The strawberry hack is more for prep work as in when u aren’t immediately just eating the strawberries but preparing them to go on cakes or for chocolate-dipping etc etc where the leaves get in the way

The pineapple didn't work for you guys, because of its state of ripeness. The pineapple in the orig video are really ripe, almost yellowish/orange, so it is really softer than the ones you tried, which are still more green in it.
The pineapple was cut wrong to start with. To remove the top you have to cut around the spikes, not straight across. Straight across makes the big mess, around the spikes is neater.

The reason why the cupcake one is stupid is because it’s like saying oh look I have a piece of cake there is frosting on the top, let me cut off the bottom and then put that part on top to make cake. I’m a genius!
