I’ve been working my way through the British library crime classics and it’s been an adventure 😂 the writing isn’t always great but love love love the characterisation in all of them so far and the plots are always completely original.
How am I just now finding this channel?!? I’ve read all of these but one and except for The Paris Apartment I really enjoyed them too. I feel like I’ve been under a BookTube rock but I’m glad to be here now.
I'm not normally a mystery reader but I have devoured the first two good girls guide to murder books this week on audio and am gagging for the 3rd the audio production is incredible- glad that you constantly.talking about the series has finally made me read them
Loved this list. Thanks, some new books for my TBR! Love the Osman series, and loved Simone St. James' Sundown Motel so looking forward to her other books. Wasn't a huge fan of the Paris Apartment, but to each their own. Glad you liked it.
Cool list! Thanks for sharing. I think there are a lot of books out there that most people don't know about that should get a lot more exposure. A friend gave me When Dying Is Not a Problem, and I liked it quite a bit, but very few people know about it.
Not sure if you've read these - but I recommend the Nell Ward series by Sarah Yarwood-Lovett (A Murder of Crows and A Cast of Falcons) and the 3rd one is coming out at the end of this month! The first book especially reminded me of the Thursday Murder Club series.
I loved The Twyford Code so much and I'm always so disappointed when people say they didn't like it. So I'm glad to hear you liked it! It was the BEST twist I've read in a while. I gave it 5 stars because it genuinely surprised me.
As a long time Christie fan, my murder weapon of choice is poison 🤢 Love it when you cover murder mysteries ☺️ I'm definitely putting Tyword Code and Lady Hardcastle to my to buy list. Have you heard of the Royal Spyness series? Seems like it gives Lady Hardcastle vibes ☺️ oooh, also, the Professor Galileo series (one of my recent obsession ☺️)
Get yourself a copy of “Trial and Error” by Anthony Berkeley!! It’s about a bloke who is trying to prove he murdered someone but no one believes him. I LOVED it!! 6/5 stars. Also, the epilogue left me totally floored with the biggest twist ever
I loved The Paris Apartment, it was very well written. For the life of me I cannot get into The Thursday Murder Club cry 😢😮 I know please don’t hate me. I am currently reading The Drift by CJ Tudor and if you don’t have it I very very highly recommend reading it. It told in 3 person perspective, im 64 pages from the end and it still hasn’t tied up the strings yet so super excited for the last portion of the book. I will say its a Thriller/Horror cause there is some gore in it, but according to the back flap, all of CJ Tudor’s books are being made/considered for TV shows, so would be a great idea for a vlog. X
Ha, I was so bored and disappointed by Bable too, and thought I was alone! I suggest with TTMC to try the audible books. I find them fun and enjoyable on dog walks!
Such a fun video :) I have started reading the thursday murder club series and i finished in a week and a half... I loved that it was so funny but also the mystery was well done. Does anyone know any similar books with a lot of britisch humour haha?
Can u recommend a RUclips channel dedicated to just murder mysteries, crime and detective genres? I need good recommendations, any other genre doesn't keep me interested to finish a book. Ty in advance
I am an abosolute fan of death in the nile , murder on the orient express ,good girls guide to mirder and so on .. but idk why I can't really pull myself to finish Thursday murder club .. I think I am the only one ... But can't even pull myself to reah more than 50 pages ...
There is a book in which you solve the case of a murder with the character.... like all the clues....... which was to realistic.....the clue where sor eal i just forgot the name
in these types of vids. everything has been brought up from agggtm to Agatha christie. but no one ever brings up the death note novels like ctw and the Los Angeles Beyond Birthday Murder cases. good part is you don't have to watch the anime first. Labb is really good so far.
Watching you from America. For the Lord’s sake..will you please hold the books up and KEEP THEM STILL!!!! We are trying to get the titles and it’s like following popcorn in a pan.
I cannot believe you used the F word. I have no patience for anyone who uses this vulgar word. So low class. Definitely will not subscribe, or ever tune into your channel again. Trailer Park.
Vulgarity isn't for me either, and I'm going elsewhere as well, but I wouldn't be too quick to judge her. This may just be her attempt to appeal to a youthful audience.
mystery is my favourite genre🤭a good mm book just hits different, especially on a rainy night home alone
I’ve been working my way through the British library crime classics and it’s been an adventure 😂 the writing isn’t always great but love love love the characterisation in all of them so far and the plots are always completely original.
Omg I’ve been dying to read a good murder mystery, so this list is perfect!!! 😍

Wrong Place, Wrong Time was an annoying read😮😮
Wrong Place Wrong Time was a boring read. Had enough after 60 pages!
How am I just now finding this channel?!? I’ve read all of these but one and except for The Paris Apartment I really enjoyed them too. I feel like I’ve been under a BookTube rock but I’m glad to be here now.

Six Stories by Matt Wesolowski is a fantastic murder mystery with mixed media! The audiobook is full cast, too. 📚- my weapon of choice 😂
I’ve bought this recently as an e book as it was on sale on the kindle store
The Twyford code is so clever!!! 👏
Loved this list. Thanks, some new books for my TBR! Love the Osman series, and loved Simone St. James' Sundown Motel so looking forward to her other books. Wasn't a huge fan of the Paris Apartment, but to each their own. Glad you liked it.

A Quiet Life in the Country sounds EXACTLY like what I’ve been looking for! And I just saw it’s on kindle unlimited! So excited to start reading!
I think you would enjoy Death in Heels by Kitty Murphy which is the first book in the Dublin Drag mysteries. I loved it
loved this video! really appreciate that you talked about books you don't hear much about!
Cool list! Thanks for sharing.
I think there are a lot of books out there that most people don't know about that should get a lot more exposure. A friend gave me When Dying Is Not a Problem, and I liked it quite a bit, but very few people know about it.

If you like The Twyford Code I recommend The Appeal by the same author! I think it was done a little more skillfully and was more fun
Not sure if you've read these - but I recommend the Nell Ward series by Sarah Yarwood-Lovett (A Murder of Crows and A Cast of Falcons) and the 3rd one is coming out at the end of this month! The first book especially reminded me of the Thursday Murder Club series.
The burning girls- cj Tudor and The whisper man by Alex North.😊
I loved The Twyford Code so much and I'm always so disappointed when people say they didn't like it. So I'm glad to hear you liked it! It was the BEST twist I've read in a while. I gave it 5 stars because it genuinely surprised me.
I picked up the First Lady Hardcastle based on your recommendation previously. I absolutely love it so far & love the audiobook narrator

It's OK not to like a series everyone else seems to love. I dnf'ed Babel 80% through. No one disowned me as a friend. Read what you like. Lynn
Ha, I was so bored and disappointed by Bable too, and thought I was alone! I suggest with TTMC to try the audible books. I find them fun and enjoyable on dog walks!
Lord Edgware Dies is also a very interesting book. I personally liked it better than Peril…

Great list!! I’m adding to my TBR!
I just finished true crime story it was so good! I really need to pick up wrong place wrong time! 💕
Fun mystery reads, Martha Grimes… DI Richard Jury, he is quite youthful in his earlier stories, they’re just fun.
I wish I could find a reviewer who didn’t always tell me there is a twist. That’s info I want to discover on my own.
The newest Janice hallett- the mysterious case of the Alperton angels is amazing! I highly recommend you pick it up I think it’s her best one yet 😊
I’m actually reading it right now hehehe👀👀👀
