot??? Anyone
It was his a tab manager. Just shows what windows are open on his computer, it is at 9:51 Set the speed of the video to .25 and do a couple really quick pauses and you will be able to stop on it! Nothing too interesting was open though >:D
One of the cooler map tricks that I (accidentally) discovered is on Hanamura. You can launch your Nuke (D.Va ulti) over the small wall just before the room (that has the big health pack in it) onto the point. This works better when you are on defense, you have flanked behind point A without being noticed (or survived when your team got wiped), and the enemy team is capping the point, because they will be looking towards point B and won't expect a nuke from behind. That's probably the only spot that I've gotten my best team wipes and POTGs.
one of my favorite competitive strategies for Hanamura on defense is a Mei, Reinhardt, D.va trio. Rinehardt keeps his shield up until it breaks. Mei comes in with an ice wall when his shield breaks, d.va comes in with her matrix for the last second or two until the shield is charged, rinse and repeat, it'll pissy any opposing team off and you will have a solid defense as long as you have someone you take care of divers and flankers!
I'm close to diamond but every time I win with a good team, like a really good team, then they don't accept me and then I end up with a bad team, then go on a losing streak, I'm stuck on 2700
The one I didn't see that I love to use on kings row is on attack as soldier after you out the door then to the building to the right go upstairs then to the balcony after you drop off (assuming you haven't died from the almost inevitable roadhog hook) go all the way up the stairs then as you spring get as close to the other building as possible and jump this trick is amazing it allows you to get behind the enemy and pick off there supports quick and they never see it coming (well if everyone knows my trick then I guess they will see it coming) It also forces there dps players attention away from the choke making an easy push for the rest of the team. I hope to see this trick in the next vid I feel there are a lot of people who would find it very useful.
so about that hanamura tracer blinking from the roof to the large gate; you can actually do it in just two blinks, however you need to wait about a second before blinking after jumping off the corner of the roof. It's always good to have at least one blink on standby if you can so you can either move in for a kill or retreat easier.
Deep Sea Diver Yeah, it's pretty easy actually. You can even get on the head of the Statue with 5 or 6 jumps. He can access every sniper spot in the game. You just need good positioning and practice with wall riding
That spot on Hanamura is something I use in every game of defence. Hanzo or Junkrat up there really messes with the attacking team. Makes it harder to hide behind the truck since you have a direct line of sight to it. And if anyone sneaks past you can usually get a pretty easy headshot when they predictably head for the heal pack. around back of the building.
Thank you for taking the time to make these vids. I tend to play support characters mostly, so knowing where flankers and high ground defenders can get to is great. Much appreciated.
Also, on Hanamura you can use mei to get any hero(s) up on that first point. Not sure if that's already worn out but when i played competitive when the game first launched it was always good.
+Overwatch Curious I'm a gold ranked Tracer main and you missed a very good flank on kings row. First go to the farthest right attacker door in the attacker spawn and the second you get out, use 2 blinks to get onto the bus and a 3rd to get on the second floor of the right building. From there you can blink to the far buildings through that opening in the wall. Never seen it used. Nice video :) I found everything in it really helpful. Keep it up!!!
These types of videos are useful to me since my friend and I just began comp with Season 10. It'll be nice to know what to look for when keeping an eye out for sneaky enemies. I expect Widow and Genji/Hanzo in weird spots, but a Soldier or Tracer? This video is great for helping to broaden my knowledge and perspective. I'd love to see a video on good Buildable spots, like where to put Torb Turrets, set up Bastion for chokes, and Symmetra turrets/Portals. I don't play these characters, but knowing what to expect from clever opponents could do a world of good in countering them.
Black Knight - GAMING ok actually i found that the timing on Zarya and soldier differ: for Zarya it is better to shoot then jump, but soldier seems to be jump and shoot with really little delay between (i play soldier much less than Zarya so I can be wrong). this really comes with practice tho
There is an eichenwalde flank on the first point if you are attacking. Genji, dva, and pharah can use it. And it will put you on the other side of the bidge behind the capture point. Its a really tricky flank to do with Genji but it can be done and I use it sometimes. There is another flank on attack of eichenwalde and is just flying, or swift striking over it. And you will be right in front of the point
if you play reaper on hanamura you can shadow step to that ledge above the first point from the side opening on the left. it's really useful for dealing with snipers and getting behind unnoticed to take out supports and overall just giving you team a favorable opportunity to push.
Most of this spots are realy useless and can give enemy team easy pick on you more often, than advantage to you. But some are still great, mainly for Zarya.
This is the most useful ow guide I've seen so far. Positioning one of most important thing for me. Thank you for video. Hope to see same video for ana just to know which positions and highs grounds to choose.
Im grandmaster and dont know any of these tricks and i only main torb solo queue..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................said no one ever
Im in masters, and I've seen an offensive torb. If they know what to do, offensive torbs matched with protective tanks can be one of the hardest team comps to beat.
As soldier 76 on gibraltar on defense if you go up to the top floor of the room where the ship is at where the first checkpoint door is and sprint outside on the right you can jump along the right wall and land on top of the building that has the archway under it. Ive personally found that one and idk if you guys know about it or if its particularly useful but i thought it was mentionable.
On the first point in Hanamura I can manage to get up onto the railing that circles around the pagoda as Mei by standing on that little bench (in the same area you showed S76 rocket jumping) as a way to elevate the ice wall a little higher up :D I've also helped put Torbjorn's up there using this same method. The cherry blossom tree that obscures that corner makes a great place for him to put a turret, no one even looks there half the time they just run around trying to find it... If you have Mei's ultimate ready, you can just drop it in through the window and take the entire team by surprise with the additional benefit of having a spot to head-shot them from.
I am not a gm but I know what works, if you had the right situation these could work but most of the time they wont, since most gm teams I have seen dont use most of these, cept the good flanks with Zarya. Most rely on their aim/skill and I appreciate that.
On Hanamura there if you're on offense there is a red vent to the top left of the stone bridge. Walk under the bridge, turn to your left a little bit and look up and you'll see the vent thing. Widowmaker can grapple up and stand on it for a different vantage point to snipe onto point A from.
Can't say these are grandmaster map hacks but I love the small dive hole in kings row ( dva, mercy ( if timed) and pharah). And the hanamura gap with mei's ice wall ( even better when you get your team to follow.
One hiding spot that I always found to be a piss off was only accessible to Mei's (as far as I know), was on the elimination map where inside your teams base, if a Mei created an ice wall under herself or anyone else on her team it gave you an extremely unfair advantage point outside of the actual game's map. No one could see you, they can't hit you no matter what, but you can hit them. In the same map, you can do the same in the base and hide in a room where there is a window you can shoot through, but bullets or other attacks can't come through to you. It's a huge piss off to fight someone camping out in there because you're basically hopeless.
As a zarya main in master, i knew about eveey single one of these spots except the one on hanamura. I actually knew about them pretty early on too, however dont let that discourage you, i think you still made a great informative vid, its just a lot of the people who are at a high enough level to be effective enough to use those spots properly probably already know about the spots anyways.
To get through the choke on the first point of hanamura, go into the room above the little restaurant. Mei can use her ice wall as a bridge for her team to go right over the choke.
On Watchpoint, Reaper can teleport up where you guys were having Sobra go. It's a very effective way to get behind the entire enemy team and to ult behind their defenses. I've had a few beautiful potg's that way
Love the tricks, I have been using them for months since i like to skirmish on maps and have found a few by accident. Also I've pulled off the Anubis Torb trick you showed off on attack before. The enemy was very confused by how quickly a level 3 turret won my team the game
I always make use of mei's wall ability, to help boost a healer or range hero up to that front rooftop on Hanamura. It helps a ton and saves a soldiers time possibly to get up there.
There is a map trick everyone knows but is very useful in volskaya. For attack stay at the left side and you can cross this gap with some characters and go for an ulti or avoid symmetra turrets at the gate.
Do you know where Ryot got his UI? I LOVE that he can see the stats of his team and his opponents right there at the top of his screen, but cannot seem to find a link to anywhere online for how to achieve it. This is so helpful - thanks for making this video! I look forward to seeing more in the series!
On Hanamura, most defending teams choke at the gate. If you are a good enough Tracer, you can blink around through that gate opening to get on the point. They will eventually notice but you gain an advantage for your team.
There is a map hack on Hanamura I use as Genji and Widow, and I'm only bronze (just saying) is near the attacker's spawn, on the ledge right in front of the Murloc thing, so as Genji going out the front of the attackers door, you go on to the ledge. There is a little spot up at the top left if you do that. Also, not the right of the murloc (attackers main door), the left of it. It's more useful on defense, and you can get some good headshots in and confuse the enemy team before you're found from kill cams.
Drink Bleach Kids Sounds like an exploit, you can get banned for that if they report you, I had something like that on the latin map (never remember the name), with widow you could basically stay on a roof outside the map, with viewing on the ennemy spawn and payload, you could grab 5-10 kills, because they couldnt kill you if they didnt take another widow.
Map Hack: On Temple of Anubis you can jump up to the defenders high ground at the first choke by jumping on the spice bags at the base and then jumping on the stalls scaffolding. It's accessible by everyone. It's useful if you drop off on defense as it saves a lot of time as you don't need to run around up the stairs.
I use this trick myself so if you somehow fail the easiest trick ever don't say it's not true, you might have misread. On the last map ( I think it's Hanamura or something like that ) if you start in the dojo area, go to the main room, take the door on the right and go out it, you can easily blink across a small gap as tracer.
There is a really good spot as bastion on Route 66. You can hide behind the railing under the overhead bridge get full view of payload and have the bottom half of you covered. With a healer I have been able to prevent a team from pushing at all because they can't even hide behind the payload sense you can shoot under it.
@ 4:00 you can can jump that gap as soldier without the rocket jump. all you need to do is sprint jump through that hole in the wall. that would also allow a Zarya to get up there.
Its not really a map hack but one worth mentioning with heroes that do explosive damage, you have a small window of free damage you can do on a diva exiting her mech. If timing correctly you can score a free hit on her an probaly make sure she doesn't get away or shoot you with her pew pew blaster. Can be used with Zarya right click, pharah rocket, 76's helix, bastion's tank shell, mei's icicle or even Reinhardt's fire strike.
there's that spot on kings row next to point b where you can go underneath the map and then pop back up with a rocket jump, mercy dash, or well-timed concussion mine either landing you on the point or behind the enemy team
eichenwalde has lots of roof tops you can actually stand on if you can land on a corner or by the window (because you automatically slip off, you need something to catch your fall)
I would love to see more videos about team comps/hero synergy and team communications/strategies that grand masters use. I feel like lower ranks have real problems with these aspects.
8:20 You can get there with any character, but you have to be so precise that just doing it once is achievement worthy. I did it as Bastion once (not in Tank mode)
Kings row last check point. Pharah can fly beneath the room on the right side of attack that has a health pack in it. Then she can boost herself up and use ult behind the enemy.
On Hanamura the quickest way to get from defence to the point is to go right from spawn and make the jump from wooden platform down. Saw it on *maybe* Taimou's stream? Just wanted to put something that may be slightly more useful. Great video!
With Tracer on kings row you can get into the bus from the right spawn tunnel and flank around the right from there, you can do it backwards as well. This is how I always start with Tracee
Wow, there's a spot I know about that wasn't showcased. As soldier (Maybe Zarya) on the final point of King's Row, there's a little upper window right after the attacking team caps the second point, and you can rocket jump up there.
As lucio on hanamura point A in the building to the right of the choke point (for attackers) you can go up to the top level and wall ride above the stairs to get over the wall that is near the cliff with the wooden bridge across from it (sorry that was as clear as I could make the explaination)
great content and clear voice. more positioning and situation awareness videos please. I personally have a hard time keeping up with the action feed. I only use the skulls to know if I could be helpful.
I once used that hanamura spot (the one on the roof by the first point) as bastion, I used my ult rocket jump to get up there. Its really useful with bastion because his dps is so high, and ppl dont expect it
Did anyone else get triggered when he was torbjorn and hit his turret 3 times than left it?
lol me my ocd drives me insane
CAL Mansell haha lol
CAL Mansell Yep
CAL Mansell no only when he said that we probably didn't use that spot
completely
Please try and make this a series
agreed, this is great stuff

The video is pretty nice and useful, but that title......yuck.
kaakeli laatotus Whats wrong with the title?
DaladendDarrowmere "Map tricks Grandmasters ABUSE" is quite the overstatement.
I agree, the video is really well made and all but it's kind of sad that he buzzfeeds like that
Lesu Welp, it got mine as well as another 1.1 million other guys attetion lol.
Definitely trying out that Anubis turret placement!
Greensky02 have you tried it? Can you get up there?
RYOT is in my gaming club at school so its really cool to see someone I know in a video like this 😊
Something pops up at the end when they were zariah I cannot pinpoint what it was as it was a fraction of a second..... It looked like a screenshot??? Anyone

is the whole "THAT GRANDMASTERS ABUSE" thing gonna become a meme?
I'm early so I better say something, 99% of people will ignore this but for the 1% who do have a merry Christmas and a happy new year
Peter Zhang thank you 👍
Peter Zhang you too, so excited ^_^
Peter Zhang don't like this comment, top comments are meant to be funny comments

really great. getting vertical takes a lot of experimentation.

how do you helix jump? i still havnt figured it out
roddy register Pretty sure you shoot and the jump quickly after or the other way around
roddy register jump and helix
yes, ive seen bazzagazza do it lotsa times, but i thought there was something with sprint. thank you
roddy register lol bazza is like the worst rocket jumper ive seen for a soldier main haha
he's the only one iv ever seen do it so...
8:25 is the best sniping place in Hanamura. Just stay there as Widowmaker and shoot through the hole. No one can see you as well.
I will forever be a gold. No matter how hard I try grandmaster will always be a dream.
Alex 10 play in a winning group and stick with them
Peter Kim I mean don't play solo games all the time
I'm close to diamond but every time I win with a good team, like a really good team, then they don't accept me and then I end up with a bad team, then go on a losing streak, I'm stuck on 2700

Reaper: You underestimate the map hacks
"It's over reaper I have the-"
*While Soldier is referencing a movie, reaper shadow steps.*
In King's Row if your Hanzo or Genji you can climb the omnic statue and go on his shoulder.
Deep Sea Diver if you're hanzo or genji you can basically go anywhere around the world
NoNamedPB I agree
Deep Sea Diver
Also as Lucio
Hartz V Betatester
Really??
Deep Sea Diver
Yeah, it's pretty easy actually.
You can even get on the head of the Statue with 5 or 6 jumps.
He can access every sniper spot in the game. You just need good positioning and practice with wall riding

And then there's me, waiting for bastion to get a movement ability
Alpha25 can u rocket jump with ult? xd
Jan Gärtner yeah but I'm not exactly genji, maybe give bastion a helicopter configuration? XD
Alpha25 beautiful
You're main Bastion? You little piece of shit
Thank you for taking the time to make these vids. I tend to play support characters mostly, so knowing where flankers and high ground defenders can get to is great. Much appreciated.
All I see are spots I can use to protect the Mercy from dying.
EnterTheKyuubi If you protect a Mercy the mercy becomes your pocket healer. I should know, I'm a mercy main after all.
Great Video man these Tips will help me alot for (ult-)Positioning, i'd love to see more of this
3 ad breaks in a 10 min video as well as a pre video ad, come one youtube....
They hate you. I got only one.
adblocker boi
Also, on Hanamura you can use mei to get any hero(s) up on that first point. Not sure if that's already worn out but when i played competitive when the game first launched it was always good.
a lil misleading sounding title but definitely still very valuable and handy. Some of these could be very useful.

4:13 FEW HUNDRED HOURS ON ZARYA?! Are you kidding me?
Esquivo what? i have 300 hours zen
oh my god! how much do you play per day?
At 0:13 you can sprint jump across the broken bridge, but you have to be touching the wall at all times. Try it out and like if it worked!
Here is the million dollar question, when I rocket jump, should I jump then shoot or shoot then jump, or should I do do both simultaneously?
Black Knight - GAMING jump then shoot fast
You shoot right after your jump. Almost at the same time.
Just test it in Practice Range. :)
Shoot and jump works better. Trust me. you want to:
1. Missile
2. Jump immediately
3. Raise your crosshair
4. Sprint
Black Knight - GAMING ok actually i found that the timing on Zarya and soldier differ: for Zarya it is better to shoot then jump, but soldier seems to be jump and shoot with really little delay between (i play soldier much less than Zarya so I can be wrong). this really comes with practice tho

Андрей Дрейк zarya? range deficient, random grenade shooting zarya? really?
It all seems extremely situational. Good to know just in case I guess
well i guess thats why they are grandmasters.
Андрей Дрейк some of the temple of anumbis vantage points are really good for soldier
the ones for zarya are the worst one basically she doesn't really need highground lmao
This is the most useful ow guide I've seen so far. Positioning one of most important thing for me. Thank you for video. Hope to see same video for ana just to know which positions and highs grounds to choose.
RUclips clickbait tricks that MEDIOCRE RUclipsRS use and you DON'T!!😳😳
A super clickbaity title, but it's actually incredibly well produced.
1:54 This spot is amazing for Junkrat,it's a little bit hard to get into the window but it destroys anyone that goes to that spot.
Im grandmaster and dont know any of these tricks and i only main torb solo queue..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................said no one ever
Gohan Boi torbs actually good though :(
Ben Carson true, especially on the first point of escort the cart. Cloud 9 and NRG were using him...

im grandmaster and I dont use these :P
No wonder. These are nice spots but using them is most of the time just not a pay off.
Most of the shit you see on these youtubers channels wont help you do anything considering the youtubers are bad themselves
I am not a gm but I know what works, if you had the right situation these could work but most of the time they wont, since most gm teams I have seen dont use most of these, cept the good flanks with Zarya.

Really like the Strausberg St. Denis at the end. Great info and great music.
I recently used that pillar on the second point of Anubis with symmetra, worked insanely well, in quickplay at the very least.
Props on the outtro music selection :) Also nice vid!
Ive been using the spots from the last video succesfully, awesome stuff!

I've had a few beautiful potg's that way
Would love to see more map hacks for Dva, Phara, Winston. Where they can get around a choke or find vantage that one might not expect
Love the tricks, I have been using them for months since i like to skirmish on maps and have found a few by accident. Also I've pulled off the Anubis Torb trick you showed off on attack before. The enemy was very confused by how quickly a level 3 turret won my team the game
Excellent choice for the outro music! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Strasbourg ST. Denis. One off my all time favorite jazz songs. :DD
Great video man! You deserve more subs!
As a widowmaker, in dorado, at the first checkpoint, there is the house/ church thing. You can grapple to the windows, and snipe from there.
I honestly expected clickbait but I actually learned some pretty useful stuff. Thanks man
This was fantastic! Lots of great info; thank you.
there's that spot on kings row next to point b where you can go underneath the map and then pop back up with a rocket jump, mercy dash, or well-timed concussion mine either landing you on the point or behind the enemy team
Man, I always would use my bastion ult to get up to that spot on gibralter!! Had no idea that was a thing haha
This video is so dope. Nice work! I shared it with my Overwatch bros. We have some practice to do now
eichenwalde has lots of roof tops you can actually stand on if you can land on a corner or by the window (because you automatically slip off, you need something to catch your fall)
I would love to see more videos about team comps/hero synergy and team communications/strategies that grand masters use. I feel like lower ranks have real problems with these aspects.
always good to get unique tips to prove game play within all scopes. thanks.
8:20 You can get there with any character, but you have to be so precise that just doing it once is achievement worthy.
I did it as Bastion once (not in Tank mode)
Kings row last check point. Pharah can fly beneath the room on the right side of attack that has a health pack in it. Then she can boost herself up and use ult behind the enemy.
great video and you should do more tips and tricks videos they helped a lot :D
Such a great video! You just gained a new sub! Keep it up!
Overwhatch Curios you are one of my favorite RUclipsr and keep up the good work man
On Hanamura the quickest way to get from defence to the point is to go right from spawn and make the jump from wooden platform down. Saw it on *maybe* Taimou's stream? Just wanted to put something that may be slightly more useful. Great video!
With Tracer on kings row you can get into the bus from the right spawn tunnel and flank around the right from there, you can do it backwards as well. This is how I always start with Tracee
Rhino1400 teach me pls
Read the title... He was trying to show the less obvious ones.
Clickbait title
Wow, there's a spot I know about that wasn't showcased. As soldier (Maybe Zarya) on the final point of King's Row, there's a little upper window right after the attacking team caps the second point, and you can rocket jump up there.
The last clip Zaria spot is an amazing place to put a symetra out if you put it around the corner
Maybe you could make some neat places to go as Lucio? Like the Shrine in Nepal's pole at the control point or just cool places to go in general.
On hanamura: most characters can cross the gap from point a to point b, but I have done it specifically with Reinhardt
I once used that hanamura spot (the one on the roof by the first point) as bastion, I used my ult rocket jump to get up there. Its really useful with bastion because his dps is so high, and ppl dont expect it
I have been using some of these locations, so it's cool to know that professionals use them too.
