    My Tesla is my favourite winter vehicle I’ve ever had. Only cold weather issues I’ve ever experienced in my life is engines not wanting to turn over, which is why I removed the engine from the equation.

    Don't park near an EV in case they spontaneously combust into white dwarf star formation mode. It's a feature not a bug.

      that is BS nonsense, chance of an EV fire is 10 to 50 times lower than ICE cars, don't fall for that organized and paid propaganda spread by big oil media companies.

  • @chrishogan8125
    @chrishogan8125 8 месяцев назад +3

    Man, there's such a negative campaign out about EV's!!
    YES, you lose range in cold conditions!
    IF you don't precondition your battery for charging, it WILL take longer to charge!
    As far as freezing rain coating your car in ice...!? That's not an issue JUST for EV's!
    Be a smart EV owner! Know the cars limitations, and prepare accordingly!
    Your lifestyle may not be conducive to owning an EV! If you don't have an outdoor 120v plug at your home, and solely depend on pay chargers, I probably wouldn't recommend an EV for you!
    I live in Canada, and just went through -20 Celsius weather, and had NONE of these issues, other than a bit of range degradation,...but it didn't affect my day at all..!
    I work at a car dealership, and EVERYDAY we're replacing engines, and transmissions, some under warranty, and some not under warranty! To say that EV's are inferior to ICE vehicles is just flat out false, and the stats show that!
    At the end of the day, we're talking about CARS...PERIOD! Different vehicles have different capabilities, and are suitable for different needs, and different driving habits! A Mega Cab, duelly, long box 3500 truck, IS NOT suitable for someone who lives in a Condo in downtown Toronto, with underground parking.......doesn't mean that the 3500 is a POS..!?

    How many days is Chicago and other northern states are 20º or less? In all honesty, my ICE door handles freeze so I use deicer. Deicer might set EV batteries on fire.

      Thats nonsense, EVs save huge amounts of energy as they need 70 percent less energy than an ICE car, as most cars are charged slowly no grid problem usually, migh be a factor in rare special circumstances, but expanding a grid is cheap and a good investment.

    • @bourbonlover7158

      @@hanswallner2188 You MUST be joking! A grid is not cheap to expand.

  • @hanswallner2188
    @hanswallner2188 8 месяцев назад

    Every complex machine require a minimum of knowledge, and yes, if you buy a version with LFP batteries in a very cold climate charging will take time when the battery is cold. That problem can easily be overcome by thinking a little about what you are doing and when to charge... hint... the battery is getting warmed while driving, so it's a terrible idea to charge a car that was parked a long time in the cold, much better to charge after driving. If you want to avoid this problem then buy a version with NMC cells.
    Adoption rate of EVs in Norway, as you might know a VERY cold country, is worldwide highest, 85 out of 100 new cars are purely electric.

    Why don't E.V companies just use those magical NAZA's batteries, like the ones that they've been using on Mars for over 20 years now ? It's never above minus 80ºf and with no maintenance at all, those batteries somehow never die. I find that most curious. (The Devil is in the details)

      Everything that man has taught concerning science is a lie and the true agenda is evil. 66,616 mph = The speed of Earth’s orbit.
      .666 foot = Earth’s curvature per mile squared.
      66.666 feet = 10 miles Earth’s curvature.
      6666.666 feet = 100 miles Earth’s curvature and so on, forever.
      66.6º = Earth’s plane of orbit around the Sun.
      66.6º = Earth's tilt at the traditional '23.4º' which gives us the 90º right angle.
      66.6º = The North polar circle. 66.6º = The South polar circle.
      666 trillion miles = A discrepancy concerning the distance from Earth to Polaris.
      2,843,666mph = Earth flying through outer space.
      1666 = The year gravity was fabricated. 666 Newtons = The Force of Gravity.
      6,666 inches = The heights of the Washington Monument.
      666 inches = The perimeter of the Washington Monument (and the Pentagon is a pentagram).
      6 Electrons, 6 Neutrons and 6 Protons (Carbon) = What man is supposed to be based on.
      6 x 60 x 666 miles = The distance to the Moon. 239,760 miles
      6 x 6 x 60 miles = The diameter of the Moon. 21,260 miles
      600 x 6 x 6 = Nautical Miles = Earth's Circumference.
      666 Knots Per Second = The Speed of Sound.
      Sunset is divided by three degrees 6º+ 6º+ 6º = Civil, Nautical and Astronomical Twilight.
      From Mercury, the Sun is 666 times brighter, when using the inverse square law.
      Space starts at 60 miles above the ground, at 60 mph space will be reached in 60 minutes.
      6x6x6 = 216. Surface temperature of Uranus -216º f.
      Pluto's orbital velocity. 4.666 k/ms
      The distance of Mars from the Sun is 1,666 AU and its synodic period is 466.6 days.
      Our top researchers are quite literally satanic gatekeepers and they are not our friends.

    EV's suck, does anybody figure in all the wasted electricity being used to not drive the car? Pre heating, auto cooling, sentry mode?
    Does anybody realize that unlike gas everyone that uses electricity subsidizes the the EV owner. Is everyone's rate increase on everything electric factored into the cost to operate EV's.
    The state isn't asking Grandma to turn down her heat or turn up her AC so I can drive my ICE car to work.
