that's nice unless you are on SSI because the SSI asset limit of $2,000 still apply for SSI regardless of what the Medicaid asset limit is. The SSI asset limit has not changed in nearly 4 decades, and needs to change. Funny thing is if SSI recipient goes over asset limit of $2,000 the benefits stop and so does the Medicaid that is attached to it.
