    That double pike scares me! it's always so low, she BARELY get's it around. I hope she can improve on that in the future so we don't get a repeat of what happened in London

    I'm crying lol If only she was an all around gymnast... you know because Komova is missing T-T
    I like the changes in her choreography except before the last pass. The self hug was more dramatic.

    • @dexmor6742
      @dexmor6742 9 лет назад

      Kitty sha She can't be an AA gymnast at the moment, because she's missing UB and BB. Even if she does it, she won't contend for a medal anyway because her UB is her weakest and inconsistent. Her BB is good depending on the day.

    • @kittysha5003
      @kittysha5003 9 лет назад

      De Yu I said "if only." I know her state on both UB and BB. UB being her weakness and BB is inconsistent. The last time I think she hit on BB was 2012 qualifications.
      Don't take things so seriously next time lol

      Her beam is actually quite consistent since 2012 and her bars set is decent at times almost always a low 14 score....but even then the biggest AA score I see her getting is about a 57,5

      Kitty sha I'm just making a point. Lol. I'm not taking things seriously. Haha.

    With Simone getting 16.0+ on floor internationally(and yes I know it was "scam" cup and Jesolo, but still) she is practically battling for 2nd or 3rd. But with Skinner, and Raisman back, she's going to have some tough competition. Not to mention Larisa, Erika, Vanessa, etc. Even though I'm happy that she's back to full D-score, she has to improve execution, and not depend on her artistry.

    • @kittysha5003
      @kittysha5003 9 лет назад

      Marc Myron Wait, how did Simone got a 16.0? How much is her D score now?

    • @dexmor6742
      @dexmor6742 9 лет назад

      Kitty sha Simone's D score is 6.8. She's upgrading her tumbles to Moors (I) and DLO as a dismount. That should be 7.3 SV, if I'm correct.

      USA is strong and powerful!! But awful chereography!!

    • @kittysha5003
      @kittysha5003 9 лет назад +2

      De Yu Then her E score was over score in those competitions. Even with the 7.3 she will be around the high 15. I don't think she will be getting a 16.0 at worlds but then again is not like she will need it. She can win with just that.

      irenelivy check out 2014 Emily Gaskins, Jordan Chiles, Laney Madsen, Maile O'Keefe ,Deanne Soza, Marissa Oakley,Megan Skaggs. Lauren Herenandez, Ragan Smith, Kyla Ross, and Aly Raisman showed brand new choreography at the Jesolo competion. Kyla Ross performed better in practice though.(please look these girls up on youtube).

    With this routine and Ksenia's amanar she is in for Rio if she stays healthy

    Nice and pretty good! But the judge didn't give her too much scores!!

  • @kareharpies
    @kareharpies 9 лет назад

    She performed the same way at Nat's. Only this time judges took off the correct deductions. At least Simone's outrageous scoring came from two intl events, one an FIG meet, so i think it's reasonable to assume that with or without upgrades she'll defend her title come World's.

    I think the floor title is going to be between Afana Steingruber or Fasana. Personally I would like Steingruber to win but I wouldn't mind if Afanasyeva wins!

    Btw the judges must be judging pretty harshly to start off the year. Maybe it was the low double pike or the double turn? not really sure. Regardless, nice routine

    • @011cra
      @011cra 9 лет назад

      cj1319 the low double pike and the low landing on the triple! She stuck the triple, but it was very low landing and i'm sure the judges took about 3-5 tenths for that one alone

  • @qwertyu1234587
    @qwertyu1234587 9 лет назад

    nice routine, but she seemed tired. she winded at the corner for the last tumbling pass. She walks in to the sprint for the tumble and just had quite enough to get the double pike around.

    anyone can explain me why the low score?

    • @011cra
      @011cra 9 лет назад

      ***** Probably the low landing on the Triple twist. Her chest looked completely down which was probably a 3-5tenth deduction alone. Also, the double L turn also had noticeable deductions. If she upgrades to her 6.4 however, she will win

    • @maussolo
      @maussolo 9 лет назад

      ***** the landing after the pike is very bad plus the steps, she missed the L turn and maybe the judges are taking deductions for standing long in the corner.

    • @011cra
      @011cra 9 лет назад

      Mausolo M Yea, I agree. The judges hammered her in the E score. She has pretty clean form overall but yea, the errors in this specific routine are noticeable

  • @maussolo
    @maussolo 9 лет назад

    Oh she missed the L turn, but very solid routine

  • @dexmor6742
    @dexmor6742 9 лет назад +1

    This routine is NO WAY going to challenge for gold or silver. With Biles upgrading her tumbles to Moors and DLO as a dismount for a WHOPPING 7.3 SV, and Raisman's 6.6 SV potential, Afanasyeva is playing for bronze. But she has other competition from Iordache, Mustafina, Ferrari.

    • @liukin95
      @liukin95 9 лет назад +1

      De Yu At Russian Nationals her SV was a 6.4 - here it was only a 6.1 as she was lacking a little bit in the dance connections. But if she hits her connections and adds a full twist to her third pass it would bring her SV up to a 6.6 which would match Raisman.

    • @dexmor6742
      @dexmor6742 9 лет назад

      liukin95 That's a lot of if's. Her dance elements are the least of her problems, right now, but the quality of her tumbles.
      Her first pass is already 4 tenths deduction. Bent legs(.1), lunge back(.3). Second pass, .3-.5 on that low chest + landing deduction(s). Third pass, can she rebound well enough after the 5/2 twist into 1/1 twist? Because here, she barely got any height on that front layout. Fourth pass, almost didn't complete that double pike.
      Afanasyeva is one of my favorite Russian FX workers, but come on, it's pretty obvious that this performance WOULDN'T challenge for a medal at Worlds. She needs to work on her execution because that's what's killing her score.

    • @AlysAmisa
      @AlysAmisa 9 лет назад

      De Yu The quality of her tumbles.... Hahaha. De Yu, you are always kind with the Russians!

    • @dexmor6742
      @dexmor6742 9 лет назад

      It's true though. Lol. I like Afanasyeva, but this routine won't win her any medals.

    • @liukin95
      @liukin95 9 лет назад

      De Yu you also have to remember that she is coming back from ankle injuries that kept her out for about a year and a half. She is still getting back to the standard she was at at 2013 Europeans and Universiade.
