  • This is a step by step guide on how to how to setup all the connection on your 2019 backup sensor system. This tutorial applies to you if your installing a rear sensors system or front and rear system.
These installation steps apply to all sensor systems from 2010-2019
We will go over the included display and speakers and the different ways to set it up.
Though this is guide for a wired parking system, If you purchased a wireless version the installation is very similar you just wouldn't need to thread the speaker/display cable from the brain to the dash of your vehicle.
    The basic process is:
    1. Place the brain in a convenient spot in your trunk (put it somewhere convenient so that its easy to thread the cables to it)
    2. Drill the holes for your bumper, pop in the sensors and thread the wires and plug in to the brain.
    3. Place the sensor display or speaker in the desired location of your dash (leave a little slack so that you can adjust it if needed) and thread it to the trunk (if you purchased a wireless sensor system just plug the display/speaker to power)
    4. Plug in the power harness to the brain and connect it to a constant power source (Red to 12V +, BLACK ground -)
    5. Hook up the yellow trigger wire to the reverse light and white trigger break lights and your finished.
Note: If you purchased to 4 sensor system but received an sensor brain, the video still applies.

It is good to note that the first 4 sockets (closest to the wires) are for the rear sensors, while the rest for the front.

Why can't you connect the red power wire directly to the reverse light bulb wiring? Power and trigger in one connection

So the front's are activated by hitting the brakes. Problem is, every time I hit the brakes I get a beep as the system activates and then another beep 10 seconds later. Is there a way to silence that nuisance beep every time I hit the brakes?

No, they do not, what most people do is distribute them evenly across the bumper.
