2Raw Helion 10" "no stabilisation"

  • This is a raw complete flight with a new 5200mAh Dogcom 120c 6S.
This flight time is realistic if you fly at this pace (80-100km/h) and my resting voltage was 3.85v once landed.
    My Thoughts:
The Helion is a very solid rtf quad and i say this because of how well it is tuned out of the box. They really put some time into the tune and i am very satisfied. Big quads can be a bit of a nightmare with rersonance.
I won't go into detail as this is not a review.
I uploaded this purely to showcase what you can expect in terms of flight performance and how clean the footage is.
I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase. feel free to hit me with any questions in the comments.

I am personally very interested in this quad and was looking forward to your flight and feedback.
The Helion is as stable as its form.
Of course it is only because of your skill, but that stable image without image stabilization in strong wind from the sea is amazing.

Perfect, thank you so much for this! All other videos I've found used stabilization, it's so helpful to see one without. As you mentioned, very large drones like this ones are prone to vibration indeed. The user "Vizma" on here used braces between the front and back arms. He says this completely eliminated vibrations on his build.

    Great flight!
I remember that their newer Chimera 7":s actually had worse flightime than the older ones becouse of the larger 2808 motors. Iflight responded with that its made to carry larger and heavier lipo/lions. Mayby the 10" helion will also thrive in flightime with something like a 10000mah LION that is too heavy for an 7" and still be controllable? I think that could be true.

    • @clifford_wakeman
      @clifford_wakeman  8 месяцев назад +1

      These are good points mate.
Long range flying is a very subjective thing and larger quads have a “sweet spot” with rpm/resonance.
Personally, I’ve done plenty of long range over the years and endurance flights don’t excite me unless there is something special on the journey.
If i was to keep this thing under 60km/h I’m sure flight time would be up around 15 minutes. In fact, i might even try, just to know. ✌🏽

If you watch on a big screen you will see a few minor vibes occasionally. Mostly turbulence though.
10” drones suffer from resonance and even a well tuned drone like this one will occasionally get a few bumps at certain rpm. If you fly this thing in the “sweet spot” it will pull very clean footage.
