I've been thinking a lot about Judas lately. The story of Judas, appears to differ from the accepted canon; or at least it does when one truly looks deeply into it. Supposedly, there was a gnostic text referred to as the Gospel of Judas that explained that Judas didn't betray Christ in the traditional sense; but rather that he was following Christ's orders to do so. There are interpretations that can be made from this, that state that perhaps Judas had to actually betray Christ in his heart for it to actually *work* in the sense of it being a true betrayal. Thus, the story can be looked at from a lens of Judas betraying Christ out of love. Out of faith.
