The monorail leaves the park because when it was opened in 1969 it was not a park ride. It was a transportation option to get from downtown Hershey near the original chocolate factory to Hersheypark Arena. In 1973 the original factory stopped having public tours (Chocolate World opened) so not as many people were downtown. Hersheypark decided to incorporate the monorail as a relaxing ride. The downtown station was still there but almost never used. They tore it down in 2017 and changed the track so it only goes through half of the parking lot instead of the whole way across as before.
Wildcat's Revenge is one of the best night rides in the park. This ride definitely deserves its Gold Ticket for the Best New Roller Coaster. Easily a 10 out of 10 in any weather.
ive definatly got hershey park on my bucket list when I go to america. im building a knex recreation of wildcats revenge right now. and after looking at the layout for this long it looks amazing. the only rmc ive done is zadra and thats my #1
The red spotlight that tracks the trains through the turnaround on Wildcat's Revenge is a really cool, subtle touch. Brilliant use of tech that is already on the ride to enhance the experience
I always love when you guys go to Hershey. That used to be my home park and it's cool seeing all the changes to it now that I don't get to go as often.
Thanks for taking us to another holiday visit! They're just so festive and extra-exciting, I love 'em. I've never been to a park during a park event with decorations and lighting, but all of your visits to them brings that special fun and beauty into our homes.😃
Hershey native here: not uncommon for Candylane to often be that empty. Christmastime at Hersheypark is criminally underrated because the coaster lineup is limited, but it’s a great time to go! And I fully approve of the Ferris wheel appetizer choice at The Chocolatier 😂
I went on December 28 2023. Not realizing kids were still off of school. As a season pass holder, it was the busiest I have EVER seen it. There was a line for everything… food, flat rides, games, etc. We rode WCR one time and left. It was awful. Now comparatively, the times I did Candylane in 2022 were much better and hardly any lines. So anyone that wants to go to Candylane… avoid dates where kids are still off of school 😵💫😵💫😵💫 it wasn’t even a weekend.
Got a few laps in on New Years day... honestly, I like it better with a few MPH knocked off the back half. The lats are toned down enough that I'm comfortable getting more laps in than in the summer. The hangtime felt more hang and less push-hang as well. Fortunately, taking a little speed off it, does NOT ruin the ejector moments. So, tho it's going against the general enthusiast mantra of "it's only good running it's fastest", I will admit I much prefer Revenge served COLD.
My friends and I were on a couple of rides with you or a train apart (Wildcat's Revenge, Sooperdooperlooper, and we were a few people behind you on Reese's Cup Fusion). It was a very slow night. As for Wildcat, it was running a little bit faster by the end of the night. We kicked things off with 4 rides on it and then went back and grabbed 6 more.
Hershey is so much fun during the holidays!!! Glad you guys had such a great time! So wait is Skyrush getting new restraints….like maybe the new age intamin lap bars😳
Hershey has some amazing coasters and a giga is a possibility for them. Wildcats revenge runs slower in the winter like every coaster but it’s still intense and amazing I rode it in the summer and winter it was amazing
Hersheypark has been quietly building up their , extreme roller coaster repertoire and keeping their heads down… they wanted you to notice they had quite a lineup …when you actually noticed lol
Ok here's a rare (or different) compliment to the Coaster Studios team --- great music editing on this video, especially the flyover of the coasters(1st music break) -- Yes I'm a musician, and of course a Coaster Enthusiast. Happy New Year gang!
Reeses Cupfusion is not better than Toy Story Midway Mania. I'm not a huge fan of TSMM but Reeses Cupfusion is a bit ridiculous (especially the queue line.) And neither of those holds a candle to Men In Black Alien Attack or Flooded Mine. And while I haven't ridden the dark ride at The Lost Island, I'm pretty sure that would destroy Reeses Cupfusion.
This makes me very jealous as there's nothing to ride in the UK in winter! I would like to suggest that you guys mention vegan options at the parks you visit, for a lot of us it will make or break a park. I don't know if any of your regularly appearing friends are vegan and could help cover it when you go eat, or you could just look out for options around the park and mention it, that'd be so good, no one in the youtube enthusiast scene does it
Our friends August and Janek are vegetarian and whenever we feature them in a video and have a meal together usually we shout out their vegetarian options! We actually did this when August visited Hersheypark last year, I believe he ordered a veggie burger by Hershey Triple Towers
@@CoasterStudios that's good to know thank you, still though vegan stuff is generally a lot harder to find than vegetarian, especially in a lot of the US that love cheese etc, so it would always be super nice to know 👍

Hershey has quietly become one of the best parks in America. The coaster line up is incredible.
Next up to cedar point which is now owned by sixflags amusement
I've never been to Hersheypark but its 2024 now and its time for amazing new coasters
This park is truly beautiful at night, especially this coaster with all of the night time lighting.
Wildcat's Revenge is one of the best night rides in the park. This ride definitely deserves its Gold Ticket for the Best New Roller Coaster. Easily a 10 out of 10 in any weather.
Silver dollar city night rides are awesome
I love these winter events at parks! Just looks like such good fun 😅

I think the lighting package looks great!
I want to go here so bad and see how good these rides really are!
We actually enjoyed it more in the winter than in the summer but either way is still great
I really like the lights on wildcats revenge, so a nightride on Wildcats Revenge with the lights is a great experience! + Usually shorter lines
The red spotlight that tracks the trains through the turnaround on Wildcat's Revenge is a really cool, subtle touch. Brilliant use of tech that is already on the ride to enhance the experience

3:45 idk why I found this so funny 😂😭

wildcats revenge warms up even in december. it was HAULING around 8 pm whenever i went

Hersheypark was already the #1 park in my bucket list and this just shot it way further up!
Such awesome chemistry as always!!! 💖❤💖
Halloween night rides on this were some of the craziest rides on any coaster i've ever had.
One hour gang
I've been inspired by y'all and got my ticket to Rollercoaster Rodeo, my first enthusiast event!

Doubt it. Not really easy to modify restraints unless they use the same locking system and sockets.
Edit: I ate those words
3:04 could legit be an ad for the park i wanna go so bad it looks so cool

This thing is amazing!!!
The train ride is also great during Christmas Candylane
7:45 my first inversion was Loch Ness monster at bgw I love that ride so much
Talon’s one of my favorites too
Mini Gwazi is so good!!!
Ran well during our multiple trips during Christmas Candy Lane.
Wild mous next to wildcat's revenge... Tom ?... Jerry ?... 😂
Hersheypark has been quietly building up their , extreme roller coaster repertoire and keeping their heads down… they wanted you to notice they had quite a lineup …when you actually noticed lol
I would love to visit Hersheypark someday! The lineup is stacked compared to anything in the UK
Wild mouse got caught and got revenge by wildcats revenge right next door.

Couldn’t ride Revenge since it was down a few days, but Candy felt pretty fast.
I WAS JUST THEIR WHAT THE
wcr TEARS in the winter, but in the summer it will probably be better (coming from a winter 1st rider)
@4:21 🤯
LAMPS!
Talon!
After all your my Donderwaallll

A burger with chocolate sounds awful
