I worked in Thailand and i seen fellow workers fall in that trap, fall in love , debit card drained, depression, realizing they were one of five dating that girl
I dont get why dudes think that a girl is only with them exclusively. If you were not landing 10s over in the country you came from, you are not landing them there. People do not seem to get that it is a transaction, not a relationship.
Most people I know who moved here permanently partied like crazy for the first year. Then you either start to get bored and find hobbies & other things to do, or else you party on and go broke or get sick and go back home with your tail between your legs.
Adam, everything you said resonated mate. I've been here 12 years and I've seen so many people fall by the wayside due to alcohol and other vices. The recent plague cleared out a lot of my acquaintances/mates as well. I'm certainly no angel, but I've always had my work to keep me occupied which has certainly helped!
Moved to Pattaya two years ago, not on Holiday mold but every once in a while, I have fun and throw some money around...LOL. I have been sober for almost 38 years and great AA here in Pattaya. I am careful with friendships with expats, usually not my cup of tea but met some great guys in AA. I am trying to work on my health and fitness as my hobby. I travel around Thailand and the world as my other hobby. I don't take women here too seriously but I so appreciate that I am getting woman way of out of my league and alot of them. I treat the women here with kindness and generousity.
If I ever move to Thailand the good thing is I don't drink or smoke and I have no plans making friends with expat or anyone , nobody needs to know my business

when i was in pattaya for first time in january i was mind boggled how many men just sit there with a beer in front of them ALL day long like that is a happy retirement for them. sad. Also realized how everything revolves around alcohol in that city. If you not into drinking/partying and sitting in bars it can be a lonely place just walking past all these places I would walk around for 3-4 hours no problem but got kind of boring after a few days since I wasn't partying
Always love your videos, Adam. Not only are they always edited super pro (music, engaging cuts, fun narration etc) but you also always bring authenticity and life wisdom to them, too. I really think that if anyone or anything can convince people to watch out for themselves a bit more (important amongst Thailand expats no doubt…), then it’s people with your good attitude. Keep it up, you really come across as such a decent dude.

After hitting bottom in 2013, happy to say I've been clean and sober since that year. Don't even miss it. Hoping I don't get strange looks when I order a non alcohol beverage at the gogo bars.
Haha you will get the strange looks, but don’t feel bad, the amount they charge for a non alcoholic drink in those places is ridiculous haha congratulations on your sobriety! 😊
Awesome to hear you have discovered reading. Reading is the key that will open doors to knowledge you never even knew existed. As a bloke that owns many thousands of books here is one you will enjoy 'Dispatches' by Michael Herr. It's about his experiences as a war correspondent in the Vietnam war. About half the scenes from Apocalypse Now were lifted from this book and therefore actually happened. Very easy to read, yet very deep.

Sunday morning in Pattaya, I was going to have some private time with a "friends with benefits". I was in front of a massage parlor waiting for a Bolt to take me to her place. There was this foreign man setting up sleeping on the bench where the ladies set at who give massages. This man probably was so drunk he couldn't make it back to his hotel.

mate another great video there would be so much to do and see in Thailand apart from a bar where there are bars in all most every country go out meet people explore do things you could not do in any other country have fun you fly all the way there just to sit in a bar and get pissed what a waste
Hi Adam ,couldnt find a way to message you .All about Countries has used part of one of your Vietnam vids in their content "The Dark Side of Vietnam" under "love scams" you are blurred out but your friend isnt
No way my middle-aged ass is going to be able to drink party back to back nights. That's why living in thailand makes sense for me. Are there any bars that you can actually watch a football game at in Pattaya?
Some of these comments crack me up, your knowledge and advice is helpful to the people who think they are doing the right thing. And for the 1,s who pretend they're doing all the right things. But honestly mate most single blokes either alone or in groups are in Pattaya for 1 thing to have a party. And if that's what you're looking for i don't think there are much better places. Anyway everyone has different reasons, and thank god for that because if we all thought the same it would be a fkn boring world. Cheers mate seeya.
Yeah it’s more aimed at warning people thinking to move out.. I have done my fair share of partying there, and do still love it, but knowing when to hit the brakes is really important and I have seen many people not know when enough is enough..
@keisone 100% mate I,ve always lived in Sydney, but have stayed in Phuket, on many different occasions over many years. Also I,ve lived in Vietnam for nearly two years, but that was way back in 2000, 02,. But my Lady was in Patong Beach so I rented an apartment there. Spend 6 weeks partying then work for 8 to 10 in Vietnam on a Tour boat in Nah Trang. Those were the days. To many stories, and I also lived and stayed in Samui in 05 for 6 months just leased a bar with my friend Just at the end of high season, great fun made my money back in the first 2 months, and just enough to live on for the next 4 but fk me what a place for ladies shit some days I,d have barbecues with a couple of mates or my brother when he came over. And there would be up to 8 or 12 ladies around. Funny I use to have 1 clean my apartment every 3 or 4 days and when her friends found out they were all in. Only because I,d pay her 300 baht each time but the others were just trying to get some but we,d just put on the food and beer and then they were always around playing with us. Look until this day I visit Thailand because I have a couple of really great friends there 1 in Bangkok, she use to always book tickets for me wherever I was going to, I,ve known her for near 19 years. Great lady she works in Events and promotions now. Such a hard working lady and although Salaries have improved in Thailand, she still struggles with cost of living as do we all. Ever since around maybe 2012, Thailand has outpriced itself but it is the same In most Countries, I mean don't get me wrong if you want a great te you can still have it no doubt. But the problem is it will probably cost you an extra 2 to 300 bucks a day to do it compared to 20 years or more back, I mean the first time I was in Patong in 94 you could buy a beer for 40 baht on Bangla, and that hasn't changed so much because I still think you can get 1 in some bars for around 80 baht. But the ladies drinks have blown out the single blokes budgets, especially if you are genuinely honest enough and your there to party. I use to go to Bangla with 2 or 3 thou baht and have a blast because ladies drinks were cheap around 30 to 40 baht, and some days I,d wake up with ladies multiple in bed. 1 of my mates from America use to have an apartment down behind Taipan and it was like a 7- 11 they'd just come in and out, he worked off shore, he use to get off the boat every 8 or so months and stay in Patong for at least 10 weeks or more sometimes 14 week's until his next gig. And he told me when he walked off they would give him 8 grand cash and most of his money was put into his bank In America, but he said he'd have at least 40 large for 10 weeks. Funny bastard to hang around he had respect for the ladies who had respect for him. Just a normal down to earth bloke. Anyway sorry about going on so much mate but please take care and beware of the ladies especially from Isaan with a bit of Khmer in them they are the most beautiful to stay with. I only wanted to marry 2 ladies In 30 years and they were both Kmer and probably only lived about in a 300km radius ar Ubon Ratch and Si Seket seeya.

I usually only stay a few days at a time, but these days I prefer Jomtien beach..
But if I’m there to party, I like the base condo in central pattaya
You don't train Thai Boxing?
Keis you drove your bike from Baghkok to Pattaya? Dangerous?
Cheers mate,
🙂
haha just ordered 3 different mushroom packs XD wanted to try them already for long time but no one recommended me any XD thx
Awesome man, let me know how you go.. the best thing about them is you don’t feel any different, they are working but you don’t even notice.. which ones did you get?
@@keisone yeaa was just researching a lot about it... really looking forward XD I got the once for memory, energy and sleep
Awesome bro.. stay consistent with them, I didn't notice right away but after a week of taking them, I could really notice it. The weird thing is you don't feel anything from it, but I will notice after I have finished editing for 3 hours without getting distracted its like Wow, Thats new haha

@@keisone Of course bro! 💯
I really appreciate that! I hope I do! :D
4 days is the longest I have stayed in Pattaya... It's great to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.. I live in Khon Kaen half the year... I don't drink, You would drink more in one night than I have in the last 30 years.. The misses and I will jump on the X max for a day ride that ends up lasting a week... Accommodation and food is so cheap it doesn't matter and times on my side..
Hey brother thanks for the great content, we should catch up a coffee sometime.
mate another great video there would be so much to do and see in Thailand apart from a bar where there are bars in all most every country go out meet people explore do things you could not do in any other country have fun you fly all the way there just to sit in a bar and get pissed what a waste
Haha yeah, it always surprises me how many people cracking on in the mornings lol
Love to see the blonde hair is back. That dark dark hair didn't suit you, but you dont know until you try...I get it.
Great video

Eddie the Expert
good advice ...
No way my middle-aged ass is going to be able to drink party back to back nights. That's why living in thailand makes sense for me. Are there any bars that you can actually watch a football game at in Pattaya?
Check out the Bangkok 8 series by John Burdett
To many stories, and I also lived and stayed in Samui in 05 for 6 months just leased a bar with my friend
Just at the end of high season, great fun made my money back in the first 2 months, and just enough to live on for the next 4 but fk me what a place for ladies shit some days I,d have barbecues with a couple of mates or my brother when he came over.
