I watched her first season. Literally EVERYONE was telling her not to drink again. SHE was the one who walked away from her years long sobriety, three it away, and SHE made the choice to drink. Period.

Kandi’s treatment by Bravo is COMPLETELY different than anyone else’s. This was a bad example and proves Leah’s point. Andy and Bravo play favorites. Other housewives have reaffirmed the special treatment Kandi always got (down to getting a number of spinoff shows)

She is full of BS. As someone who has 13 years of sobriety, there is NO ONE responsible for my behavior but me. That includes choosing to drink. I can’t count the number of times people encourage/push me to have a drink. It’s up to me to say no if I want a life of sobriety. She made the choice to return to the show multiple times for the money. She says that in this interview, that it was impossible to pass up. Bullshit. I’ve left good jobs due to bad work environments. You move on. She made a choice to prioritize money over her sobriety and mental health. She made the choice to drink knowing she was an addict. She made the choice to drink while on meds for mental health. She made the choice to join knowing anything and everything in your life is up for exposure. I’ve even heard Andy say that people should never go on reality TV if they have secrets currently or in the past because it will like be found out, usually by fans and exposed. And for her to say she “chose not to come back is a joke. Her show was cancelled. I saw her in an interview while they were in hiatus saying she hoped the show continued and she wanted to come back. I have several family members with bipolar and part of management is making sure you set up your life to not have chaos and avoid stress.
She must be looking for a settlement because there’s no way she could win this.

She totally prioritized money over her sanity and sobriety and she almost said it again at the end of the interview when she’s asked why she went back that last time and she almost says “I needed the money”! It was so obvious but instead she said she gives people benefit of the doubt. Lol. Anyways I’m rambling now but amen to this comment and congrats on 13 years! That’s no small accomplishment!! Since when is she a “fan favorite?” At the end of the day she’s an adult and if she wasn’t stable enough with her sobriety and mental health she shouldn’t have entered into reality tv. Feels like she’s looking for an easy payout since money seems to be her only motivator in this case.
I watched her first season of RHONY last year and I remember her making a dramatic event of her drinking. No one pushed her to drink - in fact, she was the one who grabbed someone's drink and drank from it. It seemed all the other HWs were trying to get her to calm down... even Ramona. She wanted to be the wild child.

Lee caused her own problems, she went on that show wanting all the attention and acted out. She knew full well what ever problems she had would be amplified by doing reality TV. There are many examples of exploitation, you just have to go through some videos here on RUclips. Look at Honey Boo Boo, why do they need to show her full blown meth addiction and destruction? TLC has some explaining to do too, Harvey Levins of the world also. But that is a reflection of us as a society, we consume that stuff and pay for it. I stopped watching that type of tv a long time ago.

Having grown up with an alcoholic parent, watching Leah was second hand embarrassment. When sober, she was ok, but a drink in hand made her so unlikeable. Move on, lady.

Laura Leigh and Jax went to an AA meeting too on vanderpump rules. Lala is sober, Luaan has been sober. Kim Richard’s got sober on the show. There’s a girl from the new show southern hospitality that is sober. Something isn’t adding up with Leah

Alcoholism is a disease. She can be on reality TV and get the support that she needs. We wouldn’t treat people with other sicknesses the same way. And once a reality star signs a contract for the whole season, it is not easy to get out of. I can only imagine the peer pressure she received in the overwhelming presence and absence of cameras. Being entertained by the demise of rich women, which all of the Real Housewives franchises do, is entertaining for some until it is not - like she is claiming.

It’s an alcoholic working at a bar syndrome. I have watched times when Bravo production absolutely steps in- watch Below Deck when the naked cast member got into the bunk of a drunk girl. He was immediately handled and then kicked off the show. People and people alone are making the decision to go on a show where there will be “temptations” just because they can’t handle it, you can’t then defame and discredit people- your just doing the same thing you are blaming Bravo for.
How come they aren’t mentioning Brandi is being sued by cast mate for sexual harassment & sexual assault prior to her accusations now?🤔

Leah has NO credibility. We all know at this point that most women join the Real Housewives franchises when they are in financial trouble. Her brand, Married to the Mob does less than $1M in revenue a year. She’s not making ANY money. Certainly not enough to live in NYC like some kind of mogul.
Then she got fired after only 2 seasons? She wants money. She’s willing to lie to get it, just like she was willing to hit a police officer, destroy Ramona’s property, and get drunk on national television if it could make her some money.

The one thing that comes to mind is of nearly every reality show cast member commenting at some point on how they are basically placed at a lunch or dinner table... and plied with alcohol. I'm not stating that's ethically right.. but it is most definitely something that cast members would be very aware of.. and I think that's why she added in the part of how "they" would say to her "people miss the old Leah.. not the sober Leah".. which doesn't even make sense because it hadn't even aired because they were obviously just filming it. And even if it did.. that still doesn't equate to being forced to consume alcohol. It would be so refreshing to see one or more of these (generally) women who sue for allegedly moral reasons.. to do so with a true sense of protectiveness for other women.. and without financial incentive. It is extraordinary that a court could even assess this as being worthy of court process. She obviously thought that the 250k, for 1 week of work was excessive.. and there is often alot that is implied in a financial bonus- that wouldn't go down in a contract.. especially for an all expenses paid week away in Thailand with a group of women who you have had a big history of drinking with. And fr, she sounds like any addict/alcoholic who is incapable of taking basic accountability about the AA meetings. I understand she is trying to answer every basic and logical question before she is asked.. but maybe she could have done an online meeting.. or caught an uber to a meeting with the 250k you reveived for 7 days' work! 😅
America really caters to these types of women.. and that is super problematic for women...

She can't sue everyone who's ever had to be exposed to her messy life. Only the ones with money lol. Surprise. She thought she could retire her mom on 3000 an episode? Bull. She made her own decisions. She made a mess. She's still a mess. Her terrible treatment of her coworkers is grounds for suit, as well.
These people all knew what they were singing up for. Not one of them deserves sympathy. They're damaged people who crave fame and attention and any cost. Reality TV isn't something new. They're just mad now that the world gets to see the horrible sides of them that they themselves probably didn't know they had and are riddled with shame. That isn't Bravo's problem. Their lack of accountability is astounding.
The lack of compassion for alcoholism and mental health in these comments is gut wrenching! Not liking someone or their personality doesn't mean they are ANY LESS unwell than someone you DO like. Unlikable reality TV stars CAN be suffering with mental health, alcoholism and addiction and STILL be treated with the same compassion as everyone else. If it was EASY for everyone to simply STOP using and get sober, what need would there be for rehab? Stop judging and educate yourself!
