    UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.
    Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. The best way to go forward is to study the blogs and tips given by previous year toppers about how to go about UPSC CSE for all three stages of UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and the Personality test also known as the UPSC Interview, and then make your UPSC preparation strategy accordingly.
    Doing static subjects like polity, economy, environment, geography and history for your UPSC preparation is a solid bet to increase your chances of clearing this exam. But this must all be supplemented by current affairs for best effect.

    20-30 years is a huge period. Find your inner dharma and choose according to that. Don't go for artificial list of IAS IFS IPS IRS. Find your interest, find yourself. Otherwise you will also end up in resigning just after 15 like others. Learn from Ex-IPS Rajan , Acharya Prashant (Ex civil services). Don't go after fame, power blah blah.

    For IPS, it doesn't take 6,7 years become S.P. After probation period, with 1 or 2 years officers are promoted to SP.

      If you want a job that offers you salary good enough to lead a upper middle class lifestyle, great work life balance, amazing work culture, no public dealing, no political interference and almost negligible corruption, then RBI is the best choice for you.

      In IPS we have to run 16 km is it possible?? What if not able to run ??They will get terminated or they will be providing next preference service

      @happy_bulls7457 6 месяцев назад

      @@shaikmastanshareef4711 brother, please read RR manual, they give enough time for running. You will receive 1-5 or 1-10 marks based on the time you finished your running. If you fail there is a retest. Or they give you 0 marks. I suppose it is fine because you should achieve some XX marks in a group test where you have will be tested on 4-5 physical tests categories that includes running
