Mmm, I don't know, generally when I travel, I just put two or three ankle socks inside each other and put my watch in there. That's always worked for me.

Etsy has some ludicrously expensive travel cases. A couple they feature are also on Aliexpress (excusez le mot) for a third of the price.

I always use the Dan Henry roll. Place for 3 watches, I only need 2 watches and use the middle part for extra strap, screwdriver, springbars. It's perfect!

Travel solutions for watches? 🤔.. Wear a G-Shock square and then you don't need to buy a roll and travel with another watch, as all your needs will be covered 😉👍

My only critique is it uses velcro instead of a buckle.

All my watches are the good stuff, so for me, that would not work, but I understand if you mean higher value pieces perhaps.
Also depends where you travel too.

I try to take only two watches when I travel or one watch and two straps.
When I take two watches, I use the travel case I got when I bought my IWC Big Pilot. It's small but sturdy and has a pillow for the watch. It fits in my carry on bag when I fly too.

Once I got one, never use anything else.
I carry between 3 to 4 watches depending on destination and/or length of travel. Gotta go for this one though, the way you describe it I’ve gotta get my hands on one. 😁
    Cheers 🥂

Micro brands are always looking for an edge and finally they have figured out nobody gives a rats a** about yet another box that sits on the shelf until you flip the watch. Nodus ships with a clean simple 2 watch denim pouch and snap strap. Helson's are shipping with a 4 watch roll similar to the Hemel but with the addition of a 5th slender pocket for tools. Such a simple gesture that reinforces the brand by bringing additional value.

Thank you so much for the always informative content! Being a watch aficionado is amazing, especially when you have a great influencer like you. Being 17 is a little hard to buy the masterpieces we dream of, but thanks to your channel I found great alternatives and amazing brands like seiko and tissot that offer an amazing value for the money. Thank you for the videos, I always find them very interesting and I love the attention to detail these watches carry with them and how you very carefully describe every aspect of the watch, by far my favourite horology channel. Much love and keep up the amazing work, I look up to you..

I love my new Graham Fowler original canvas Marine Nationale watch roll, as seen on the cover of the watchistry book of the same name. Another British expatriate living in NYC, his designs are military inspired and pure class, if I may say so myself... The watch roll itself holds six watches, so my entire collection of tool watches, plus one on the wrist. Perfect for travel and daily use, I love it!

@Joseph Gore Jr. Thanks. That's only part of it. I have 17 in total which includes a Rolex Datejust from the 80s which I was given for my 18th in 1988. My list of current watches is...
      1. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16030
      2. Casio Men's Sports Tide and Moon Graph Watch Casio 2926
      3. Citizen Skyhawk JY0010-50E
      4. Citizen Perpetual Chronograph AT AT4010-50E
      5. Citizen gold dress watch BM6552-52E
      6. Garmin Fenix 5X
      7. Rotary Skeleton GS02518/06
      8. Steinhart Ocean Titanium 500 GMT Premium
      9. Seiko SKX007K2 Automatic Diver
      10. Seiko SRP481K1 Baby Ice Monster
      11. Seiko SUN025P1 Sportura GMT
      12. Seiko SRPA83K Prospex PADI Baby Tuna
      13. Seiko SARB017 Alpinist
      14. Seiko SRP309 Orange Monster Gen 2
      15. Seiko SNK809K1 Seiko 5 Automatic
      16. Casio GWG-1000-1A3 Mudmaster
      17. Tissot T Touch Expert Solar II
I hate to say it but if I was forced to get rid of them all except for one I would keep the Mudmaster even thought it is an absolute beast! My wrists are quite small but I don't believe a watch can be too big or too small. I believe you should wear what you want.

Good evening TGV, thank you for covering this question. Just recently I was facing the same quest 😉 when I wanted to take three watches on holiday. As a "Lifehack" I endet up using this padded pouches that lavalier mics come in as travel bags for my two watches I haven't had ob the wrist. I have them lying around here in some numbers, but one can grab them also for small money on the used market. Sound companys who own a greater Stock of mics often store their mics in flight cases and have no use for the the pouches, so the sell them on eBay. I think it's okay to put my Seikos in a pouch labelled Sennheiser 😉 Best regards, have a good one!

Hello. I appreciate your passion. I only got into watches recently. I collect coins and some other coin collector that also collects vintage watches showed his watches collection. Never thought watches are so interesting. I bought Soviet Raketa watch and Roamer from 1960. Then realised I should not wear them every day. So started researching what should I buy, that is how I found your channel few days ago and spend almost all my free time watching your videos. Also in my opinion Arnold & Son DSTB is one of the best looking watches ever. Also, maybe you could make video about Soviet/Russian watches in future? I think they deserve some attention from historical point of view. Keep the good work!

I don’t think $70 is bad for that Hemel roll case for what it is, toss a high end designer label on it, it would sell for several times the price. On Hemel’s website, thinking of ordering one. As you said it’s a one time purchase (unless you want more rolls).

Great review as always Sir! Thank you for your excellent work over the years. I have an Oakley case similar to your shockwave case for my Scurfa Bell Diver 1. Love it for travelling.

Hey TGV! I’m trying to choose between either the Oris Aquis in the blue gradient (polished and brushed) or the black (brushed) Aquis model. Do you have a preference between the two? Cheers! Love your videos, my wallet may be much lighter because of your amazing content ❤️

Would it be possible to create a playlist of all the GIAJ videos in order? I watch one or two with my morning coffee, since there's no time for one of the full-length (30-minute) videos.
    Cheers,

What about the one that comes with the Dan Henry watches? Did you get a chance to try it when you got the 1964?

I've been thinking a Submariner "No Date" would be my grail watch, but recently I've been thinking the BlancPain Fifty Fathoms may be the one FTW! Something a little more unique.

I’m having huge issues trying to get my watch collection back from the USA to the UK ... I was fine taking them in my hold luggage but now I’m back and trying to get them from the USA I cannot have them sent by shipping companies they state watches and batteries are banned from being shipped USA to UK and these rules have been in force since 2013 .... all companies dhl and ups to fed ex won’t touch my collection... I feel resigned too loosing all 20 or so watches no matter the value cheap or more valuable ... can you recommend or assist with advice ?

Awesome and informative video, thanks TGV! For me personally the reviewed Hemel watch roll is way too expensive. My whole watch collection is way too cheap (each piece below €400) to deserve such a luxory kind of storage. Plus I don´t mind a few scratches because they give a watch case some character.
