They're from Sweden =) And they're brilliant !
I think this album and their last one are their most beautiful. They wrote so much beautiful songs as Paralyzed, Saturated Soul, or Lighthouse for example. And when they do accoustic versions (which are on RUclips, they have videoclips too), they really improve the beauty in the melodies and in the lyrics, especially with Eddie's wonderful voice. This band is just pure talent.
You should check the accoustic versions too, I think you'll be surprised =)

One of my personal favorites by this band is Saturated Soul. I also recommend Lighthouse, Infectious, and Paralyzed.
That violin really gave it that " something extra/different " . My dad tried to get me to learn how to play violin but I was simply not interested ... hey, btw : Blind Channel will be in your city, San Antonio in March !

You talk about them not being 1 dimensional and being multi-faceted. When you do Paralyzed you should also do the acoustic version as well. Both have music videos.
Fun fact, the tuning isn’t “higher” to match the violin, it’s actually one of the lowest, being Drop A. Standard turning is EADGBe,, now drop it 3-4 whole steps. Most heavy guitar songs I know and play are in drop C, this song is another 2 down. Wow

As others have mentioned they are from Sweden but the video was filmed in Ukraina (you can see that Soviet Union's old stuff in the video - that place is a bit scary🙄)
