      Natale Binetti, Olson put a gag order on a good priest who was about to report one of Olson’s former seminarians for an affair with a parishioner / church employee. HE is hiding the truth. HE is enabling a sexual predator. So, I guess he IS an expert on covering things up.

      @@jeffreysprigg8722 Really? If true that is unfortunate. However, I think his tone and words here were spot on, and I think the other Bishops need to be just as passionate and forceful.

      pascal 7, it’s not his words but the source. Knowing how he really acts - in contravention of those words - is infuriating. Olson is a pretender, an opportunist saying what we want to hear without meaning it.

    • @tamidavenport1742
      @tamidavenport1742 6 лет назад +4

      Tony Gilder what are you talking about? The subject is about what to do with an abuse allegation. Call the police. This isn’t to be resolved ‘in house’ any more.

    • @tonygilder7912
      @tonygilder7912 6 лет назад

      @@tamidavenport1742 I said what I said. Just like I DO NOT need to ask Caesar if gay marriage is okay either. We are to get OUR house in order. I do not need the government (which is itself infested with all manner of filth) to tell the Church about its filth. How can a secular police dictate what is "illegal" to the Catholic Church? We went through that once with Jesus and WHO voted to crucify him? Jesus turned over the Temple; he did not call the Centurions to do it.

They should be yelling, banging on the podium, and perhaps cussing is going too far, but surely there must be greater moral outrage! What that man(if the word can even be used) did is beyond evil. It’s not about judging-- well, maybe it is in this case! What we cannot judge is his soul, but these bishops must judge his actions and say over and over how vile his actions were. Or is it that they knew but took no steps to stop him?

    Then he said unto them, you clean your hands, and make a great show of your purity; but you are like a dirty vessel.
    You clean the outside of it for others to see and say, "See, it is clean," but on the inside there is filth and dirt.
    Then he left them and went to eat and drink, with the sinners(aborters) and the High Priests and Scribes, tore at their robes and garmets and clothes.
