Thank you Sam! I can say this is the most straightforward Webflow CMS tutorial I've ever come across. Been loving your content since you started this channel🥳🥳🥳🥳 Please don't stop making easy tutorials like this.
This is the exact video I've been looking for, for months! Many thanks! btw, I'm having a problem with the images. They aren't all the same size and have different spaces between each other because of it. Please help. edit: the images I used were of varying sizes. 3 were roughly 600 x 700 px and the last one was 1150 x 600 px nother edit: also, when adding more items, the page makes the existing items closer together and smaller, instead of growing bigger and making me scroll more
Thank you Sam. This seems easier that ACF, though probably not as powerful as Crocoblocks but that’s a premium platform. Glad someone demonstrated something other than a blog in Webflow
Great tutorial. I learned something new today. My question now is... What if I build a website like this for a listing broker who doesn't have skills in web flow. Can I have the same form for creating a listing in a user-facing way? Like he. logs in to the website as a user and adds the listing in. the front-end and saves it under. his account?
Hi Diego, yes webflow comes with an editor feature for the client to enter in cms data, which in this case would be house listings. Then once they've entered in this data a page for that house will automatically be created. So the editor allows the client to update house listings without having to touch the designer. Hope that helps 👍
@@sam-harrison Thank you for responding….to continue the conversation, my question would be how would I allow my client to do this? Would I have to give them access to my editor backend on webflow or could I create a webpage for them to change everything on their front page?
Hi Chaun, Webflows editor feature is designed for clients so you'd let them have access to this in order to add cms items on the back end and it also has a front end editor too where they can change text and images but not layout etc. Here's a video from Webflow showing this ruclips.net/video/t7moqInkxo4/видео.html
@@sam-harrison thank you all review the link you sent, hopefully it’ll give me better perspective. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question! Edit: ok I watched the video and I have this question, when you create the cms content is the “editor” page automatically created; and does it come with webflow branding?
Great video, thanks. What if I wanted those cards to be populated with location data (and image) from an API? Would I need to integrate some additional backend no code tool?
Im wondering how would you change the pictures inside the card? Would you maybe add a slider or something else? And instead of adding a text field for room numbers, would you use a custom field for numbers?
Excellent! My only concern was that for me, you were going a bit too fast. I'm still learning webflow so slower would have been better for me. Other than that, your video taught me a great deal about what I am about to do with my impending site. 😀
@@sam-harrison it's just that because I'm on chemo I have what's called chemo brain so it's hard for me to understand things. I'm really excited to switch from WordPress to webflow. I have my jazz radio shows I have been hosting since 1988. It looks like CMS is the answer. I just have to enter my shows into an excel document and then export import in CSV format. From there I might need help designing my simple layout. Your video helped a lot. It's just a matter of familiarizing myself with the design options. Thanks again!!! I have been watching the webflow university videos as well as any other videos I can watch as well. 😀

Also, I followed your tutorial and built a similar grid with properties etc. but on clicking on each of these tiles it doesn't take me to the full listing page? Should I do something about it like add action?
How can I exclude some elements from a specific project? For example I use videos on 4 projects but on my 5th project I don't have the video so I just want to add images. If I add them they will show on other projects too or if I remove the video element, I will remove it on other projects...any help?
I'm a fan of the cms functionality. Coupled with F'nsweet's filters and free scripts, the cms in webflow is very powerful. Not perfect... But quite good. They do need to add a few more field types in collections though...
Can anyone tell me how to format a list in CMS? I used text rich but it shows the text in lines in bullet format I can't add images or display list items in a grid. I spent days searching for a solution :(
@@sam-harrison I’m trying to create a collection for my projects, and each project has unordered lists of role responsibilities. Nice explanation mate! Like your mic; very clear and easy to listen to for the duration of the tutorial. 🙂

Hi, the video is very helpful. Well, I did not understand the part in last part, can you give us some information on how to link the pages?

Thanks dude! And yes it’s possible, worth having a look at Webflow’s api docs developers.webflow.com/reference/designer-api-reference
Do you have the tutorial coming on how to create a CMS input page to populate the CMS client side?
I'll add it to the list! although the process is very similar to the designer view 👍

Hi Asumi, I would probably use conditional visibility, that way it'll only show based on the instructions you set 👍
Maybe i have missed. but how we click to go to the individual item and then back to the collection?
