*I want the names of the Take-Two managers* responsible for the poaching back then. Every article talks about Nate Simpson and others, but always refers to Take-Two deciders as just "Take-Two". I want to know who these people are, to shame them publicly on the Internet.
The final scene with the colony collapsing is now weirdly prescient. RIP KSP2, your dreams crashed and burned the way the ships did in the trailer.
We can still hope for a spiritual successor.

It's funny, I must have watched this trailer 100 times by now. But today feels different. I first started playing KSP 1 in middle school. I was a junior in high-school when this trailer dropped. Now I am a year away from a masters degree in aerospace engineering. KSP has been my favorite game for a decade at this point. Today is a truly sad day
Some American universities will let you do a five year program where you get both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. That’s a year faster than normal.

Yes, Skip Ad. I'm sure advertisers pay more if an ad is watched completely. Probably why many ads have a very boring ending that just wastes your time and makes you want to click skip even if you enjoyed the actual ad. Although if I was youtube I would make them pay a lot more if "Skip Ad" was clicked at the very end. It would show that the user was actually watching rather than grabbing a drink from their fridge. Who knows, maybe that's how it works now. Not like youtube ever clarifies anything about how their algorithms work.

When I first saw this trailer, I thought the way everything crumbled or broke apart in the video, like the launchpads, spaceships, and colonies was typical zany Kerbal (TM) styling. Now I know it was a subtle foreshadowing of what would happen with the actual game.
Anyone who played KSP knows the feeling of their lander toppling over after landing, I love that they showed that.
And then trying to salvage the mission and take off by spinning it enough to pop up vertical-ish and slamming the thrusters to max.

I spend serious money on this, now when I come back watching the trailer, I get depressed.
I've been playing KSP since v0.17 in my high school time and it basically sparked my interest in rocket science. I am now in master studies in aerospace engineering and all that is thanks to KSP.

I love how this trailer reflects the two sides of this game. One where players go to amazing lengths making wild creations and going far...and then players such as myself who create total terror and destruction in their space program with failed missions.
