125s are a lot of fun, I'm just not a fan of how much more maintenance they require when compared to the bigger bores, and the low TQ can really hurt in the technical stuff. That 200 is a great choice for the woods here up north.
I have a KTM125Xc and a Beta 200 RR the low end of the 200 is so much better but the 125 revs harder. 200 is easy to ride 125 requires really working all the time
I love the Austrian bikes, but there’s just a different personality for Betas. I also wish more brands made a 200. It really is the best of both worlds for a weekend warrior.
I do not agree with their verdict about the 200. It most definitely a race bike!! I know several people that race and absolutely haul ass on them. If you put the 125 against the 200 in the kind of terrain they were designed for, you see that 200 shine far over that 125.
These are not desert bikes. From what I've seen in other tests of these bikes is that they are stable but will twitch some but its not a death whooble. I switched from Kawasaki to Suzuki for 2001 and the RM is known for handling and not as good with stability and it got twitchy a few times without explanation but the other 96% was caused by something I did as a rider. The b8ggest thing was getting my suspension setup properly for me and how I ride then it never happened again.
excellent video, but whoever does the writing on your website makes more than a few errors, the latest being the writer saying chad reed finished 2nd in sx and mx in 2011. he finished 2nd in sx, but 3rd in the nationals.
An excellent pipe (and silencer) for the 200 is made by Scalvini, an italian brand aswell. My dad got them for his 200 and the "over rev limit" is no more a problem. Sorry for my english but it isn't my mother tongue.
@@spacejaime Good! The pipe that we bought is pretty expensive but it is definitely worth the cost with how much the bike gains in terms of performance
With the ways things are going in this world people will wish they saved their money, they are going to need it. We are living in false economy right now. 8-9 grand is ridiculous for a dirt bike.
California based media test an offroad bike somewhere that isn't a motocross track...challenge impossible
The premise of the 200 not being a race bike is somewhat misleading - it is an enduro/hares scrambles competition bike, and one heck of a trail bike!
Impossibly trashed rough trails that aren’t too hilly is where the 200 shines in competition.
It gives Vets that like 125's and 150's a choice.
Beta needs to make an RX 125. Keep the carb and put e start on it. Something different than both the YZ and the Austrian bikes.
TM racing MX125
You can put a e start on the 125. Its got the housing for it... I want to know if a 200 barrel will fit on the 125?
@@davidbriggs3811 No, the new cases are to small to make it a 200.

Crazy that E-mtb are the same price these days as MX bikes
Mtb’ers are all dentists or doctors

Because it's carbon frame.

9k for a 125 is crazy. I’m getting old!

Top speed ???
Offroad classes generally have a 125-200cc class, then anything over 250 is obviously open class.
yz125x vs beta125rr. who wins in this same style format?
200cc Is a real weapon
What is the weight of the 200 Race Edition? I have seen all sorts of numbers. Thanks
electric starting on a 125 has to be the most unneeded thing in MX

Fun video! Thanks! 👍👍
Sherco 125 vs beta 125
Did you find them feeling smaller or twitchy at speeds?

Maybe Mitch&Team can make a pipe for the 200 with more over-rev.

Middle of June?
Awesome test, 35 hp is more power, the Beta have O Ring chain therefore the same power of 2022 YZ
Long live the ol 1 2 5!!!

125 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Those bikes look killer
200 for the win :D
Was that Jett on the 125?
2 strokes are fun but the 4 strokes have way more torque
6 months to put a video out?
Nice
Beta italy made😮
Yes. My neighbour country. I have a Beta to (Xtrainer 300)
Daayum 👍👊
have fun, california is banning 2 strokes, then probably coming after all small motor internal combustions.
Both are too weak in power, ktm 150 is well over 40 horse.
Not sure why I need to see this ktm on every video, don’t y’all have a video specifically for it? Kinda annoying tbh.
You guys need to test bikes in a forest
Seriously the 200 has less power 😂
