Thank you for this video! I am following this tutorial to design the blog page format first, then will be linking with CMS. I inserted tabs and placed my card wrapper under Tabs Content > Tab Pane 1. Do I need to copy/paste this to all other tabs as well, and then filter?
Why would you decide to add a separate CMS Collection of "blog categories" and then a "reference" field, instead of just adding an "option" field labeled "categories" within the Blog CMS Collection? Does one have any benefits vs the other? Working on a site now for a client and am this exact step! Thanks! Great video 😊
I think at the time of the recording it was not possible to filter a collection list by options from an option field. but I just rechecked it and now it seems to be possible. So you can use an option field in your case :)
Hi, thanks for the tutorial! I have a question: For the individual posts, could we customize the layout? For example, I want 3 photos in a grid in Post #1 >> one paragraph; but in Post #2, I would like to have 1 paragraph >> 1 photo >> 1 paragraph. Is it possible? I like the benefits of automated layout but also want some freedom in adjusting the layout and content. Thanks!
Sounds like you could use css pseudo selectors to achieve this or make a grid and place one collection list in each grid cell. This way you can give each an unique styling…
@@designbasestudio Hey, thanks for your response!! I am not familiar with this approach. I will need to research on it. Hopefully you will have a video on this subject later on. Keep up the good work! I've subscribed! :)
Well done! Relume makes it much easier. Two questions: how would you setup the original category menu to filter blog posts? Also, would I need to connect the “Read More” text to the blog post or is the entire card linked to the post? Thx!
Hey Jeff, one way is to use a tab element and use one tab per category. Or you use radio buttons give them a custom style and use the filter UI kit from finsweet. But I would use the filter UI kit only in case I need more features from it like a search field... Many people click on the image of a card and expect to get redirected to the post so I wrap the entire card in a link block. the read more button is just "fake"...
Hello! I have a webflow website and have already created my CMS content 'past events' but when I try to drag and drop the Collection list wrapper into my page, the purple boxes do not show up. It looks fine on your video AND on the webflow university videos but wondering why this is not showing up for me. Have you had any issues with yours lately? I am wondering if there is something going on. TIA!

This channel needs more attention! Straight to the point again, thank you!!!
At first I thought CMS is very hard but after watching this video, I downloaded it inside my brain very easily. Thanks buddy!!
You‘re welcome!
Exactly what I needed, after all the searching I did, finally found this on my home page recommended. Good stuff, thank you.
You are welcome. I am glad that it helped you!
Thank you so much for showing the Layers order! Too many tutorials keep the Layers panel closed. That alone earned you another subscriber.

Great work!!! Thank you!

Yes you need a collection in each tab with a filter according to the tabs name (assuming you have a tab for each category).
Thank you! Do you or any of your colleagues have videos demonstrating that process? Sometimes observing minor nuances can be really helpful!
@@alidivan1668 unfortunately not. But just repeat the steps I show in the video for all other tabs.
@@designbasestudio - tried it and it worked! Thank you!!

Great video I have 1 question how can I add the next and previous blog buttons in the blog inside page?
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean a next and previous button on the blog post itself?

Good content idea!
hey my friend, are the layouts that you have, the tabs and the cards, did you design them before or am i missing something ?
Yes I designed them, but this would extend the topic of this video...

Maybe it is set to display none? You can also send me a read only link 🔗
Can I install or plug in the stock market to Webflow?
If you use a for this, sure
Why I can't using grid & cms at the same system?
Of course you can or maybe I misunderstand your question.
Thanks, but this video is not beginner friendly
What are you missing?
