Likely the best tutorial I've seen yet, as you point out details that will allow me to get the finished look I'm after. I'm actually more an intermediate in skill but am self taught so it's been hit and miss and trial and error so I am so pleased to come across this video because the tips you share are so helpful. I look forward to more in future.

Heading right now over to Etsy to purchase the pattern. Thank you for the detailed video instructions. Can’t say enough about this tutorial as well as the written pattern. The simplicity of explanation and the attention to detail is absolutely extraordinary. Even being left handed, I had no issue. I can’t tell you how many sweater patterns I’ve tried with such disappointment as they’ve lack detail, continuity, and clarity. Not so with this! Thanks so much for the time and effort you’ve put into making this tutorial. I’m just sorry that there aren’t any additional sweater patterns to create. Thanks again!🙏

I bought the printed pattern as soon as I saw it. As someone who has surfed the internet for crochet patterns for twenty years, this is BY FAR, the most BEAUTIFULLY presented printable pattern I have ever seen. The organisation of the information, the cute graphics, the clarity, the RUclips timings and links : GENIUS!

I’m still working on matching gauge.
This will be my second crochet adult sized garment- with the first, I learned valuable lessons, including the importance of matching dye lots when using wool, and that I hate sewing a heap of seams- so this is ideal.

I’m almost done with this lovely cardigan. I’ll have you know that Zi rarely buy patterns since there are a plethora of them for free on-line. I started this by following the RUclips video. I kind of felt like they left me hanging by not showing how to complete the body. I tried to do it in my own then gave in and bought the pattern. I had to frog about 6 rows, but that’s ok. It was worth it. I did the border using front post and back post, but otherwise followed the pattern. Thanks for showing me a new method of ribbing. I really enjoyed making it.

The pattern itself is well written and easy to follow. Unfortunately, it does not fit a size 2x as written. It needs at least 15 more stitches per front panel because it will not close even with the collar ribbing. I just left it as a no button cardigan but I'm super disappointed that I did all this work to get a pattern that fits in the arms and back but is not big enough in the front.

Thank you so much for your thorough tutorial. I’m inspired to complete this cardigan because your reasons made it clear how to move forward. I’m considering to use a larger needle to make it loose for my large size body and doing a US half double crochet with the single crochets. Since the stitch is shorter than the double crochet, I was going to make it longer to accommodate my derrière! 😃Any suggestions? Again thanks from Brooklyn, NY.

Hmm I’d stick with the us double or the angle of the sleeve won’t be the same. But do let me know how you get on if you do use the half double xx

Hi there, can I use a herringbone double crochet stitch for this pattern?
I have made the first jersey and it came out supper cool, I ran out of wool though for the front ribbing and the arms, I have to re-stock. Thank you so much for this beginner friendly pattern.👌

Hello dear, I'm following you from Egypt, my English is not so good so I can't understand how much yarn weigh I need for this very beautiful cardigan at the same size 😍?

I have bought the pattern and really looking forward to making this cardigan and ideally would like to use wool already in my stash. The problem is that the recommended hook size for this wool is 3-3,5, although I think I could get away with using a size 4. It's obviously going to work out smaller, but I'm wondering if by making a larger size (I am size 40) and by adding more rows whether it would be possible. I am also not sure whether starting the pattern with 41 chains will work with this wool or should I be starting with more chains. Many thanks
