    My routine ☺️💖
    1. Lightly detangle with water before wash (Especially when just coming out of a protective style.)
    2. Rinse hair in shower really good
    3. Wash with aussie shampoo in a downward motion (like in the movies)
    4. Condition and detangle as lightly as possible.
    5. Leave in for 15-30 mins (with plastic bag or shower cap)
    6. Rinse out really good
    7. Either blow dry or get a moisturizer and work it through your hair with a light coat of grease. Then twist each section ( just a little bit of grease/ oil on your scalp. To much can block your follicles)
    8. Wear a satin scarf/bonnet until you are ready to style again and/or re-moisturize
    Additional tips:
    Keep your ends clipped
    Don’t over process your hair with to much product
    If needed, get a protein treatment
    Give your scalp some love ❤️ ( Aka massage that thang)
    KEEP HAIR AS MOISTURIZED AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.
    That routine saved my hair☺️

    It is actually good for your hair (and your skin) if you dont use the same products forever. So a change here and there can be really beneficial for you.

  • @AbianahTheGemini

    What I do
    Tbsp of mayo 2 eggs and olive oil mixed together
    Then apply it to my hair in sections while finger detangling then twist up the sections and put them into Bantu nots.
    Put a plastic bag on my head then three scarves on top of the bag and leave it in for an hour.
    Then go into the shower and shampoo and condition my hair in twists.
    Then re braid each section/twist and put that in a bun and leave it in those braids for 1-2 weeks.
    💖Results💖
    my hair has gone from ear length to almost armpit length in less than 2 years. Really good routine and I have had major setbacks in that amount of time so if you do things perfectly you could probably reach bra strap length in 2 years.

    I want to be like Hanifah and be all hippie as Pip mentioned but I have 4C hair like Pip. I've made that same hair mask like 3 times. It was a way for me to save money on conditioner while living in super expensive London. But I had the same issue where there would be bits left in my hair. Or the egg would cook in my hair. Now that I no longer live in London and can afford to splurge more, I buy from a Black Owned brand called Ecoslay. I really like their matcha protein treatment and their banana deep conditioner.

    Hanifa's hair texture looks more like 4a, perhaps 3c. I see 3b as small, usually defined slinky curls (sometimes loose) on non-afro and sometimes mixed hair. 3b hair usually doesn't stay parted stiff like that @9:26, nor does it have fluffy roots. Examples of celebrities with 3b hair are Andie Mcdowell, Nicole Kidman, Kangana Ranaut, etc. 3c is a mixture of afro-texture and these curls. 4a is quite woolly with many small coily curls on afro and mixed hair.

    • @IXcircle
      @IXcircle 3 года назад +5

      I felt the same wayyyyy. I think if anything her hair looked a combo of 3c and 4a but im skeptical about considering it 3b.

    • @yad1298
      @yad1298 3 года назад +5

      it definitely isn’t 3b, there’s a specific texture 3c+ has and she has it.

    • @rachna6379
      @rachna6379 3 года назад +2

      Exactly what I thought as well! I'd say my hair is 3b and it's nowhere as coily as hers is

    • @orangeoranges8690
      @orangeoranges8690 3 года назад +6

      Although I agree that her texture is a bit mostly 3c, it could still qualify as 3b I’ve had that kind a hair my whole life (a bit finer than hers) and it has always has been called 3b hair
      The celebrities you stated (in my opinion) aren’t even in the “3” category it’s not even curly

    • @RR-kp5ps
      @RR-kp5ps 3 года назад +1

      @@orangeoranges8690 If you google the names of these celebrities along with "natural hair" or "young", you'd see their hair are naturally tightly curled from root to tip, as if they had a perm. Type 2 hair is wavy (little to no spirals). Type 3 is curly. Type 4 is coily and a common trait amongst African/Caribbeans, although (all these three types can be considered a type of curl). I wouldn't consider these celebrities to have 3a hair as I see 3a hair as large curl pattern with a smooth texture, like Sandra Oh for example. Type 2c hair would be tight waves with some curl, like Shakira. The person in the video could possibly have a mixture of types - such hybrids are common amongst mixed-race people, and also some Arabs, East Africans and Afro-Latinas, and perhaps Oceanic and Dravidian peoples. That being said, I have 1b hair, but my ends (which tend to be thinner) can get a little bit wavy and sometimes curly - I don't consider myself to have a hybrid of hair types as curls are determined by the shape of the follicles. It's quite important to differentiate between afro-textured and non-afro hair as haircare products for afro hair can be too rich for non-afro hair, and non-afro haircare may not be adequate enough for robust yet dry afro hair and scalp.

    NO no. All wrong. 🤦‍♀️Both of you have terrible hair routines that's why your hair came out that way. Avocado? No sis, no.🤦‍♀️🤣 You need the LOC/LCO method. Liquid, oil, cream, Or Liquid, cream, oil. Now pick a product from light to heavy.✨👌 If you cannot use heavy products, then for your LIQUID use water, if you can go heavier use a spray leave in conditioner, for heaviest liquid use a lotion leave in. CREAM use a light curling custard, heavier; a styling cream, heaviest; hair butter. OIL I like Jojoba, Neem & Brahmi for light. ✔Jamaican Black Castor oil for medium , heaviest Grease. because some people need grease. 👀

      @RebelRhiannon 3 года назад +1

      Didn’t know that that was a thing but it’s basically what I do, except I usually skip creams because I’m lazy. Spray leave in conditioner, spray protein conditioning spray treatment, black caster oil and sometimes argon oil to.

    • @outherewildinb2874
      @outherewildinb2874 3 года назад +3

      I don't care much for their routines, but LOC/LCO isn't as helpful of a method either. Most people do not need oil that isn't in a product. On top of the moisturising shampoos, it's a recipe for disaster in terms of hydration. A leave in has all the components, there's really no basis to separate and apply in a certain order other than the feel of the hair. Texture does not mean dry.

      @kimmieyc6476 3 года назад +1
