How to play Chess - All in one place: ruclips.net/p/PLLALQuK1NDriznzxP5rQkQwKIrGSWRMZF

Learned a couple of things I didn't know about pawns. Especially the pawn chain directed towards the enemy king side.

If the king castles long (queenside) than you'd reverse the pawn chain. The beautiful thing about chess is that it is ALL situational.. Usually after around the 10th move; the chess piece positions have never been played before so all rules become more like guidelines.

Nice video: You got in quickly, without the usual, lengthy graphics and title “overhead.” You gave us the info, and then you got out. Thank you! Very fine video!

Thank you, you explain it well, one step at a time. I looked at other vids tonight & can only say if I was a Master at Chess, I wouldn't need advice. I think some of these instructors go 100 miles a minute to show they're supposed genius - keep dreaming, you're teaching now, not defeating. Miss of "this" video, you're a really good instructor !!!

This is a great tutorial. The pawn chain pointing towards the king side is an amazing way to set up the board so you can move your major pieces into positions for a good mate.

double pawns in the center can be very advantageous, as it adds more power to the center squares.

I have seen so many end games which result in complex pawn structure. Top players resign I don't understand why they resign. They have the ability to calculate and come up with moves which result in a mate.

I heard from many people that two pans in column is a not good configuration. There are no golden rules in chess. If there are golden rules there is nothing challenging. In some configurations two pans in a column may be helpful to win the game.
