The game has always been one of my favorites because I love his energy and his cadence. When he’s in his bag you can really feel the emotion in what he’s saying BUT He’s not a bar heavy rapper. Never has been and he has to know he can’t fuck with em
Yup, he is a West coast rapper. People seems to not understand what that means. It means that energy, flow, cadence and delivery comes before rap schemes. Look at Dre as an example, he often get criticized for having basic bars. Thats funny to me because he has had Em, DOC, Jay-Z, Kendrick amongst others writing his lines. If he wanted that top notch lyricizm he could have had that easily by just ordering it. But he haven't done that, because all rap is not about bars and you shouldn't therefor judge it on that

Unwritten freestyles are incredibly rare these days, like non existent aside from a bar or a line mixed in. Freestyles always mean written.
