Matty Beniers and Andre Burakovsky both scored and added two assists to help the Seattle Kraken pick up the win in an 8-5 thriller against the San Jose Sharks.
That's a nice hat trick you got there, Timo Meier. It would be a shame if it got spoiled because the opposition set a franchise record for goals tonight.
The sharks are not a playoff team how spoiled can it be? Kahkonen and many of the Sharks on defense dont even belong in the NHL or are just holding on to the spot before they kicked out of NHL. It is a low bar for a franchise record. Did Jones set a Kraken record for most goals he allowed also? Jones is not good enough to be a #1 goalie either.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants first, it's litteraly the start of their second season, 8 is really not bad. Second Jones definitely didn't set a goals allowed record for seattle, plus he's literally having a carreer year right now, you can't base you're opinion on a single off night.

@@hotsimdrum YT hid your comment to the public but I can still see it. It can be way easier for an expansion team to make themselves better than the bottom 10 just due to the clean cap situation and being able to get players other teams literally cant. When the Knights got MAF the Sharks had no option to get him at the time. An expansion team can get cap dumped players or take on big contracts in free agency other teams have no option to take. The Sharks pay money to Burns and Jones for a few more years. That is wasted cap. It is cool Sea is giving the fans watchable games but if they were seriously going for a cup win Jones is not the guy. What is the most goals Jones has given up as a kraken was my question. If 5 is the most he either broke it or tied it. There is a 99.9% chance I have seen more Martin Jones games than you ever have. Did you even know he used to play for the Sharks? In his prime he was a B grade starter. Now he is a #2 goalie at best. The Sharks literally hurt their own cap to be rid of him.
@@nickkorzeniewski230 The Sharks only lead by 1 goal bro the whole game. You would think it was a 3 goal or more comeback talking like that. Giving up 5 goals @ home to a non playoff team is NEVER playing amazing.

Sharks have a lot of trade bait and should net us some good picks. Come on Grier let’s finish blowing this team up and start the full on rebuild, so we can be competing in 3-5 years!
Tonight we got a glimpse of what this team will look like once Reimer is traded. This blue line cannot defend and Kahkonen cannot bail the team out as much Reimer has done in games such as the recent Rangers game.
I have said it before but the Sharks need a 4 goalie rotation. The Sharks need to rotate players that give up goals too that are not a goalie. It is too bad the roster size is so small when a team is rebuilding like the Sharks are. If I was the Sharks I would be looking to get a 1st and 2nd round pick for Timo. I would be asking Karl what teams he wants to be traded to and try to force that. The Sharks still pay cap money to Martin Jones for a few more years. I am glad he is gone though. I just wish Sharks scouts and Grier could make some effort to getting a legit #1 goalie or letting him play now. The Sharks on defense looked worse than KAHKONEN but I just do not see the upside to KAHKONEN. He just does not look like a #1 goalie at all. I would bench some of the defense in front of him or coaches though for that performance.

Kahkonen is like Martin Jones in the 18-19 season. Either lights out, or completely garbage. No in between.
Kahkonen would be my #4 goalie. Many of the Sharks playing defense would get benched too.
Remier would be a decent #2 pickup for a playoff team.
